Bunky Boutique

What an amazing small business! I contacted Bunky Boutique via Instagram to arrange delivery of a care package to a family member who lives in Phoenix. Rachel replied right away, put together a thoughtful gift, and personally delivered it on the same day! I live in California so it was especially amazing that Bunky helped me out with this order from hundreds of miles away. As we navigate this pandemic and "shelter in place" life, these moments of human kindness and generosity are truly bright spots. Thank you Bunky Boutique! I can't wait to visit in person next time I'm in Phoenix

I am super happy about my first experience at Bunky! I came into the shop looking for a few small things for a birthday gift. There were many gift options and even some cute cards to pick from. I ended up loving the women's clothing selection and purchased a few things for myself. The store was clean, bright, and organized. Service was friendly and helpful. I love supporting and shopping local when I can. Bunky will definitely be a regular spot for me. Thank you for an awesome shopping experience!

If you'd like greeting cards, jewelry, and artwork made by local artists, then you must stop by.

I've purchased a bunch of lovely items here for friends' birthdays as well as for myself, such as quirky birthday cards, desert Christmas ornaments, desert animal earrings (snake and scorpions), and some desert art. They also have clothing, and baby items.

Rachel the owner is wonderful, one day in her shop I mentioned I was looking for animal jewelry and months later she noticed me in the coffee shop right next door and came and told me she received some Arizona wildlife handmade jewelry from an Arizona artist, Suzy Kormanik Schwanz. There were quails, snakes, and scorpions. So sweet! Now that's excellent customer service.

If you're worried about parking, park behind the shop, enter the alley between 1st St and 2nd St, you'll see a giant mural, park in that lot.

Love supporting local shops like this and need a cute card or gift? Then get your butt in here!

I love this store for handcrafted gifts. The jewelry selection features local artists and new items are added frequently, guaranteeing that you will find something unique. It is also a great place for greeting cards and fun, casual clothing. Every time I go to get a gift I end up with something for myself!

Bunky is also a great spot for Arizona themed items that are not touristy, so bring your out of town friends here for take home presents

Such a cute boutique!!! I have enjoyed shopping here for years. Perfect options for gifts and treat-myself goodies. I recently had a very positive experience ordering online. Very speedy turn around for a hat for my husband. Great style, quality, and value and so happy to support a local woman owned business.

Cute little local shop. I love the unique high quality selection of clothing. Sometimes it is nice to shop small.

Bunky is my go-to whenever I need a unique gift and card. I love their selection of jewelry which is all great quality and fairly priced, and my boyfriend has a a big fan of their AZ tees which are extremely soft. They also have a great selection both in store and online for their baby things. Love this place. 🙂

Rachel Malloy is perhaps the most unlikely local business owner to earn my admiration largely because I suck at being creative when it comes to shopping. Whether its clothing, trinkets, jewelry, or whatever, I'm really terrible at it. Most of my immediate and extended family is Arizona born and raised, so I've often sought out clothing and accessory stores that have AZ themed (and preferably AZ made) options. Low and behold, Bunky Boutique has been right under my nose all along.

The name Bunky Boutique is actually a tribute to Rachel's grandmother whom she affectionately referred to as Bunky. Originally opened in 2007, their current Downtown location has been open since 2010 and shares a space with Giant Coffee on 1st Street just south of McDowell Road (just east of the CVS Pharmacy parking lot). Recently, Bunky also opened a new (and larger) location in the Terminal 4 Pre-Security shopping area at Sky Harbor Airport. The selection is small compared to most department stores, but their small Downtown location has a pretty surprising variety of items to choose from. Most of the inventory is geared towards their female clientele, but they've also got men's clothing, baby items, and decorative knick knacks to choose from as well.

I've been here a number of times now. I've bought my brother (and myself) some t-shirts here, as well as some decorative items for friends (including an AZ themed tic tac toe board for a friend's housewarming). The prices vary depending on the items sold and vendors by in large are local independent brands. Not surprisingly this means you might pay a little more for certain items (a t-shirt I recently bought was priced at $35), but Yelp has your back. They've always honored the Yelp check-in that takes 15% off an in store purchase each time I've stopped in.

Lastly, I must also complement the staff at the front of Bunky Boutique for their great gift wrapping services, which they've twice done for me for free. So thanks to Rachel for saving my behind and making me look like a gift giving genius time and again. I have no doubt the new Sky Harbor location will also surprise and intrigue men and women alike. Your Grandma Bunky would be proud.

Man I wanted to love this place the second I saw it, and I did of course, but man is it pricey! Maybe I'm just a cheapskate but I'm not paying over $30 for a T-shirt. Great selection of jewelry, baby clothes etc. again it is a great store if you're willing to pay for more expensive T-shirt's that I could probably find at like a Ross or Target.

Cute little hidden shop. You can grab coffee and shop away. The place is a bit small but I've never gone and felt crowded. The worker was very friendly and helped me pick out the perfect gift for my husband and even took the time to help me discover some new local brands.

This boutique is tucked away on a side street joined by a coffee shop attached. What a great little place for women, men, and children finds. Quite a bit of local artist jewelry and soft AZ inspired sweatshirts and shirts. Some great bohemian shirts for women.

Stopped by Bunky during our trip to Arizona. This boutique is located inside the same space of a coffee shop. I loved the joint space (shopping and coffee- why not?!) The space is small but there is plenty to shop from. They had a nice assortment of apparel, jewelry, pins, cards and small gifts. There were several items I wanted but I restrained myself!there was some cool local designer and handmade items also. Service was friendly and I enjoyed my shopping experience here.
Ended up buying a scarf and a hanging wall art piece. Would definitely return next time.

I purchased a long cardigan sweater. It was very itchy even where I was covered with a shirt and jeans. I even washed it before wearing it. It was shedding everywhere. I wore it once and will not wear it again. I'll donate it. I purchased a gray top and after 2 washes the material is unraveling. There is mostly low quality items that are priced high based on being called a Boutique. This is low quality, fast fashion at boutique prices; it's not worth it.

BEWARE: THERE ARE NO REFUNDS AT ALL! Even if you haven't worn the items, even if the price tag is still on, even if it's the day after you purchased it. Rachel you have a responsibility to your customers to let them know this prior to purchasing. I was at the register and had to ask your staff where the sign was. It's purposely hidden and hard to see. That is unethical. Also, I looked on your website, on every page and there was no return policy information posted. I let your staff know and asked where it was and she said she must have forgotten to post it. Now that I pointed that out, you posted it on your website. Don't hide it on your contact page. It should have it's own page called Return Policy. Be honest, be transparent.

If you stood behind your products you would accept returns at least for 7 days if unused, tags still on. But you don't accept returns, because you don't sell quality items.

This is bad business.

Some very interesting clothes items, but pretty small selection (think of a celebrity's large closet). Skews hipster, and fairly expensive (quality definitely seems better than department stores, though).

Employees are very nice and friendly. In same building as a coffee shop.

My personal fave out of all the local boutiques, Rachel, the owner is always bringing new and affordable pieces into her stores. The Bunky box is such a great concept and the perfect gift. Check out her cactus onesies (the perfect Arizona gift for a new mom!) and if you're on the hunt for some new clothing and household treasures, she always has something unique and reasonably priced. I could go on and on, but you just have to go and check it out yourself! You won't be disappointed!

Still one of my favorite boutiques in the valley. There's always a unique selection of jewelry and clothing. Great for gifts if you're visiting Arizona and want to bring something meaningful back or if you're a local with the same mission. I like coming here when I want to treat myself to coffee and get a gift for someone. They have men's and children's clothing and accessories too!!!
