The agency is actually not in the Milan train station but few streets away (contrary to what鈥檚 written on the website while booking the car). The office in Milano quite difficult to find as Green Motion is not written anywhere. None of the car damages are recorded (and there were a lot) so take pictures of everything to not have any problem, including the oil level as it is not full when you get the car. I wanted to pay what was left during pick up but they didn鈥檛 want and told me I have to pay when giving the car back.
The worst is to come to give back the car. Have to leave it at a location different from the pick up location and i wasn鈥檛 informed about that. Nobody was at the office to receive the keys, proceed with the payment and confirm the pick up. I had to leave the keys and the money at the parking staff who has nothing to do with the agency.
If you want a smooth and no stress renting, don鈥檛 use Green Motion !!

I booked a hire car from Green Motion / Palermo Airport via easyJet. The documentation I received told me that I could call their office and get a shuttle bus from the airport. This I did – only to be informed that lcoal regulations forbid the shuttle bus from taking more than 1 person. So I had to leave my wife at the airport – where she later saw the same Green Motion shuttle bus pick up 2 people. The car pickup was smooth, apart from a rather heated discussion about excess insurance etc, and the car was relatively new. On returning the car on Saturday, it was insopected witha fine toocomb and I was informed there were 'lines' down the right hand side from brushing past vegetation. I couldn't really see any such lines. I have now received an invoice for 261 euros comprising 4 x 50 euros for polishing rear right panel, right rear door, right front door, and right front panel, plus a 50 euro admin charge. A huge charge for what would be a quick and simple polish job (I asked a friend in the repair business about this). I have replied to Green Motion that I don't accept their invoice, and I have also instructed my bank that it is to dispute the charge when the funds are withdrawn from my credit card. Again, all the poor reviews I have read about Green Motion ripping off customers with excessive charges for minor repairs seem true. I'll also be letting easyJet and Cartrawler know, plus other travel review websites.

Contrary to the bad reviews, I had a good and smooth experience with Green Motion Palermo. Collection of the car was quick and easy, my friends had to stay at the airport while I collected the car as only the main driver was allowed in the shuttle, which was fine and responsible of them for taking these measures with Covid. There was a queue as only 2 men were working when I returned the car, so a bit of a wait but nothing extreme. I would personally use them again, especially as their prices are reasonable

1. I made a booking and I pick up the car on July 25th, after that I made a deposit of 1500 euro with my credit card

2. On July 29th, I returned the car with 'dirty' condition and after an hour I got an email they will charge me 40euros for the cleaning fee and they will return the remaining deposit

3. On August 13th, I check my credit card transactions details, and turned out there are two transactions; on July 29th Greenmotion charge me 40,5 euros and on July 31th Greenmotion charge me 1459,5 euros!!! they never return my deposit and they stole it without telling me anything!

4. On August 13th, I immediately contact the customer service team, their staff in Milan central station responded and his name is Alessandro Tonet. He is very very rude, and he told me that I broke the car side mirrors(?) and I need to pay for it. I was asking the proof, and he sends me pictures of the car, based on the timestamp he took the picture on August 31st and the car condition is already different (maybe there's someone else that already use the car between august 29 and 31).

4. On August 14th, two of my friends that live in Milan came to their office and they met with Alessandro Tonet, so he confirmed that he took all my deposit because when the car returned there is no damage at all the car, however when he washed the car the side mirror is damaged and he told my friends that it is my fault(?!?!?!)
He didn't tell me anything about took my deposit because he was too lazy to send the email and he can not speak English. HE DIDNT SEND ME ANY NOTIFICATION TO TOOK ALL MY DEPOSIT ON PURPOSE BECAUSE HE CAN NOT SPEAK ENGLISH!!!
However, he agreed to to send me my money on Monday, August 17th

5. This morning, I send Alessandro Tonet a reminder via email to send me back my money, and (again) he is being very impolite and rude, and he is calling me "mad" and he told me all of this issue happened because it is my fault. what kind of uneducated person he is 🙁

