I purchased a canopy bed mid October with a scheduled delivery date of 11/18/20. They delivered part of the bed with no call before or after informing me of how the product is shipped/sold and being out of stock.

After reaching out a month later just to see what the heck is happening they told me with an attitude January 18th for something I purchased and paid in full.

I went to BBB and this company had the audacity to offer me some disgusted "Loaner" in their rebuttal.

Please do not purchase from this company and note items are sold partially literally like buying a sofa and have to wait for the cushions 3 months later….. terrible company and absolutely disgusted offering me " loaner".

Please research this companies review before purchasing from them..I assure you this is no exaggeration at all to bash a company

Bought a bedroom set and two pieces were damaged so someone came over to repair. They sprayed the headboard with lacquer paint in my house, which smelled so toxic and left a rough texture. Had to reorder chest of drawers. Eleven months later received it – damaged again – reordered and it was fine but the color didn鈥檛 match the rest of the set. Got a call that they do not guarantee color matching.

Mother purchased a couch earlier this month, they were providing free shipping (btw she had cataract surgery this past week). They delivered the couch today upside down, unassembled (have to attach legs) and left (btw the legs are inside the couch so you have to flip the couch to get to the legs). I called customer service to find out how they can expect a 90lb woman alone to flip a couch? Why didn鈥檛 the sales rep ask a few detailed questions to see if free shipping was the right choice, he was only concerned with making a sale. After two transfers, I spoke to Lanisha in the escalation dept that told me while the couch was still wrapped and I didn鈥檛 know it was upside down I should have returned it then as that was my one opportunity to do so but per policy, they do not take returns and if I need help need to pay out of pocket to do so….Lanisha also informed me since she signed the delivery waiver city furniture was covered ( I informed her of my moms cataract surgery and she just kept going on script). After my fourth escalation I got Aleah who offered a courtesy set up because 鈥淚 escalated it this far….鈥?I told her my handy man was already here and if they could pay his fee for service and she said that鈥檚 not something they could do. I asked her for her manager (who is Mandy) but was told I can鈥檛 speak with her as she doesn鈥檛 deal with escalations and that鈥檚 why they have an escalation team; regardless the outcome wouldn鈥檛 change. Also that her time is precious and if I have to go to social media to do so….. When I asked Aleah what she would do if this was her parent, she informed me that she would shop at a company with a better/more lenient policy. #cityfurniture #worstcustomerservice #donotshophere

I bought a brand-new house in Parkland Florida and did not bring any of my old furniture I wanted to completely furnish the new house with new furniture. I went to City Furniture and ordered items that my salesman told me were in stock when I paid for them. But then a couple of days later I was informed many of the items were on back order. I was given a date of when they would be in and on that date, I was then told that some of the items were damaged again and would be reordered and some did not even come in. I was given a new expected arrival date and once again told that some of the items were damaged again on the new date. The TV stand / cabinet I ordered for my family room was delivered damage several (5) times over 3 陆 month wait. Of the 6 pieces to the couches in my family room the recliner kept getting delayed / back ordered for 4 1/2 months. Every time they said it would be in, they called me to delay again. I only spent around $12,000 of my $70,000 budget at City Furniture. I finished furnishing my house with furniture from your competitors with no issues, honest delivery dates and far superior service. Also, City Furniture delivery people damaged my front doorway frame and weather seal, left dirty handprints on walls and furniture surfaces they touched. Stuff from the packaging material was left wherever they unpacked the items. I talked to managers and all I got from them were lies about what they could or would do for me. I finally cancel the balance of my order that never arrived. They would not take the furniture back even though you couldn鈥檛 deliver the whole set, so I had to settle on some damaged furniture that you set subcontractors out to try to repair. $12,000 worth of City furniture items with damage to 4 pieces and up to 4 陆 months to deliver. Your competitors almost $60,000 worth of furniture with only one piece with slight damage and it was properly fixed in two days. City Furniture $12,000 worth of furniture 4 陆 months to deliver. Your competitors 3 weeks to deliver $60,000 worth of furniture. City Furniture customer service takes up to 2 hours for someone to answer your call. If you leave your number they do not call back. All other furniture stores in south Florida answer their phone within 10 to 20 minutes. I would not buy anything from City Furniture ever again, even if they were the only place out there.

After posting my negative review, I received a comment from a member of the City Furniture Customer Service staff. She asked to review my order history, and within a few hours I had an email from her, apologizing and making a generous offer to compensate me for my inconvenience. It was more than I expected, and I was very pleased to see the level of Customer Service extended to me by the company. It was an unfortunate confluence of circumstances, but the fact that the company owned its mistake and offered compensation was a stand up move in my opinion. My bed arrived today, and I am very happy to report that all the pieces were on the truck!

