Their customer service is inadequate. When you call looking for sales you will talk with a human quickly. Call when you are looking for service on an existing account and it was literally 4.5 minutes of automated verification only to be told to call back M-F. Just tell me upfront that customer service is only available M-F; I wouldn't have wasted my time. I'll call back Monday about the mysterious charge on my credit card that is not listed anywhere on the monthly statement.

Worst experience I have ever had! WARNING RUN away from these liars and cheats they held up almost $20,000 of our money saying that they flagged us for high risk! Their solution was they want us to sign a contract consenting to allow them to keep 30% of our transactions before they will release our funds! Highway mafia style robbers hiding in plane site! We have done business with them for almost a year and they did this to us! This is unacceptable and unethical! I鈥檓 contacting a lawyer, writing a complaint to the NJ Division of Consumer affairs and contacting my friend at NJ 12 news! How dare they do this to people especially during COVID-19! We do emergency Heating and Air Conditioning and they are keeping our money!

Money stealers there agents are professional liars they will start stealing money as much as they can any problem on machine they send another one and they charge you on it even if it鈥檚 not your fault
If you want to talk to some one to fix the problem you need at least two hours they will transfer you from someone who other no one knows what鈥檚 going wrong and every couple days there鈥檚 something wrong

I ended up with a Clover device when I changed from Square to processing through my bank/Transfund. This has been the worst experience I have ever had with a credit card processor, including back in the dial up stone ages of processing. There have been constant issues of one type or another (inexplicable delays in transfers, account set for manual batch out only on a device that cannot do a manual batch, failure of the automatic batch with no notification or explanation). The customer service is pathetic, and most of the service reps are unintelligible. None of them can answer a question, and generally try to resort to completely illogical explanations or excuses. I do not even need any high level function from a POS, just reliable card processing, and they cannot even accomplish that. What a bunch of useless hacks. Do not do business with these d-bags. I have probably spent 10 hours on the phone over the first two weeks. I am supposed to be repairing cars for a living, not managing my account for Clover.

One of the worst POS system you can think about. In addition to their nasty customer service, the system lacks to basic features that any POS system should have. The way that they advertise their ability to track inventory is misleading and I would say completely lay. If you are using Clover to keep track of you inventory, you will lose time working with the tedious tasks that cost way more than you would loss someone was shoplifting you daily.
And you have to buy their tablet for around $1,500.00 or you need to be locked to 3 years contract that you can't get around it. and also you need to pay for external app in order to get any feature you may think about. Even the basic services that are built in with clover, are not free ; like creating coupon discount.
I don't recommend clover to any small bushiness owner.

Clover system are one of the worst POS systems you can buy. They promise lots of things and come through with none of it. The support on it is the poorest excuse of tech support and customer service I have ever seen. They have no problem leaving you down with no POS to run your business. If you want your business to fail by Clover.

I have had clover for 4 months. The company will boast a 1.7% fee on all transactions. What they will not tell you: their actual transaction rate is approximately 5% with all the hidden fees. The sales representative stated to me multiple times that the 鈥渙nly fee is the $14 a month service fee鈥? Go with any other company but them.

We have the full system in our small business. Clover POS is the perfect name for this system because it is a "piece of s***". The device messes up on a daily basis. And if you call the technical support number that they have listed on the main screen of your register…..well, that's a joke! The person who answers always says they can't help and need to transfer you. I'm still trying to figure out why they even have the number listed because it is useless for technical support. Awful customer service. Inventory does not stay updated correctly . Nothing good about it. Save your money and go elsewhere. You will also save yourself a headache.

Incompetency, that about sums it up. The machine went down on a Friday and I'm still waiting for a new "updated" one, its now Tuesday morning. Its been over 4 days of having to punch in credit card numbers and ask regular, paying customers to pay cash. The money lost over this past weekend is unacceptable but so is everything about this pile of sh** company.

Clover is hands down the worst point of sale system I have ever seen. They promise it works great, it is a complete lie. No security features to prevent your business from theft. Customer service is non existent. Do not buy into clover you will regret it.

Complete scam! I had a similar experience as other businesses posting on this site. They will lock you into a 4-year lease and charge you thousands of dollars. The government needs to shut them down immediately.

Clover is work together with red payments and First Data (First Data Global Leasing) as team scammers totally illegal company. They always send their stuff to retail store to trick small business owner said only $65/m for all kinds credit card or debit card processing fees no other hidden fees and includes free clover equipment and make us sign a 5 years contract. When We start to use their clover machine then FDGL start charge us for $70/M until the leasing ending plus all kinds hidden fees and still charged every credit card and debit card processing. We been told we can鈥檛 return the clover mini until we paid off $4200 .if We stopped use their service and Red payments start withdraw $495 from our bank acount and FDGL continue to charge us for $70/m for leasing fee. FDGL said we have to pay off the 5 years leasing fees before return the clover . the clover min only worth $200-$285 base on amazon. but we have to pay $4200 for the same machine. I already reported them to government as scammers and they said will going to investigate both of them and I hope government really can shutdown their business so they wont hurting any more business.

They are super lair, just will try to sell the machine Or deceive the customer to rent the car after the contract they are neither pay on time nor be liable , no support, very bad service, unfortunately our experience with this merchant service is horrible , please avoid to get this merchant service forever

I started using them for my shopify account and they took all my money but some. I have 2100 on reserve and I am so upset. I am seeking a lawyer because these people are scammers! I am so mad right now I literally do not know what to do anymore.

Bought and paid the machine in full after a little while stop working had to take payments offline lost money customer service sucks and they never help to fix the machine SAVE MONEY NOT FOR PEOPLE WITH WEAK HEART DON'T TOUCH THIS CRAP

I loved Clover until I realized there are two big problems
#1 They have some computer glitch which may charge multiple sales taxes all to the same customer. There is no way to refund the extra sales taxes charges only and there is no way to refund the entire charge and rerun the card for the correct amount without contacting the client.
#2 It is difficult to reach an agent when there is a technical problem and difficult to find a solution once you reach an agent

There are hidden fees with this company, and when attempting to cancel my account (in my 60 days cancel window), the representative that I worked with GHOSTED me.

This has been some of the worse customer service I have ever received.

I noticed some 5 fraudulant charges on my credit card yesterday. I called my bank and closed my card but then decided to call the 5 companies that accepted a stolen card number ( still have my card, just the numbers were stolen) One of the places told me the card was used as a credit card, The number was entered manually (either taken over phone or punched in at store) when I asked why the did not check ID, I was told no name was on the card, the card just said Clover.com

I tried calling Clover but there is no phone number you can reach them though unless you own one of their machines. I emailed them but no response yet. I think they are involved with the scam of making fake card or allowing fake cards to be made.

Clover Seems like a trust worthy company but in fact that are not!! They use some shady 3rd party leasing company that completly rips you off, is impossible to get a hold of and wont let you return equipment. NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY !!!!

I tried reaching out on messenger about some features I鈥檇 like to clear up before switching from square to clover and they only reply to the questions they want to answer! Now they aren鈥檛 even replying so I decided to go google search and review it myself. Glad I didn鈥檛 switch from square to clover.
