ALWAYS DO THE CHECK OUT AND SIGN THE FORM BEFORE RETURNING THE KEY

On the 7th of January I returned the KIA (SG 5783W) to the parking lot at Warsaw Chopin airport (1st level). At 16:25 I tried to call the office and insisted to have somebody to come over and check the car's conditions. I was told instead to bring the key to the office because a later inspection would take place. At 19:49 I received the report saying that the car had two scratches of approx. 10 cm in front. I was charged 1617,14 PLN.
I have photos showing the car at delivering and demonstrating that the inspection was carried out 3 hours later. Additionally, I also have records of the call to the office and I did not sign any check out paper. All this documents did not help in clarifying the matter.
Until today I have been in contact first with the trader and then with autoeurope (through which I made the reservation) and ECC net (European Consumer Centres Network). The trader and autoeurope did not really look at my case. ECC net could not get in touch with the trader and decided to close the case.

PLEASE DO NOT BOOK from this company. They put the customer in trouble. I booked the car before 5 weeks for 1 week in WROCLAW airport and when I arrived they denied to give me car saying, they wont give since I had indian licence. It was in English and I got car in many countries in Europe. I was in POLAND for 1st time with my kids and I needed to travel 130km to my hotel. I didn't know what to do so I enquired in next door car company at airport and they gave me the car without any issue, only thing is I had to pay 10 times. I faced so much trouble plus I paid 10 times for car renting even after booking 5 weeks before. BELIEVE on others review, I didn't and suffered.

The worst rental company ever. They charged us additional 400zl for cleaning 1 week after car was returned! I wonder what kind of cleaning was it to charge that much. I know prices in Poland. It is a simply rib of. Be aware before using them. I have heard that they always find something to apply extra charge for no reason.

Avoid, Avoid, Avoid at all costs. Ripped me off for damage I did not do. Returned the car and the employee said everything is fine. I then received a bill for scratches underneath the front bumper which I did not do. Complained to the desk at Krakow airport and they said nothin they can do. Totally unprofessional company. Stay away.

Katowice – Airport
I was unhappy when seen bad Reviews after I rented a car on Katowice Airport, these boys there are very good and professional and onest too. You have to check the car before make pictures come back if you are unhappy to add missing scratches, read the contract, leave the flue receipt don't forget to leave the ticket, clean car or just pay for extra for full cover no deposit. I was happy with Customer Service.

They simply look for ways to charge you with extra costs. In our case rent and full insurance was prepaid. Guess what, they informed that deposit can not be charged on my credit card because it is valid only for next 3 months. As a result I was forced, if i still wanted to pick up the car, to pay for their insurance and full petrol tank – value of about 160Euro extra. No possibility to contact managers or other person to escalate issue and resolve it. I will hand over the case to the Polish Trade Control Agency.

NEVER BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY!
Upon booking, I provided the flight number, which is obviously used to review incoming flights in case of delays. It turned out that our flight was delayed and because of this, we arrived much later than expected. We were already tired and hungry upon arrival but it got even worse when we tried to get our rental car – the rental office was closed with no sign to suggest when it would reopen. I tried to call the number provided in the email but was unsuccessful in getting through. I then attended the information desk in the airport and asked if they would help – the nice lady tried calling the company as well but was also unsuccessful (her thoughts were that it was 7pm and the office should be open). After this disappointment, I then returned upstairs to the rental car office and noticed a man walk in to the office. At this point I was quite annoyed with him having the office closed so I showed my annoyance to him – his name was Phillip and he refused to give me his last name. Phillip proceeded to tell me that I was at fault given the delay and that I hadn't called them to let them know – I was in the air without a means to call the rental car office but Phillip thought I should have. Phillip was a terrible customer service agent and he should not be in the role that deals with customers! After some discussion, I then asked for our car but it wasn't ready – Phillip had to check if it was there and check the level of cleaniness on the car. After some time, Phillip returned and we proceeded through the process of signing documents and so on – our conversation was very friendly at this stage. However, after Phillip had attempted to upsell and the documents were signed, he continued back to his earlier conversation suggesting that I was at fault for not contacting the car rental office to suggest my flight was delayed. Phillip was an ignorant, arrogant person who doesn't deserve to be in his job – I will never rent a car from Global-Rent-A-Car again due to Phillip's attitude and I will be advising all friends and family to do the same.

