Car was totaled and still owed 3k after insurance adjustment, this is the beginning of the 2020 covid outbreak. I begged for some type of brief pause in the payment schedule as I own a restaurant and was forced to close down do to covid, begged for a payment deferral, whatever they could do to help me. They refused to assist me with any requests. After trying my best to keep up with payments I ultimately fell behind. Over the past months I've worked hard to save up enough money to just clear out the entire debt($2,700) I requested that they please remove the $45 in late fees prior to me paying them off and they absolutely refuse. I've paid out over 20k to these crooks for 4 years and the simplest of requests in the toughest of times was not granted. Please for the love of God don't do business with these pieces of trash.

Recently purchased a new vehicle from a local dealer. Credit score was great. My income (based on last year's return so it's outdated) is average/low. Well apparently CC decided to throw a fit and step in it over my income (apparently I went over some magic number when I accepted a warranty deal that I stupidly let the sales rep talk me into).

They proceed to fight with my sales rep over actually financing the vehicle even though I've already signed the contract and I have the car. This goes on for nearly a month. I finally get a call from CC merely asking me to "call back". No reason for the call is given so I assumed it had something to do with the run around my sales rep was getting. I call back within ten minutes. Somehow they are "closed" and I'm told to "call back when we are open" with NO TIME mentioned on the recording so who knows when that even is (it was in the morning so it's not like I called after closing time–apparently they only take calls when they feel like it).

When I called around noon the next day I get a hold of this lady who sounded like she had cotton balls in her mouth. Apparently I needed to do a "customer interview" so I had to scramble to find payment info and stuff because they hadn't bothered to warn me that was what the call was about.

Now I get on my account and find that they added a mysterious $3,000 to the amount I supposedly financed in the first place.

This entire experience is turning me off from ever buying another FCA product. This is INSANE. I've never gotten the run around like this when buying a vehicle. And it's unfortunate because my experience at the dealership was fine.

Fiat dealerships do not accept vehicle returns in my area and Chrysler Capital keeps reporting me late to the credit bureaus for $1 in payment.

5/23 My Fiat lease was up and my last payment was due 4/23. Chrysler Capital cancelled my last ACH on 4/24. The payment should have gone through as normal. The company has called me countless times over the past few months to extend my lease, buy the vehicle and purchase a new vehicle. Not once did they mention the cancellation of my last ACH payment or that I was past due.

I have tried numerous times to return this vehicle to the Fiat Dealership at 5135 Convoy St, San Diego, CA 92111. This is located 6.3 miles from my home, or 12.6 miles round trip. The next closest dealership is located at 5555 Car Country Dr, Carlsbad, CA 92008. This is located 28.7 miles from my home, or 57.4 miles round trip. Fiat's max range is estimated at 84 miles on a single charge. I have never in my years of leasing this vehicle attempted to drive it up and back to Carlsbad. It is risky during the pandemic that we are experiencing to be travelling that far away from home with a possibility of running out of charge.

My lease is up and during this pandemic I have been unable to return my car. I am essentially storing this vehicle free of charge for Chrysler Capital.

They have consistently reported me 30 days late for May, June and July. Now I am showing $1 past due for July. This is ruining my credit. I have no other derogatory marks and this has impacted my score, as well as caused other cards to be closed.

My FICO has dropped nearly 100 points, Discover Bank lowered my credit limit from $9800 to $500, Bank of America closed my account which had a $0 balance and $6,000 credit line. All for a payment of less than $120 that would not have been late if they did not cancel my ACH.

After receiving all these negative repercussions to the cancellation of my ACH, I paid what I was told was a final payment on 6/12 $223.88.

I pulled my credit and disputed the charges with Experian. On July 10th I received notice back from Experian that my Dispute was declined and that I am still late $1. I have been reported 30 days late for May, June, July and am currently showing $1 late. When I log into Chrysler Capital, it shows I am due for $111.75 for 7/23 payment.

On July 11th, I Called Chrysler Capital – They said there is nothing showing due on my credit. I spoke with Customer Service Rep ID 998583. I explained the credit reports are showing a late payment of $1 for May June and July. She said there is nothing due. I explained that I logged in and it is showing $111.75 due for 7/23. The best they can do is "send it in for review" and I am on a waiting list for someone to pick up the vehicle.

On 7/23 I was contacted by the Chrysler Tow team who assumed my vehicle was being repossessed. It is not, but they set a time from 12-3 on Saturday to pick up the vehicle. It is now 3:18 and my husband and I have been sitting here waiting with no contact from the company. This is a never ending nightmare.