I booked a car at Greenmotion Palermo through Rentalcars.com several months ahead of my vacation in Sicily for a very cheap fee.
The car was prepaid so I never thought it should be an issue that I arrived 1,5 hour in delay to pick it up as a prepaid car should be there waiting for me, one should think….!
But unfortunately I had forgot my credit card at my friends home (a very short ride from the car office) and I was told the booking expired 2,5 hours after the agreed pick-up time.
So, they didn't give me the car when my friend arrived with the credit card though I had been waiting all the time in the Greenmotion offie for my friend to pick it up at his home….!!!
The persons in the office were very rude to me and also to another customer, being very rigid and not at all wanting to find a solution…though Rentalcars.com tried to tell them to help me.
But the call center staff of Rentalcars.com was very nice and helpfull, but unfortunately they couldn't convince Greenmotion to give me the car…

DON'T BOOK THIS AGENCY! Worst experience ever! I will never book through this agency again!!
When I brought the rented car back to them, there was some dust on the outside of the car. The Green Motion employee said that that was a scratch. I showed him I could remove that dust even with my finger and he told me "don't touch the car".
As he kept insisting that there was a scratch, I took a cloth and some water and cleaned it up perfectly, there was absolutely no scratch, just some dirt that was cleaned away with a wet cloth.

Even after I cleaned the dirt up, he insisted saying that there was a scratch before. I called one of his colleague to check, and although he couldn't spot anything, he said there was a damage, but when I asked him where was the damage, he couldn't even point at it, because there was none.

They made me waste 1 hour and 30 minutes just to give a car back.
They are just trying to cheat, please BE CAREFUL!!! AVOID GREEN MOTION!!

Despite all the (I can say now) extremely accurate NEGATIVE reviews about the company, we (as most of the others unfortunate GreenMotion customers) were allured by the low price offered.

We rented a car with GreenMotion (our first try with that company) at Palermo, Cinisi location, and we experienced EXACTLY every issue that many others reported before:

– refusal to accept my personal credit card (that I have already commonly used for dozens of other rentals); in the end I had to use my corporate card

– insistent offering of a "full coverage" additional insurance, even though we already had signed one with rentalcars.com (that they tried to insinuate wasn't enough)

– a suspiciously "accurate" pick-up car inspection (where they marked some scratches but tended to ignore the additional ones we noticed – we had to confront about each one, and when we returned the car we were glad we did)

We returned the car without any additional scratch (we had been extremely careful during the week, since we knew they would have tried to charge us extra costs in every possible manner).

During their inspection they could not find any damage to charge, then… guess what?

The employee layed down and stretched his arm to take a picture with his cell phone under the front bumper and with satisfaction he finally showed me a blurry pic of what he considered to be a new scratch (the entire scene was quite hilarious, BTW)!!

Of course, that was our fault: we had not considered this possibility and so we had not taken pictures of the underneath of the car using some long-arm camera stick during pick-up control.

Therefore, we were charged an additional 430 euros (380 for the damage + 50 euros of "administrative costs") for a scratch that was not even visible, and quite surely pre-existing.

Given the number of customers reporting the very same experiences I am now personally convinced that this is not an occasional behavior but a well established operational strategy to do revenues despite the low prices.

So please, if you are (like we were) still stubbornly attracted by the promise of a low price despite the numerous negative reviews, please please change your mind.

And if you decide to rent with this GreenMotion anyway, at least be aware that they will try literally everything to charge you with extra-costs, so take a full 360-view 3D high-definition picture coverage of the car, and… don't forget the underneath!

Also, be sure to get a serious (not theirs) "full coverage" additional insurance.

Hope this could avoid you some unwanted (especially during vacation) bothering.

I would advise everyone NOT to rent a car through Green Motion Rome, this is a company that cheats on tourists.They invented that my credit card was not a real credit card but a debit/prepaid card. Even though I speak Italian fluently,I was unable to get the car with. extra 307,-

The term and conditions available on their web site do not match the terms and conditions (in Italian and barely readable) that you will have to sign upon car check-out which makes it barely impossible to prepare before hand. In case of problems, they applies whatever suits them best.

