Holidayphone

HolidayPhone is a SCAM! I ordered 2 prepaid SIM cards for our US travel, the order was made 26th June. Delivery of ONE SIM was made 6th July. I Immediately made a ticket to their support, they didn't answer until 19th July after I also posted on their Facebook page. They sent SIM #2 with FedEx and the SIM arrived 24th July, AFTER we left home for the airport, they are now claiming that they have done their job.

Arriving to US the SIM #1 didn't work and after 3 days of struggling and new tickets to the support we found a t-mobile store (Holidayphone are using t-mobile) where they told us the SIM wasn't activated and needed activation from HolidayPhone. We simply bought a new SIM in the store and it was working from start.

Holidayphone still haven't answered our last ticket after 4 days….. ??

The advise is to NOT buy anything from HolidayPhone, they are a SCAM! They don't answer support tickets on time and doesn't have a phone number where they are reachable. We did visit their office in Stockholm on the way to the airport but no one in the reception knew anything about Holidayphone. #holidayphone #holidayphoneisascam #tmobile

Let the buyer beware.

A nightmare I bought a South African Sim card and paid about 47 Euros for a bundle with airtime and 2 gig of data plus about a further 12 Euros for callforwarding.

I had several emails with them before I left for South Africa to try to understand how this all worked. To my horror the sim card did not work when I got to South Africa. I went into a mobile phone shop at the airport. They found that there was neither airtime nor data on the card. I spent 299 Rand [about 拢18.00 getting airtime and 1 gig of data put on the card]. It was not until 4 days later that I managed, after further emails, to get the airtime and 2 gig hat I had bought from them credited. A nightmare. And they have refused to re-reimburse me for the airtime and 1 gig of data that I had bought at the airport even though, had i done nothing, I would have had no airtime or data at alI.

Callforwarding did not work at first, but eventually [after a week] it did – but by then I was shortly to return to the UK.

I have only sought 299 Rand as compensation. They have refused even that. They offered a 50% discount on my next purchase from them. But I could not accept that. I would have no faith in their ever being able to perform their contract.

I purchased through Pay Pal. So I have now gone through their Resolution of Dispute process. If that fails, Sect 75 Consumer Credit Act will come into play.

Having now read the posts on Trustpilot and tripadvisor, I realise that I was wrong to get involved with this company.

Never again

I had a SIM card for a trip to South Africa.
It worked, but I had to contact the customer service multiple times, as they did not provide me with important information such as my phone number, my client number, start date, or just clear information on how my plan works.
Their customer service was responsive, but I should just not need to contact them as much!
Also I found that their prices are actually higher than local companies… so I would not recommend to anyone.