Online it is still reporting me past due – in August I am anticipating a 4th 30 day late. It is very disappointing and sad to see the treatment of this major company to people during the pandemic.

Completely useless. Never, ever lease with these people. Car leased and delivered on June 15th. First payment due July 15th. No bill came. Took multiple calls and hours on hold the last two weeks to even get the account created, which they finally did — on July 14th. Payment due the next day. Warned of potential late charge. They refused to extend the due date a few days to allow time for the payment to be processed. Literally, statement date July 14, due date July 15. Customer service agent and supervisor were both useless. Ridiculous.

Very upset with Chrysler Capitol. I purchased a new truck under a lease program. Long story/short they dropped the ball on my auto draft and called me to inform me I was behind on payments. They refused to waive any late fees and when provided with the amount to bring the account current it was over $600.00 different then what we discussed. They will not work with you at all and have poor customer service. My next company vehicle will not come from this rip off company.

So, here I am writing a review during the health epidemic our country is currently facing with the COVID 19 virus about Chrysler Financial and it is not a good one. I've seen a representative from the company actually visit this page and read reviews so I'm hoping my reveiw will be read.
Tomorrow I will be sending a 3rd letter to their offices to remove not only a 30 day late payment on my account in February 2020, but now for a 60 day late as well as. I was advised by a customer service rep at thier company to have this issue investigated by Transunion as she did not understand why this was being reported to the bureau's as well. I received an email from transunion advising the issue was "resolved" by putting a 60 day late on my credit report in addition to the 30 day late remaining!!!! This is a second BOMB to my report. I have owned 1 vehicle (dodge stratus), and leased another (BMW) and have NEVER been 30/60/90 days late on one payment literally in the last 15 years of my car history or credit card history on my credit report. During the entire 6 year term of my loan on my Jeep Grand Cherokee I was never 30 days late. But someone how, when it came to my last payment received on my loan which covered a balance of 19 cents remaining, although 2 payments were received the same month the 19 cents was due against the loan and another payment received the following month..ON TIME… payments are being reported 30 days late for February 2020 payment and now 60 days for a March. My account shows closed and paid in full in April with no payments recieved in April so I'm not sure how March could possibly be 60 days late and February 30 days late, when again 2 payments were received in February and 1 in March.

The first correspondence I wrote to Chrysler I explained to them how disheartening it was when I received notification from the bureau's that they were reporting a 30 day late for my account. I simply received documentation from them stating the information they reported is accurate. My second letter I submitted I am requesting a detailed statement of my payments with the company basically outing thier reporting are accurate as what they are reporting is truly inaccurate.

At this point I'm simply perplexed how my credit is being destroyed for inaccurate information. My credit is very important to me and I will continue to submit documentation to the company until this issue is rectified.

They are the worst finance company. They're system as they call it send letters, collections harass you and refuse proof, but for 4 months they have been calling and sending letters of collections and all payments are up to date. They state it's the system and not to worry. Do not use this company!!!!

How horrible in such a terrible time for everyone. They do offer a deferral of your payment but against the administrations orders to hold interest and penalties, they are still charging you throughout the deferral all interest and "it will change the remainder of your loan"

I purchased my Journey in 10/2013 and it should have been paid off 10/2019. I pushed back 8 payments over the period of my contract and as of now they wanted me to pay $12,567 more to keep my vehicle .I already paid $30,000 on it. So today they picked it up. They are the worse company to finance a vehicle through and they do not care about the customers at all.

