We are new to Clickstay. As an owner with a villa in Portugal we have a current issue with this company in respect of their communication and working practices during COVID- 19. They are refusing to release money due to us as the owners !!! we won't deal with this company again and plan to complain to the relevant authorities about their practice

STEER CLEARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR !!!!! , never book with these cowboys,

As with all others wont accommodate return of deposit for house villa booking
THEY ARE USELESS.instead trying to offer a new date.

WILL NOT RETURN DEPOSIT DURING COVID-19 AND I CANT FLY OUT to my accommodation.

Save your money and book with book.com where a cancellation policy is offered you have been warned about these people.

" here is the answer I get from them all the time "

Thank you for your email. Unfortunately our terms stand the same. We are not able to offer a refund on the booking. We can explore a possible move of dates but we are not able to refund the booking.

PROFITEERING DURING THE COVID-19 EPIDEMIC 2020.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO BOOK YOUR HOLIDAY ACCOMMODATION.

Clickstay Ltd are refusing to return booking fees, commissions and damage waiver insurance costs for all properties booked during the Covid-19 epidemic.

We have used Clickstay Ltd since 2009 to advertise our villa in Spain and had over 150 bookings through Clickstay Ltd. Up until this epidemic they have been excellent with us and our guests. All the other portals we use to advertise our property have been excellent by returning in full all our guests monies during the epidemic without any fuss. Their present attitude is blatant profiteering and causing major worries for our clients in these testing times.

Very disappointed in this uncertain times with COVID-19 that cancellations weren鈥檛 looked at more sympathetically. We couldn鈥檛 go to Tenerife last Saturday because of the lockdown and cancelled flights. We had a very short email saying sorry but no refunds, no chance to move the holiday. Certainly won鈥檛 book with Clickstay again.

My future sister-in-law and family had booked a villa through Clickstay, all seemed great, until Coronavirus struck. As flights have all been halted for the time being and as it stands on Cyprus at the moment if they managed to get there, they would have to go into isolation at a government run facility for two weeks!
Therefore she rang Clickstay to see where she stood on a refund as was told the following:-
If she cancels, she will loose 拢208
If the property owner cancels they are liable to lose money (their commission)

If she does nothing then obviously she will loose all her money.
Seems very unfair on both parties as neither is at fault. Shame Clickstay do not use the same policy as Homeaway for example.
Renter鈥檚 and Owners please be aware of Clickstay鈥檚 terms and conditions

I am in Clickstay/Villarenters -as owner of WWW.VILLASEASICILY COM – since more than 10 years and can say that it works perfectly. I have had excellent guests and never have had any complaints from them. My guests came from all over the world, they left my villa in perfect order and happy to have spent the holidays in my property. Payments were also made regularly and without delay. My experience confirms that this site is a guarantee of success for both guests and owners.

This company acts as agent to individual property owners. Website easy to use. Found the villa I liked in Florida. It had an early bird discount (bonus) so paid a deposit. Could log on to their website at any time and view details (to remind me when I had to pay the balance by). They passed the information of owner's contact to me in plenty of time for me to ask a few questions prior to staying. Deposit for breakages was returned as detailed in their terms & conditions. When contacted by email, they replied promptly. Basically a first class service and would not hesitate to recommend.

Avoid booking a Tenerife rental through Clickstay as their agent Jon Stewart of Tenerife Holiday Homes is one of the most unprofessional people we have ever come across. We booked and paid in full within days (not a requirement) and on arrival on the Friday night, found we were double booked with his office closed until Monday The "emergency" contact number took 5 attempts before she answered which put us into a state of fear wondering where we would source accommodation late on a Friday evening in July. All further communication from Monday onwards was instigated by us via email as no-one from the agency attempted to meet with us. We were eventually offered compensation of 拢50 with the proviso that we didn't post any negative reviews! Their UK branch of Clickstay washed their hands of the complaint as we didn't contact them within 24hrs however we were under the impression we were dealing with the organisation who took our money up front. Shocking unprofessional service and an organisation to be avoided at all costs.

Clickstay / Agni Travel Con Merchants

Shocking experience and we're not even there yet..
Booked a villa in February this year, and asked for a late check out of 4.30pm (late huh!) I asked for a cost, but to try and help, I paid the holiday in full at the time of booking.
Cost $4100 euros.
5 months later, I received an email from an outfit called Agni Travel. They say they are the property managers for clickstay. They have a gmail email address. Very dodgy. They said I hadn't paid.
They also said the cost of the villa was 3500 euros!
They deny all knowledge of late check out, and want 150 euros to stay until 4.30pm.
Several emails and 2 phone calls and they acknowledge payment of 4100 euros, but still want 150 euros for the late check out.
They say I should speak to click pay. They said details were on the booking form that I had to contact owners about late check out, yet there is nothing to say who the owners are. There is a box for additional requirements that I did fill in, but this was ignored for 5 months. Here we are 2 days before the holiday and stuffed.
Scam merchants. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour.

I booked a holiday villa in Florida with this company and upon our arrival it was an absolute nightmare.
I will not go through the long winded review I gave via the owners villa website – but this company are simply trying to wash their hands of the complaint by saying my "Contract" is direct with the owner.
As far as I am concerned I paid my money over to Clickstay and as such they have legal obligations to ensure that people who advertise these wonderful villas on there site are actually as advertised.
We ended up on a 21 night holiday in Florida with an array of faults including;
No phone for over 2 weeks, no Internet, no TV's for 5 days, Dirty Grubby Carpets, damaged Pool Netting allowing all sorts in to the area.
Faulty security locks, no batteries in smoke alarms, no lights in rooms, filthy dirty Barbeque, filthy dirty stains in lounge area, stains on the furniture, damaged Fridge, faulty ceiling Fan, faulty Kettle, faulty toaster, dangerous microwave, no DVD`S, no x-box games and faulty x-box, Leaking Patio doors and leaking Walls in the food cupboard and the worst one NO GAMES AT ALL USABLE IN THE GAMES ROOM. Damaged pool table (no pocket) and missing balls, Darts board but no darts, damaged Air Hockey Table useless.
We had 2 Autistic Grandchildren with us who had so much looked forward to this holiday that was totally ruined by "False Advertising" a so called magnificent 6 bed villa.
Steer clear of WINNIES RETREAT and the owners also own the property next door Aladdin's Retreat and other properties.
This complaint is on going as Clickstay could not get the owners to respond but I have taken my own steps against them.

First we got tricked by the host. The house we booked was apparently overbooked and the one we got was an awful replacement. Really dirty and sticky, with lots of cockroaches and hair and a pool you don't want to dip your toe in. The area was rather a dump than a neighborhood.
We later found out that the house we booked is rented out permanently and is not available at all. These hosts do the same trick with everybody.

Then we got tricked by villa renters. Our review doesn't show up.
For sure we wrote a bad review. These hosts do not deserve to have any more guests. But for some reason our review does not appear on the villarenters webpage. Only 2 very positive ones are visible and the house is booked throughout the next year.

You can't trust villarenters at all and your holidays can be a real nightmare!
