This company is the worst company I have ever dealt with I left them a few years ago and regrettably went back I wish the contract was up I would not advise anyone to go to bt ever.

Soul destroying and disloyal company that think they can treat customers with disregard because they have the monopoly on the UK telecommunications.
Tried recently to cancel a pointless mobile sim contract we had because the contract was up. However, this proved to be the most difficult thing to do!!! Tried calling BT but because of lockdown it was requested any communication was done via their email. After sending an email explaining my wish to terminate the contract I receive a reply saying my email hasn鈥檛 been received because their inbox is full !!! What ???!!!! So 2 days later I try to resend the email. I get the same response.
So I resorted to cancelling my direct debit…..Funny how this company is great at responding when you don鈥檛 pay them. I was billed for a late payment and another months worth of mobile sim. So I sent a letter off with a cheque only for the last months payment owing and not the late payment charge with the hope of this massive communications company actually receiving and taking on board my request to cancel the contract via good old pen and paper.
Again it鈥檚 amazing how they managed to cash my cheque but completely disregard my letter requesting the cancellation. Another bill comes through for another month owing and the late payment charge!!
I resort to calling the complaints number but this is out of service !!! What a joke, so I call customer services. After explaining the situation for half and hour the line goes dead and I feel like banging my head against a hard object repeatedly. Through no fault of my own and because a 鈥榗ommunications鈥?company failed to communicate I am left with an 拢84 bill.
Shame of you BT … if any of you CEOs / Big cheeses read this please sort your company out and treat your customers with a bit more respect. I am slowly withdrawing all my contracts with you as your service is consistently terrible. If my business treated customers the way you do we wouldn鈥檛 have a business.

I renewed my contract in february 2020 and the bills are a lot more than agreed with customer services.I was credited in may after a lenghy phone call to indian call centre and have now been overcharged again in august for my quarterly bill. If it wasnt for my business id pull the plug on them once and for all.hopeless lot

Loads of different teams that all tell you to call back to someone else but never actually do anything. There's no transparency and it's never clear what needs to happen next. I've never come across a more unhelpful organisation in my life

Promised wifi hot spots log in while waiting for broadband to be live, after 6 days and over 10 phone calls just gave up and cancelled
Should have looked here to see how bad it get, already they had put back me broadband date twice. Should have know then to cancel, gave up and eventually managed to cancel

You deserve zero stars our broadband does not work hasn't for a while but according to you there is nothing wrong with it so you wont fix it and we cant cancel as can not afford the termination fee I think you are a joke and every chance I get I'm going to broadcast how bad your service is

Would have left no stars if possible. Trying to shut an account was a nightmare and ended up paying one of 4 final bills to get rid of them only to now be in a situation where they owe me money! Can i get hold of customer services – of course not – nightmare, avoid avoid avoid.

Booked online for FTTP. Online said 2-7-20 install. Pushed back to 8-7-20 loads of texts on 7-2-20 incoming me of the upcoming visit on the 8th. No show on 8th told it was a 鈥檞ebsite error鈥?my install would be on the 18th July 2020 member of staff (whose name I got) 鈥榞uaranteed鈥?An install in the 18th. Then on 16th two staff attend to confirm they needed to dig and would submit the paperwork for the dig (they never did). Dig team arrived 24-7-20 arrived did the dig but never put in the paperwork to confirm work done. A week later they have no confirmation that work is done so cannot connect me, despite the fact that three days ago they attended and fitted my father FTTP (he鈥檚 in a granny flat, using the same trunking) still no use. AVOID BT LIKE THE PLAGUE. LOTS OF PROMISES, BUT NO SUBSTANCE. somehow they have managed to make a simple job difficult. If it鈥檚 not done by close of business today (31-7-20) I will be cancelling.

Truly the worst "service" I've ever experienced. Slow connection, which is denied when you bring it up with customer service. The 'minimum speed guarantee' is a scam, they will do everything not to pay out, including pretending they have lost previous complaints. One star is too much praise.

This company is an absolute disgrace!!! My elderly parents have had nothing but problems with BT broadband for the last 2 years. They have rung up so many times about it and all they do is try and sell them more products and the problems are never fixed. The wifi doesn鈥檛 connect to any mobile phone and it constantly drops out of their computers. You can鈥檛 get it in half the rooms, yet they been charging them 拢70 a month for this sub par service. They rung up again before Christmas and BT conned them into another 24 month contract promising them that if they signed up they would fix the problems (which they never did). They have now asked to leave BT and they are trying to charge them over 拢500.00. It鈥檚 criminal taking advantage of the elderly like this!!! Why would you have to pay for a service that doesn鈥檛 work!!!!! I told my Father to go to the ombudsman but one of their telephone advisors told him that if he did not only would he have to pay the cancellation fee he would have to pay the ombudsman too. They are appalling the way they have treated my parents.

Horrible experience with BT you get missinformed from day one and then they change your contract and ask you to pay more without telling you.
Also they refuse to let you open a complaint and most of the people you speak to over the phone are racist and rude!

Residentially I gave up on BT years ago. Worst company ever. Arrogant, faceless, couldn鈥檛 give a **** about customers. Now the company I do administration for has set up a new account with them and guess what……. Order incomplete, no ability to email them, went into the My BT online account we set up, can鈥檛 even progress through that as it keeps coming up saying no details. Rang them, from a mobile as they haven鈥檛 sent us the ordered equipment, shouldn鈥檛 have bothered. Same old BT. Customers? They don鈥檛 understand the word.