****UPDATE****
SO AFTER SPEAKING TO JASON, ERIC ,AMANDA AND DID NOT BOTHER TO GET THE LAST REPS NAME I WAS AGAIN TURNED DOWN FOR ANY HELP AT ALL, I HAVE READ SEVERAL REVIEWS , AND HAVE COME TO THE CONCULSION THAT REGARDLESS OF ANY LIFE CHANGING CIRCUMSTANCES, THEY ARE UNWILLING TO HELP YOU. REGARDLESS , SO THEY PLACE YOU IN A POSTION TO PURPOSELY FALL BEHIND. MIND YOU I HAVE MADE EVERY SINGLE CAR PAYMENT IN FULL AND ON TIME, however AFTER BEING OFF WORK AFTER MY FATHERS UNEXPECTED DEATH IN NOVEMBER, AND MY MOTHERS PASSING IN AUGUST, I HAVE BEEN OFF WORK AND WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MAKE MY PAYMENT FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER, THEY DO NOT CARE PERIOD. I WAS TAUGHT TO WORK THINGS OUT OUT WITH THE PEOPLE YOU OWE MONEY TO, ITS BETTER TO TALK THEN LET IT GO . HOWEVER WITH CHRYSLER CAPITOL I'VE HIT A BRICK WALL. NOTHING IN MY REVIEWS ARE " TRUMPED UP" OR FABRICATED . I SPEAK NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH . I HAVE SPOKE TO 5 DIFFERENT REPS IN THE EXECUTIVE OFFICE , THEY SIMPLY DO MOT CARE , BUT WILL MOST LIKELY THREATEN ME WITH REPO AFTER MISSING MY FIRST PAYMENT EVER. BUT AT LEAST I TRY'D TO DO THE RIGHT THING. GOOD LUCK TO THE REST OF YOU READING MY REVIEW. I AM CERTIN THAT SHORTLY AFTER MY PAYMENT IS NOT RECIEVED FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER THEY WILL BE CALLING AND ASKING FOR IT. THEY WILL JUST NEED TO REFER BACK TO THEIR OWN NOTES, AS I HAVE TRY'D TO DO THE RIGHT THING WHEN CLEARLY KNOWING WELL IN ADVANCE .

Horrible company! This is basically a dinosaur financial with no current technology or customer service. STAY AWAY. I had my account on autopay and was charged different amounts as they pleased without any notice, and got hit with late fees; eventually when I found out customer service answered with some weird company name that said they couldn't do anything. Don't ruin your credit without any fault of your own; Ally was a much better company and worth the extra couple of dollars a month

If I could leave less than 1 Star, I absolutely would. My parents have an account here. They went through a financial hardship & instead of this company asking how they could help resolve this issue, they were demanding money. So my parents gave me authorization to speak on the account, so I could call in & see what options they have.

Day 1: I had a conversation with a representative. She was extremely rude. I advised her of the issues & instead of trying to resolve the issue of why I was frustrated with this garbage of a company, she went into defense mode & stated this is why sometimes programs aren鈥檛 offered because it isn鈥檛 what is best for the customer. I told her sometimes what is best for the customer is not for her to decide & all options should be given up front & explained (which this company has no idea how to do by the way, not even their managers). They need new training material or something. Anyway, I advised this representative that sometimes when a customer goes through a financial hardship, coming up with all the money up front isn鈥檛 an option, that is why these programs are created. Yes, it might add some additional interest, but DOES THE COMPANY WANT TO TAKE A LOSS OR RESOLVE AN ISSUE TO HELP A CUSTOMER? If I was the CEO of this company, I most definitely wouldn鈥檛 want a loss. Chrysler Capital doesn鈥檛 care about their customers. The representative said we could call back same day & request to transfer to the assistance team, the borrowers (my parents) have to be on the line. So when my step-dad called back in, they said for him to call the next day. So, we actually couldn鈥檛 be helped the same day. This company is ridiculous.

Day 2: We called in on a 3-way call, the representative was asking all the same questions that should have been documented yesterday. She stated there was no call yesterday. I advised her, I made a call yesterday & these questions you are asking were already answered. So, I told her, your company is incompetent & please advise me when you actually put it in the notes this time. She said you don鈥檛 have to be that way, it is in the notes now. I said all you all have done is NOT DO YOUR JOB, so excuse me for being frustrated & double checking your work, plus I don鈥檛 like how my parents account has been handled up to this point. So finally, we eventually got to the assistance team, & BOY THAT WASN鈥橳 ANY BETTER! The representative sounded so enthusiastic on the phone to do his job, let me tell you. (I鈥橫 BEING SARCASTIC BY THE WAY). So, what they do on this side is ask questions to see 鈥淚F YOU CAN QUALIFY鈥?for the assistance because not all people do & they decide that. Well, I began asking questions on the programs, how do you determine who qualifies & who doesn鈥檛? The representative (TIM) states the account will have to be opened for 12 months. I advised him I have never heard of such a thing in my life to be able to use financial assistance. He then stated, it鈥檚 policy. So, I said before you said it is customer versus customer basis, & when I began asking questions about your policy, now you are telling me, it has to be open for 12 months. (To kind of tell you where I am going with this, it wouldn鈥檛 be customer by customer basis, where they make the decisions who gets the assistance & who doesn鈥檛, if it states 12 months in the policy, BECAUSE TECHNICALLY IF THEY WERE PROVIDING ASSISTANCE TO SOMEONE WITH A LOAN LESS THAN 12 MONTHS BECAUSE THEY DECIDED WHO GOT THAT ASSISTANCE, THEY ARE BREAKING THEIR OWN POLICY). Tim, the representative stated he didn鈥檛 understand my question. I replied, I think you do, you just do not know how to answer my question, so please go get me a manager. Tim, came back on the phone (without a manager) by the way. He simply couldn鈥檛 even do a simple task as to get a manager. MY GOODNESS, WHO HIRES THESE PEOPLE?! Anyway, he said the manager is saying the same thing, I advised him I heard everything you said, BUT APPARENTLY YOU WERE NOT LISTENING TO ME. The point to getting a manager is for him to answer my question that you couldn鈥檛, so please go get him. He said ok, one moment. I said, finally thank you. The manager got on the phone & his name was (Chadwick) I asked him the same question. I said your representative stated first that to qualify it is customer versus customer basis, than when I began asking how do you determine who qualifies, he (TIM) responded with the account will have to be opened for 12 months. The manager advised me the 12 months was misinformed information. So, now we get to it, of why the representative (TIM) couldn鈥檛 answer my question. HE GAVE ME THE INCORRECT INFORMATION. He can鈥檛 do his job, provides horrible customer service, & also can鈥檛 provide a simple task as to getting a manager. I鈥檓 going to see if my parents would like to report this company to the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. If anybody is smart, do not lease or finance with this company. They will not help you in a time of need. They only care about getting their money OR not. I鈥檓 not sure. Because they don鈥檛 try and help you, so I鈥檓 sure this company takes many losses.

