I've had no contact with these people, and yet they were able to take money out of my account. I subscribed to WIX for a year, when that year was nearly over, Brilliant download's people tried to get into contact with me. Without my consent they took money out. What I found out, is that the same email address and password that I had with Brilliant download had been with WIX, so this means they are connected to WIX, and used that information to take my money.

STAY VERY FAR AWAY from this website. I had authorised only one trial subscription of Rs 2700 in Feb 2018 through Debit card. I WAS NOT ABLE TO DOWNLOAD ANYTHING. And when I noticed they deducted that they deducted in March 2018 too, I went to the AXIS BANK branch in Kalyananagar, Bengaluru and gave a request to block. Abut to my dismay it happened in Apr too! I took the Branch AVP to task. NEarly Rs 8500 is lost for nothing!

Now I have blocked the Debit card! That seems to be the only way, other than closing your account or maintaining zero balance in your account!

Is there not some sort of watch dog that can close them down???

I signed up for the "promotional membership" for $2, and then after 3 days they'll charge me full membership. I was gonna buy a book for my thesis and i was desperate for the copy so I decided to input my card details and just cancel my membership after I downloaded it. Once I submitted my details it only said "must be logged in" and I was $#*!ing logged in. I tried to search on how to cancel my account and it didn't have that option. I HAD TO CALL MY BANK AND CANCEL MY CARD AND REQUEST FOR A NEW ONE. DO NOT GO ON THIS SITE!

I signed up for the free trial, then when I tried to sign in to download. It wouldn't let me sign in and I got suspicious.

I did some research afterward and I am planning on calling my bank when I see the charge come onto my account. This is ridiculous. I didn't want to have to possibly get a new bank card because of this schmuck.

It's tiring that this happened. I also reported this site to the US Congress task force to combat Fraud. Hopefully they'll track down and shut down this stupid scam.

Wish I had come here first!! Same story as other reviewers: found a PDF I wanted, paid for trial membership, then the book was no longer listed. Surprise surprise I then got a call from my bank about suspicious activity on my account – they tried to take $80, the thieving ***************s. Luckily my bank stopped the payment, but my card in now cancelled, so all in all a complete scam – avoid it like the plague!

I saw a book on this website and I made one month membership, after I paid 3 dollars the document could no longer be found on their site (ghost document). And today the tried to take 100 dollars without my persision. I blocked my card and I don't think they took the money. But it's a fake site and it steals your money, so be very carreful, and avoid it!

Thanks Site Jabber for the warnings from your reviewers.
I wanted a discontinued software download – iPhoto 9.6.1.
BrilliantDownload offered it.
After clicking the download button I was asked to sign up for a 3 day promotional membership of $3. Fine I thought. It was clearly explained that a $39 per month charge would follow automatically unless I cancelled, which I intended to do straight after I had received the download.
I gave my credit card details!
Something about the site didn't seem right. so I googled BrilliantDownloads.
Heaps of complaints. No favourable comments at all.
I had paid $3 to have my credit card stolen.
Card cancelled IMMEDIATELY.
It's taken me years to memorise the number!

BRILLANT DOWNLOAD TOTAL SCAM … tried the trial offer, nothing but bad links and money orientated advertising. asked for money back when i applied immediate cancellation, get a generated email sent back saying thankyou, your account has been cancelled. NO REFUND still sending emails requesting refund after being told it would take 10 days. that was a month ago. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAM, IF POSSIBLE TRY AND POST SOMETHING TO DETER OTHER PEOPLE. the more posts the better,

I paid for the so called Promotional Membership in order to download the document. They came back with confirmation email which listed both my login credentials and password which other websites would never do it (revealing your ID and password), but instead provide a link for you to click for you to click. Furthermore, the login ID and PW do not work to let you get into the website.
I paid for a Promotional Membership of $3.00 (Quotation is in US$) to test the water first, but I've got charged 19.77 in CNY in my credit card and the credit card statement came back via SMS saying that the transaction was made at MALLDAOJ BUSINESS SHA which made me think that this was a Chinese scam as the online support never came back to me even though each time I wrote a complaint they always said that would come back soon,
I have got to go online banking to lock my credit card and then called my credit card company to re-issue the new credit card which is painful.
They have used different names for the scam:
Download Genius; Brilliant Download, Superior Download, etc. each time you get into it.
It's a CHINESE scam !!!
I WOULD GIVE IT A NEGATIVE OVERALL RATING TO KEEP OTHER PEOPLE AWAY FROM THIS SCAM IF AVAILABLE SUCH AN OPTION.

This Chinese (yet another Chinese site dressed up to look like a Western one) site claims to give customers access to books, articles etc not available elsewhere. It does not – it will give you access to reviews of the books or articles you want, nothing more. In addition you must pay $40- a month for basically…..nothing

I Googled my book "Shattered Fate" by PF Karlin and noticed it come up with a PDF in front of the author name. So I went to the site and searched for the book. Our book is not out in PDF, so this concerned me. I emailed the contact email and asked how the artist receive their compensation. As everyone who wrote a review, I received no answer. After reading the reviews and what the outcomes have been, I now feel confident, this fraudulent company does not have a PDF of my book, but instead is making money from people trusting they will get what they pay for. How can people sleep at night knowing they are part of a rip off scam?

The site pretends to have content it doesn't truly have, and then (when you pay your $3 access fee) it just turns out to contain a list of sites you can access for free anyway. It doesn't even offer any special deals. You still pay full price on all items through the linked sites. I've not yet had any problems with membership costs beyond the initial $3 payment, but if I do, I'll be sure to let everyone know.

Utter and complete fraud. Just performed a Google search for an online class. Brilliant Download showed it had TWO zip filed for this online course. I, too, paid the $3 and it just kept offering a continuous cycle of Google & other book outlet sources.

How TF do you charge people money for a *** FREE online search?!