If you're thinking in renting a cheap car with this company rest assured that you'll end up paying at least 3 times more you would with any other car company!
I was a recent victim of their bait and switch technique.
Hired a fiat 500 for 1 and half day to go to a funeral ended up getting a much larger kia seed kombi, the car damage description was full of markings, damages which I could barely see in the car itself which left me very suspicious. Our trip was short and uneventful and so imagine our dismay when a hour later upon returning the car I was sent a detail of two fictional scratches supposedly done by me and a a couple days later a 300鈧?bill deducted from my deposit.

This company's business model is clearly attract customers with low prices and then charged them heavily with fictional damages.

Stay away from this company!

Adding our voice to the many others "taken for a ride" by Global Rent-a-Car in Poland. We rented through Auto Europe, and picked up the car in Krakow Balice Airport. On initial inspection, we noted and photographed all existing blemishes on the car, checked for spare tire, jack and emergency triangle (there were none), checked the fluids (wiper fluid COMPLETELY empty – fortunately, there were two young men there, and one had access to a gallon of fluid to add; oil looked clean and acceptable), and accepted delivery of the vehicle for our 5 day rental.

No incidents whatsoever during our rental. Photographed the car again, returned the car to the parking deck (no attendant to receive it), delivered the key and parking paper to the rental desk, and continued to our flight.

And, DRUMROLL please, today we get an email bill for DAMAGES to the rear bumber for $247 USD, for a blemish less than 3 mm length on the UNDERPART of the bumper. We would have needed a magnifying glass and a flashlight to see it. They remarked on the return invoice, "Denting and Heavily Damaged varnish to foundation". REALLY?!!!

And note that this is the same bumper with 6 noted damage spots at time of rental. If they had collected for each prior blemish they would have collected $1482 before us and "fixed the bumper" several times over. SCAM.

We will fight this charge.

Hello

I am not in the habit of writing emails in order to complain, but sometimes the management needs to be aware of the franchises that mistreat people in order to make a quick profit and need to take appropriate action(s).

I rented a car, a Fiat 7 seater DOBLO 2-3 months ago to be picked up from your office in Athens at Leoforos Syggrou 22.

Pick up date was July 6th at 6 pm and return date was July 14th at 6 pm.
When I picked up the car everything was smooth and the service was good.
I actually went to the office at 17:15 just to make sure everything is ok. All was good and I picked up the car. The tank was empty so I had to stop immediately to put gas in the car. Not a big problem and due to summer high season I did not complain.

I was supposed to return the car on the 14th at 6 pm. I was at one of the Greek islands, Crete to be exact. The boat was supposed to arrive on the 14th at 17:30 pm at the port of Piraeus and I would have plenty of time to return the car on time, but due to weather conditions and late departure from Chania it arrived at 19:15. The lady from the office called me to find out about the car as I was driving to the office and I explained to her that I was on my way and would be there at 19:30. She immediately said that there is going to be a surcharge which I did not like as she had an attitude. I kindly asked her if there was another customer waiting for the car and she said no. So I repeated that I was on my way. She said we discuss when you come over.
I arrived at 19:30 and entered the office explaining that the boat was late. She said that she would charge me a full extra day. I really thought she wanted to discuss. I guess I was wrong. I asked how much would you charge me for being 1 hour late and she said 50 Euros. That was outrageous. I smiled and I said that this was not friendly as 50 euros is the actual day charge for the car and did not understand why she wanted to charge me a full day. I told her I would keep the car then for an extra full day and return it the next day. She replied that the charge then according to local charges would be 100Euros and she offered to call the police on me. So I was treated as a criminal at that point. I tried to explain to her that she was not making sense and that she should not be threatening me with the word Police.
She said that the car was picked at 17:15 therefore it was expected at 17:15 the latest. I explained that I was there earlier to pick it up in order to avoid any possible delays and she offered me to take the car at that time. She said that they usually allow one hour at no charge.
So basically I was supposed to return the car at 18:00 plus one hour extra at no charge makes it 19:00. In other words I was 30 min late and she wanted to charge me 50 euros for those 30 minutes. I really think that this is not the way that you want to treat your customers.
At that point I told her that I was not happy. And here is what she did. She checked the car and said that not only she will charge me the friendly price of 50 euros but an additional 20 euros in order to clean up the car.
So basically I was charged an additional 70 euros for being 30 min late.
I just paid the 70 euros with my credit card as I was tired and wanted to go home and rest. The lady felt really good and she did not even give me a receipt for that transaction.