I am truly disappointed with City Furniture this year. I felt in love with City Furniture in 1991. My entire home is from City Furniture. I advocated for CF from West Palm Beach to the Carolinas. However, this year they have taken a back seat of embarassment. I have encouraged several of my family members to take stock in CF. What a waste of time!!! My brother placed his order in August. They told him it will arrive by the end of the month. Well we are in November and it still has not arrive. He had to call them because no one called to informed him of the delay. Another case, my daughter purchased a bedroom set for her apartment. She was so excited and couldn't wait for the arrival of her furniture that she selected herself. They dropped her bedroom set off in front of the apartment. She reside on the 3rd floor. No manual for assemble. She called and was pushed around. No one knew why there were no manual. Screws were missing, some of the holes where not lining up, and customer service was very poorly concerning. Finally, I too bought a small unit from CF. I could have taken it with me the day I purchased it but that unit was damaged and it was the only one. So it was scheduled to be delivered for the weekend. It was scheduled for September 10th. I called and talked with two managers. On both occasions, they assured me that they will return my call. I have not heard from neither one. Not even my sales associate. I am no longer shopping at Cf nor will I campaign for them. I am done,. PUT A FORK IN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ordered outdoors decorative pillows on Sept 06/2020 for our patio. They did a partial delivery on 09/11/2020. Among the pillows they made a mistake and delivered us two bed pillows instead of the decorative. Understand these things happen, I held to them and put in a claim to have them exchanged for the correct product. I called customer service and after 1 hr on the phone, they basically told me to go put the claim online. I did.

For the second delivery, I had to call them to schedule, they really don't reach out to schedule, but fine, I did, rescheduled for Nov 1st, they were going to bring the remaining pillows and the exchanged ones.

Long story short, they showed up today with more bed pillows. At this point I didn't accept them, I also gave them the other ones and asked for a refund to my card. The system can't do this, they don't have any of these automated, thats ok I guess, so I called them. It took me 1:26 minutes on the phone with various people, and guess what? No refund. They can't track the driver, their system doesn't show I return them.

Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else to shop for house, unless you have copious time to spend on the phone with these clowns.

terrible my experience I went about 4 month for my dining table and then canceled the purchase because they never called me that it would not arrive…. I bought a cabinet for the tv and it came all scratched.

Let me preface this by saying I ordered a couch from here a month prior to this and everything was great, love the couch and had no issues.

I decided to order two matching pillows so I went to the showroom I ordered my couch from and ordered them. Two different pillows arrived a week later so I called customer service and they told me to bring them to the store and that the correct ones would be there. They sent me the wrong ones so I would have expected they would ship me the new ones.

I tried calling a few days later to ensure the correct pillows would be there and I was on hold forever and the guy told me he couldn鈥檛 get a hold of the store but they would be there. So I go to the store for them to tell me they can鈥檛 accept the wrong pillows and asked me to take them elsewhere. THEY SEND ME THE WRONG PILLOWS AND EXPECT ME TO DRIVE TO A SECOND STORE NO WHERE NEARBY. My pillows are not there and then I waited at the store for 45 min for them to not be able to get ahold of customer service.

I just called customer service again and they ask me to go back to the store which is ridiculous. They also told me I would need to pick them up because my original order was a pick up (it was not, It was delivered to me). They tell me the invoice was wrong and that鈥檚 why I need to do that. HOW IS THAT MY FAULT THAT THE INVOICE WAS WRONG?

Finally after a 35 min call going back and forth they are going to send me the pillows which are back ordered and I have to wait weeks for them. I will also need to be there to give the wrong ones back. So they expect me to arrange my schedule to be home for 2 pillows to be delivered when I tried to return them to a store. I asked for a shipping label to return them and they said they can鈥檛.

Worst customer service experience of my life. Cant believe that instead of just sending me the correct order since they messed up it came down to this. I don鈥檛 think I will ever order from here again or encourage anyone else to after this.

I ordered a Table in August just getting it yesterday. It came damaged. As so AS the other two items I've ordered. Not only I can't get my table until Nov I requested the table be put together by the delivery person that was not a previous request, but to be accommodated I thought they would grant it well they wouldn't. I want ever buy anything else from them or recommend them AT ALL!!!!

I bought a dining room table and 4 chairs the table is very low when i sit around it my legs are touching the table this happen also with my 5 year old grand baby. I asked them to give me a higher base for the table or take it back and they're giving me the run around $2000.00 and I cannot use this table.

Terrible. Was supposed to have my couch delivered yesterday with my coffee tables and my love seat to be delivered in a month… when they arrived, there was no couch and I鈥檓 now told I won鈥檛 have my couch for a month and my loveseat won鈥檛 be here for 2 months. We specifically choose the couch we did based off of delivery dates and I sold my entire living room set over the weekend to make room and now we have no where to sit… I called and complained and went to management and they said there鈥檚 nothing to do and they offered absolutely no help or specials for THEIR mistake, not mine. I emailed my actual sales rep over 24 hours ago and also haven鈥檛 heard back. Debating canceling my entire order because they honestly don鈥檛 deserve my money.