Don't be fooled with their apparent reactivity to comment on this site, they quickly stop responding to any of your concerns or need for clarification. And don't assume everything will work out smoothly as you will be provided with a 2 years car with important mileage, bad tires and many scratches. Unfortunately this is precisely a situation were you would expect crystal clear terms and conditions. You should expect to pay several times the rental price in case of any minor problem even if they are consecutive to the bad initial car condition. Ask specifically for complete damage matrix price list and administrative fees before signing contract.

Would I rent again from them ? Clearly not !

I currently have an opposition open for an invoice (Palermo office) having several positions in violation of their own terms of the contract. Without even closing the opposition or waiting end of the 30d procedure, they charged my credit card. Gladly I have purchased a lawyer service which will take over from now. They have very strange way to do business and completely free interpretation of their own terms, so be aware, it can quickly turns as a nightmare.

First of, if you looking for the 鈥淧isa airport鈥?green motion forget it already. It is actually situated 20 min away from the airport so if this isn鈥檛 enough to scare you away already. When you finally make it to the office you will be greeted by a very 鈥渏unior crew鈥?(I鈥檓 trying to express my self as controlled as possible) with bad English and poor service skills. After a while more and more hidden fees pops up and the 鈥渇ull insurance鈥?isn鈥檛 what you wanted and you 鈥渉ave to add more to stay safe鈥? All the bureaucracy and paperwork took a solid 45 min before we where on our way. When it was time to return the car there was a lot of inspection time a complaints about every small dirt stain. Then we where promised to be returned back (remember that the rental station is far away from the airport/city) but since this was apparently only when they had 鈥渘ot so much to do鈥?we where refused. This resulted in a cab and train ride back…. to summarise it: you will save a lot of time, money and energy in the long run by going for a normal car rental

GREEN MOITION-FIUMICINO – Parker booking – 17.8.19 to 24.8.19. AVOID or if you have no other choice TAKE PICTURES of your car before you drive away. Our experience with this company was dire from start to finish. Firstly it took atleast half an hour to pick us up from the airport, turns out there is only one person doing this and on some days he is also manning the desk on his own. We paid online with a broker and thought we鈥檇 paid with full cover, we had this in writing but the company said we weren鈥檛 covered and we had to pay another 拢280. We were told with this cover we were FULLY COVERED and if anything happened we would have ZERO to pay. When we returned the car he checked it and said there was a slice in the tyre, we told him we were fully covered but he said it didn鈥檛 include tyres, he showed us the small print. When we paid the 拢280 extra the lady on the desk told us specifically that we had ZERO to pay no matter what happened and did not mention tyres as a separate entity. LUCKILY we took pictures of the vehicle before we left and it clearly showed the damage was there before we took it (so they sent us out with a defective tyre) Without that evidence they were wanting 拢260 for a new tyre! Please, please take photos and be VERY careful, they will make up any lies to get a bit more cash out of you and you have no choice because you have a flight to catch!!! Also beware the 鈥榤eek鈥? non confrontational man who picks you up and checks the car, he is devious and knows exactly what he is doing. He鈥檚 playing a character of 鈥榡ust doing his job鈥?and won鈥檛 let you speak to a manager, this is clearly because he is the manager but won鈥檛 admit it.

We booked for 2 child seats for a 2 year old and a 4 month old, yet they picked us up in a car from airport with no seats so there was no choice but to travel with no safety. Totally illegal. And the driver drive with one hand the whole way, the other clutching her cigarettes.

Then when we got there they bought out 2 battered old seats, one wrecked totally. But neither suited to a toddler at all, again not legally compliant seats for a 4 month old baby, he would have to sit upright in the seat and hold himself up. Again, hes 4 months old – he cant sit up and its horrendously dangerous.

Their response – this is what we have, go to the airport and find a different firm if you want.

Also, the car was stated as a guaranteed modem in all communications. Suffice to say they apparently don't even have that model, another straight forward lie.