Absolutely terrible company! I had a loan on a car through their company. Their interest rate was very high! 17.5%!! But we accepted because we e didn鈥檛 have any other options at the time. We made our payments on time or early every month. We went to trade in our car for something new and requested a loan through them. They offered us an even HIGHER interest rate of 19.5%!! After being with the for several years and making all payments on time… it鈥檚 nice to know it was worth it! We declined their offer and looked around more and was offered a 5% interest rate elsewhere! This company is a joke!

Well, we have a loan through Chrysler capital and we fell behind on our payments because we were paying off our son's medical bills post bone marrow transplant (he was diagnosed with leukemia last year), which amounted to over $12,000.It was either pay that or pay for the car. My husband, who is a disabled veteran, has to work a 40 hrs a week job and is about to lose his social security disability to keep up with bills and rent and all that while I'm in Buffalo, NY taking care of our son while he recovers. They took my Durango. We had made a payment arrangement with Chrysler Capital to gradually pay off the months we missed, but lo and behold my surprise when I'm leaving the mall after buy said son a winter coat that repomen sent by Chrysler Capital are waiting outside for me in the cold to take my car–after the payment arrangement was made the same day! We called back and they said that "we don't know who you talked to but they must have lied to you. There's nothing we can do about the repo. They have to take your car. Call back on Monday and pay off one month and you can get your car back." Well, that one month turned into $4200 plus a $125 reinstatement fee. We don't have that kind of money and have 3 other children to take care of. They knew this but are not willing to work with us and it disgusts me that they claim to be willing to work with veterans and their families. I hope their happy with themselves. We only have 2 weeks to pay them or lose my car. I really do hope they see this.

I was surprised to see so many bad reviews. I have had an account with them for four years. About a year into the loan my daughter was born 2 months early. She had a long stay in the NICU. One phone call to them and they gave me a 3 month grace period! And they were so kind.Yes my interest is high but at the time my credit was bad. I was thankful to get a loan. Late charges are expected when you are late. It鈥檚 the same way with all my accounts such as credit cards, personal loans and phone bills. They are not a charity. They have to make money too.

Anyone else wanting to go in on a class action lawsuit for billing non-compliance? I am seeing a lot of the same complaints that I am having myself and as an attorney I would be happy to represent the case with no associated cost! This company has violated its agreement with its clients on various levels and with enough backing can be pursued.