I would honestly give this service 0 stars if i could. I called BT around a month ago to let them know i wanted to cancel the direct debit which was 鈥榓pparently鈥?then when a charge went from my card i called back and the lady on the phone was very rude. Ignoring me and randomly just hung up the phone. BT have lost their touch, im so glad i switched.

Ordered BT as they offered a Mastercard for my elderly mother but then after many attempts of trying to access the online account and failing to get any help, they advised claiming the Prepaid Mastercard is now expired. So that was 拢80.00 down the drain. This is totally rubbish.

BT HAVE TAKEN 拢251 POUNDS OUT OF MY ACCOUNT FORA HP LAP I DID NOT RECEIVE. THEY KNOW WHEN TO DO THERE BT SHOP IS CLOSED.

I鈥檓 only giving 1 star because no stars isn鈥檛 an option.

I contacted BT TV after I cancelled my current provider due to cost. BT TV was by far the best priced & the flexibility of changing my package once a month seemed good too. However, not all is what it seemed, you have to have an Ariel at an additional cost of 拢30 & are expected to wait in for up to 5 hrs for the engineer to arrive & fit it. They will then tell you it鈥檚 an extra cost if you have 2 boxes (even though BT know this) & then they鈥檒l tell you the signal is too weak so you need a booster box which costs 拢40. Complete rip off & waste of time. Took over 30mins & 3 depts to cancel the order. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Got a problem on my line, in truth the women dealing with it was just nasty. I have no idea what was going on but serious attitude.
I don't need this so I will swap to Virgin in a few weeks, contract near its end.

For a company as big as BT, you'd think they'd be leading in terms of communication and overall effectiveness.

Probably one of the worst companies to deal with bar none.

Perfectly happy to take your money but then go completely silent on you afterwards. Calling them doesn't have any better affect since none of the cs agents seem to have any idea about anything you query about them about your order.

Just completely useless. You're MUCH better off using a smaller, more independent company. You'll actually get through to someone who actually speaks english, isn't from India and actually cares about customer relations.

BT are the worst company in the UK

Their business team fails to listen to your needs or make product recommendations that are appropriate.

They are unable to process orders properly, leaving me to suffer a 5 day delay… just to process an order

They do not talk to or listen to customers regarding the installation requirements at your property, wasting time and money of customers.

They blame everything on their subcontractors and do not take responsibility for delays or mismanagement of your order

You will talk to or be contacted by a different person every time you complain or raise an issue; no one takes personal responsibility for solving your problems

They will flat out lie to you about prices and delivery dates, again and again and again

I eventually cancelled my order for business broadband and phone after 5 weeks because BT had failed to complete the installation. I no longer trust the company will solve any problems in an efficient manner

Broadband stopped working a week ago, BT said the engineer would be there the next day between 1pm -6pm, no engineer came, I called BT they said no engineer was needed as the fault is outside, why didnt they CALL??? I took the day off work,

Anyway, they said the engineer would text within 24hrs to say when the work outside will be completed, 27 hours now, no text, and I still have no broadband.

Awful customer service, though the advisors on the phone did seem very helpful, however, nothing has been done!

BT where excellent in every way from first contact chat onwards to completion of the job. Jeremy who reconnected us (Openreach) today was 5 star and a really nice fella. Good work all round and very pleased with how we where treated.

Bt Failed to inform virgin they were taking over my account, So I got billed for both,
I have had the youview set top box which has been replaced 4 times in 2 years, half the time it never worked hence multiple boxes, the issue is like a rash on sites about this item,
New box has lasted 3 weeks and crapped out again, they are refusing to replace anymore despite the sales of goods act 1996,
In order for me to use the services I pay for they must provide the means, they said they can get an engineer out in 2 weeks but can't give a firm time, But they expect paynent on time or you will lose services, I have finally had enough and have refused the 2 week wait for an engineer to visit to tell me the obvious,
Basically the service provided is sub standard and they owe me about 12 months of non use from faulty sub standard boxes
In a nut shell…AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! Unless you want to suffer the same as I and many others have and been subjected to
Think twice before entering into a contract with them! And don't be fooled by the new advert.
I am writing to ofcom about the mis-sale of product also the adverse credit rating I received when I quite rightly refused to pay Virgin media.
BT have taken money under false pretenses and caused me to have a poor credit rating which I had to pay in the end but the credit rating stays nonetheless, punished by the big guys.
And yes I did switch the box on and off FFS!

ordered landline broadband and tv with sport online on 9th november 2019.. virgin rang me (my previous supplier to try and offer me a better deal). even after i said no virgin cancelled my bt order , i rang bt to re-instate my order, the same deal as i had done online ( in the deal for ordering online i got a choice of free tv or xbox one, plus a 拢100 reward card) the person i spoke to said everything was back on track and order restored.
now its 15 january 2020 i have complained at least 12 times and keep being fobbed off from one department to another, also since 7th december i have been told my complaint has been sent to the listen too team to see if i Qualify for the tv and and reward card,
@ 7.30 this evening i received an email saying my complaint had been closed , Fuming is not the word, time to go to the trade ombudsman for false advertising. BT YOUR a disgrace to the this country

Had reason to get in touch with BT regarding my bill today.
I found them very helpful and they sorted everything out for me there and then.
Even changed me to online bill viewing saving me 拢36 per annum.
Very impressed.