We purchased an entertainment center on June 10th of this year scheduled a delivery for July 10th. When the product was delivered only half of it arrived, at which point we called City Furniture to find out that the other pieces of the unit that held it together would not be available until September. We scheduled the delivery date in September, I called then yesterday to confirm that the scheduled delivery date was on track at which time they told me it would be October 24th before it was available. When I asked if there could be any compensation for this expanded delay and lack of communication they said no even though they had given my brother-in-law who had ordered the same entertainment center $150 off the cost of the entertainment center and got him the order within two weeks (he ordered after us). The quality of the furniture is okay not great, but the lack of communication when they have delivery problems and unequal treatment of customers is truly unacceptable.

In store service was excellent but cystomer care is horrid after. Quality is less than expected for price. Had a few issues with quality of assembly which was fixed 3脳. Dining room table warped and the base was clearly damaged and repaired at assembly. They are replacing base but will not replace table top. They have lost a customer for life and I am telling EVERYONE. VERY UNHAPPY.

Do you ACTUALLY EXPECT YOUR FURNITURE ON THE DAY YOU ORDERED IT? oh silly child, this is City Furniture in Ocoee, Florida. We don't care what actual date you wanted your furniture. We'll deliver 3 weeks late. OR if you don't like that (because you sold your old couch), you can choose another couch, one of the only ones we have in stock so it'll still be 3 days late, AND you get to pay $200 MORE for the privilege.

Horrible horrible customer service. Placed an online order at 11pm at night for a $320+ rug only for it to go on sale the following day. I was certain they鈥檇 be gracious enough to reimburse me the difference. Rug arrived looking as if it were a return- dirty and with pulls all over it. I emailed customer service twice over 3 days and never was responded to. I then called and waited on hold for 25 min only to be promised I鈥檇 be called back later that day. No one ever called. Emailed again , got nothing. Called again and hung up after waiting 30 min on hold. Someone finally contacted me days later to basically do absolutely nothing. No decent explanation, no reimbursement for the sale price difference which I missed by only hours, no new undamaged rug. Unbelievable. Unreal. I would never think such a big company that鈥檚 been around for so long could be so horrible for doing what鈥檚 right by the customer. I feel completely cheated like I got taken for a ride. Never again.

Paid for premium Delivery and they dumped it at the door and said they would be back in 15 min to carry it up stairs. That was 8 hours ago and about 9 calls to customer service.

Worst ever!!!!! So pissed off. It arrived at 9:30am and now it is 6pm and the sofa is still at the bottom of the stairs and I cannot get it up. I paid $79.99 for them to carry it up.

My recent purchase was for a Dark Grey (Reese) Medium sleeper sofa. Charvette Williams was my Sales Rep. She provided me with World Class Service and such Professionalism. I can't imagine shopping any place else except for City Furniture in Tamarac!! Don't forget to ask for Charvette Williams – you won't be sorry!!

I am writing this post to plead with everyone in Florida to not use City Furniture. Their customer service is horrible and they do not stand behind their products. I bought a set of six wooden dining chairs, with additional warranty, and i had 3 of them break with cracked legs. They made me wait 6 months for repair and then finally exchanged the chair. The exact same thing happened again to 2 of the chairs, and they again told me to wait another 4 or 5 months for the part to fix the problem. I only asked for an exchange, from different manufacturer of equal value, and they refused. If you value your hard earned money, don't buy anything from City Furniture

We ordered a platform bed from them at a good price. They delivered it, but none of the hardware was in the box. It had an empty bag instead. So I called. They said they'd ship it and it would be here in 3-5 days. A week later, no hardware, so I called customer service. She explained to me "it didn't work". I asked "what didn't work"? She claimed they ordered it to be shipped but they must not have had it. So she told me that it wouldn't be in stock for 6-8 weeks. I asked if I could trade for another bed that was just slightly higher since I had to go through this inconvenience. In a very rude tone, she said "not unless you pay for it". I asked to be escalated and the supervisor was just as rude and unaccomodating. She told me they would escalate to the next level and I would hear back within 24 hours. A week later and nothing. I went in and talked to my sales rep who told me my best bet was to call CS and swap for the same bed so I tried that. Now it's supposed to be delivered on 6/8. I don't have a lot of hope in this delivery because it doesn't stop here.

The day after we ordered the bed, we also ordered a very nice sectional from them. They delivered it today. It was sent configured incorrectly. It had 2 right recliners and no left recliner. The delivery man, very nice gentleman, got on the line with customer service and she said they didn't have that in stock until July (over a month out). I explained what just happened with the bed and asked if they're willing, on this one, to extend something to me for my inconvenience. Another rude reply "not unless you pay for it". I sent it back. Even with that she was rude saying I wouldn't receive my money back until it cleared the warehouse.

Our sales person in the store was wonderful, our delivery men were great. Every single person in Customer Service I spoke to was rude and mean. Because of they're "the customer doesn't matter" policy in CS, I will NEVER, seriously, NEVER do business with City Furniture again.

I strongly encourage people to stay away from this organization…. actually it鈥檚 the epitome of disorganization. We purchased a bed and it took five deliveries for them to fulfill the order. Then they offer a pathetic $100 in compensation . No coordination between their sales, customer service and technicians. They refused to put us through to the CEO to file a complaint. I鈥檇 advise all to stay WELL clear of this company.