How many individuals are not receiving bills until after the due date and being charged a late fee? An imperative audit needs to be conducted

Well-
Here I sit, After paying into a Car that is just under 4 years old, and being upside down at that, I have located the missing car from my driveway ,
it has been repossessed. I am not shocked, however, as it appears in thw real world, all the company cares about is making their $$$. I received a letter 2 days ago in the mail stating that I was in default- ( this has been no suprise, as I lost my career due to circumstances that I had no control over.)- Chrysler Capital has already collected the value of the car from me, and because they didn't get to have their cake and eat ir too, they have done what ALL CAR COMPANIES DO TO THE CONSUMER. They have kicked me when I was down. On top of that, I attempted to answer their calls over the past month, only to have the verified " recorded" phone call not.available for me to speak to anyone on the other end of the phone. They would hang up. Top it off, the letter i received stated that they had a program that could get me caught up with regard to my delinquency in payments. That too has proven to BE FALSE.
Here is the bottom line.
THE CONSUMER PAYS AND PAYS.
The crooks who defaulted on thousands of unwarranted home mortgages, in 2008, are driving us rright back into the demise of our economic future.
Pay with CASH. – That is the lesson that I have learned. Dont believe a word that anyone who has a charming smile, wearing a nice tie , and says that they will make " Miricles Happen"- when getting you into that vehicle at 4.9 % interest. Lies, Lies, Lies.

I wonder How much of my personal property- which happens to be all of my tools for a job that borrowed money to buy tools for, I obviously will not have after this day, It will be interesting to hear their policy on loss of personal property.

Be careful with these snakes. They got me once.
NEVER AGAIN !

Another Sucker taken to the slaughter.

Chrysler capital has been nice and patient with me. But now I'm frustrated and stressed my car was just repoed in the middle of the night. I'm pregnant have kids and now no transportation to get around. I have no way to make money now, the car was how I made money to pay all bills. Hoping that I can speak with someone soon. I don't know what else to do I have very little money right now

If you need anything from these people besides processing your payments to them, try your hardest to NOT get into a leasing/ financing deal with them. The customer service people give you no information. I have been leasing or financing Jeep's since 1998, and the last 3 for sure have been thru Chrysler Cap. Never again. I need them to mail the title to the NJ DMV to register the car in the State I moved too. Legally I am supposed to have this all done within 2 months. But it takes close to 30 days to get a bill to show proof of address. So I started this Title process as soon as I possible could, which was roughly 1 month after moving. I fax my title request form to Chrysler Cap on 7/8/2019. I called on 7/15/19 to get status, and was told it was sent overnight to the DMV. After a week plus of hearing nothing, I follow up again with Chrysler Cap today, and then I am told that they received it on 7/12/19, and they have up to 4 weeks to get the title back to DMV…. really 4 weeks? And this 4 weeks according to them starts on 7/15/19. So I fax it to them on 7/8, they do nothing with the request to 7/12, and first send it to the Title Vendor on 7/15 to convert it to a "paper" title…. Really convert it from digital to paper??? Isn't that just pressing "print" on your computer?? And lets not forget my first follow up phone call on 7/15 when the rep told me it was over nighted to the DMV, but really it was only over nighted to a title vendor a full week after I faxed my request to them. Then the 2 horrible reps today I spoke to, I will disregard the first one, but the 2nd person was a supposed Supervisor, and all she could tell me is that I have to wait, and there is NOTHING that can be done. Really??? Nothing?? And when I ask her if it ends up taking longer than 4 weeks, do they call anyone at that time, and she said no, you just have to wait. And she just kept repeating herself that you are gonna just have to wait more time. It can take up to 4 weeks, this after they took a week to do anything with my request. Does the 4 week clock start on 7/8?? Nope, it starts on 7/15 when they got off their @sses and decided to do something with my request they have for a week. So then doesnt it take up to 5 weeks then? How does a Customer Service Supervisor keep repeating you are gonna just have to wait longer? It is absolutely not OK to say that. They have to be able to follow up on these requests, and give a better answer then you are just gonna have to wait longer. Oh, did I mention, that this is a time sensitive process that needs to be completed within 2 months total from my move? They have no problem charging a late fee if they dont get their money when it is due… How would it work if I told them "You are gonna have to wait a bit longer to get my payment?", probably wouldnt end well for me, right? So how is it OK for a Customer Service Supervisor to tell me that, instead of picking up a phone, calling to the the title vendor, and getting a true answer for me, the very longtime paying on time customer??? The answer is—-> It is NOT OK.

And of course I have to believe what I am being told to me today is the truth, roughly a week after another Customer Service Rep tells me they all ready over nighted it to the NJ DMV?

Again, if you only will be dealing with this horrible Company to give them their money, and nothing more, then go ahead, you will be fine. But once the day comes for you to need anymore than that, Haha, dont say I didnt warn you. Avoid!!! Many different companies out there that lease & finance cars, and I know I will never deal with this horrible company after this lease is up. Never should a Customer Service Supervisor NEVER say the words there is nothing they can do…. That is Customer Service 101 !!!