Finally, the "return empty" con. Receiving a car with 20km fuel in it, but you're bound to return it with a decent level if fuel which they pocket.

They seem cheap, but they are unprofessional, and frankly illegal in terms of safety. Don't touch them if you're a family.

UPDATE: I emailed greenmotion, who said that though they stated "Citroen DS7 Crossback Automatic 2019 Guaranteed" the only guarnateed part is apaprently "2019". Very misleading / dishonest. They failed to respond or acknowledge the issues with the condition of child seats nor the lack of inserts/child seat for a baby. Finally, they stated they are not responsible for the journey from the airport to them by shuttle – just beware if you choose to use them.

Avoid this company like the plague, i booked a car with them for my vacation in Sardinia, paid for the car online with my credit card in advance. I was at a hotel 16 km from Alghero and took a taxi to the airport to pick the car, i took my wife and 11 months baby and payed 38 euro for the taxi. Lady at the counter told me that they cant accept my card (the exact same one that i used to book the car with and the one that was perfectly fine for them to take money from) It didnt matter that i used this card with tens of other car hiring companies before, my wife started crying and we go take a taxi for 35 euro back to the hotel. When i asked the lady at the counter to speak with a manager the dialogue went as follows: – Can i speak with the manager?
– No, he is not here
– When is he coming?
– Later
– Later when? at what hour?
– I dont know?
– How can you not know that?
– He is coming monday, monday
I wrote an email to them explaining the situation and asking for my money back, i paid for the service that i didnt get, i was present on time ready to take thr car, of course they refused stating that there is a small piece of text in the middle of thousands of other lines in the terms and agreements that i should have read, stating that they require only 2 specific types of cards at the pick up and all cards are fine for booking, what a nice little scam. Upon reading some more about the company and how they make you pay for damages that you didnt cause (try googling the company) i am convinced that they are scamming people with an array of tricks, dont get fooled by their low prices, you will pay mutch more in the end. AVOID AT ALL COST

Totally awful, to avoid absolutely.We have been very careful with the car the all holiday and they managed to charge us 200 euros for a pre existing tiny scratch. After a month we came back from Sicily we had to pay a speed conviction (very discutable as no speed camera flashed or police stopped us, apparently 54km/h instead of 50km/h on the last day of our holiday) adding a 60euros administration fee. Make sure to read all the small prints or you will have bad surprise. We should have run away when all the people were shooting at them in their office. We really advise you to stay away from them. Don't let you attract by the "apparent cheaper service" as by the end of the trip it will cost much more if you go with them. Very disappointed.

I discourage everybody from renting the car at greenmotion!

Together with my girlfriend we rented the car at greenmotion in Palermo, Cinisi location for 507 EUR for 14 days in Sicily. I made the booking, through Rentalcars.com, and my girlfriend paid with her credit card.

On the pick-up day, the employee told us that we can鈥檛 get the car as my girlfriend鈥檚 credit card is not matching with the name on the reservation (but for greenmotion was ok when she made the payment for the total cost when booking!)

But they said that if we pay additionally 390鈧?+200鈧?as guarantee then 鈥渨e can now even lose the car!鈥?Otherwise we will get 200鈧?back. So we made the deal.

We returned the car without any additional scratches (the car had many when renting). We also washed carefully to meet all the conditions of the agreement: wash the car before returned (personally I had never this request by a rental car company).

But the greenmotion鈥檚 employee told us that he found one new scratch on the trunk that was not there before (when we picked up the car, the car was dirty, covered with dust so small scratches were not well visible). Now they want to keep all the money 200鈧?+addional 61鈧?to cover the damage!

Checking time at check-in was 3 min.

Checking time at check-out was 30 min to find all possible small scratches (very ridiculous).

Please avoid this company. I鈥檓 sure that if we returned the car dirty they would charge us for dirty car. There are no good solutions. They will find any way to take as much as possible from you. Keep away from greenmotion!

Total of 1.097鈧?for fiat panda) vs initial booking 507鈧?nice lancia Y) for rental.