I hope you will take proper action(s) on this and I will wait to hear from you on what those actions are.

I am deeply disappointed with the way I was treated, specially when this lady threatened to call the police and of course being a selfish lady who felt good charging me an additional 20 Euros for cleaning services.

In all the yeas that I travel around the world I have never been treated like that and I know that all rental cars are taken to be cleaned and washed regardless for the next customer who will use them.

People like this rude lady give a very bad name to your company

I am seriously thinking to post all this in social media if I do not hear from you regarding your action(s).

Regards

Eleftherios Exacoustos

Fraudulent claim avoid this company at all costs. Seems cheap when booking but will cost you at least 拢150 per scratch they fabricate against you. Same as most other reviews, never had issues renting cars in Poland yet global rent a car WILL charge you for damage to the car which was not caused during the rental. You will receive email once you return saying that they have withdrawn funds out of the deposit for damage to the car. They fabricated the claim against us, charged 拢300 (seems to be a standard 拢150 charge per scratch as our friends also had the same but only one scratch 拢150) the pictures they sent us are the faintest marks that probably if they was to wash the car probably in the first place would come out, worst case I touch of t-cut. I took photos before and after and again it鈥檚 pointless as customer service is non existent. There attitude is that if you insure through them they won鈥檛 charge you, if you are insured with 3rd party or not insured they will charge you for something. What goes around comes around and this fraud will catch up with them eventually….. I gave them the benefit of the doubt despite bad reviews and look what happened so please just go elsewhere

Hired a car from this hire company and the car had so many dents and scratches it would have taken up most of my memory on my camera to document. After returning it with no issues from me they decided to keep 拢300 of my deposit for a scratch that i did not cause and for returning it dirty. Considering it was raining when i returned it back to the airport i think they were expecting me to get a shammy on it and wax it. What a joke!!! DO NOT HIRE FROM THIS ROBBING OUTFIT….

Exceptionally poor customer service. On arrival no one was at the desk, I called the number and the guy came along reasonably quickly. While I was being served other customers arrived, at which point he stopped serving me and started serving them which involved lengthy discussions. I found this exceptionally rude.
However, the problems really started after arrival back in the UK. Apparently I was snapped speeding at some point and Global Rent a car requested further 150Zl to process the fine. Ok fine. However, they provided every single detail to Polish traffic enforcement incorrectly. To avoid potential problems visiting Poland in the future I tried to contact Global rent a car to correct the details and ensure the fine was paid ASAP. They insist on you emailing them for support to which they can take up to 1 month to respond and frequently do. I spoke to one customer service person who was extremely rude, totally unhelpful and very unprofessional. Customer service have not helped at all and would not escalate my issue to senior managers. I will never ever ever again use Global rent a car.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Like many other reviewers, I had the same problem with Global Rent-a-Car, renting from the Poznan Airport in Poland. I had been connected with Global Rent-a-Car through holidayautos.com. When I arrived to pick up my car during their stated business hours (10 am on a Saturday) I was charged an additional 150 zl. Their hours were stated as 0800-2000 on the Holiday Autos reservation confirmation email. The attendant did not do a walk-thru of the vehicle but simply showed me a piece of paper that demonstrated where existing damage was on the vehicle. I refused to sign the document unless the attendant did a walk through but he let me take the vehicle anyway. When I returned the vehicle two weeks later, again during their stated hours, there was no attendant present to do a walk-thru of the vehicle. I left the keys in the key box and went on to my flight out of the country. One week later I received a 2,600 zl bill for damage to the rear bumper. Global sent along pictures of a small 2 inch crack in the bumper of the rented vehicle, which could have been caused by any vehicle backing in and out of the rental car parking lot. I certainly did not cause the damage during my time with the car. The damage amount was conveniently close to the damage deposit of 3,000 zl that they had authorized on my credit card. I'm in the process of fighting it through my Barclay's credit card. It's hard to take any other action against Global from back in the U.S. My recommendation to any other traveler in Poland (especially U.S. citizens who seem to be targets) is DO NOT USE GLOBAL RENT A CAR (or any third party providers that have Global in their network such as Holiday Autos).

in Munich, via BSP cars, instead of a Ford Focus sw they gave us a Skoda Fabia sw, it's definitely not the same category. the next day they took 50 鈧?for the cleaning of the vehicle, which was never accepted in the contract and was never claimed by them. it's a real scam, never Global anymore.
