Great notes given by IS. I needed help with my third act in particular – and the option of being able to ask questions in advance was invaluable as it allowed for the report to be tailored to suit my unique requirements; rather than just getting a load of generic advice.

If I was being hypercritical I would have to say the service wasn鈥檛 as fast as others I have used. But as with everything in screenwriting, slow and steady wins the race.

Would highly recommend IS to others.

Industrial Script鈥檚 analysis has been far away from their reputation and surprisingly skin-deep. Their approach has been quite dogmatic -all scenarios must comply to a certain prescription! Communication with them is also bad: you have to wait for at least 3-4 days for a response to your messages even if that has to do with an email you should 鈥渁utomatically鈥?receive after submitting your project in order to sign up, but you have never received. But what is really disappointing is that they attempt to apply strict frameworks which supposedly lead to marketability onto a purely creative process; the art of writing.

Industrial Scripts have analysed several of my scripts and provided a first rate service, with useful suggestions, friendly advice and I keep coming back to them, the vital test.

Industrial Scripts -Effective Script Reading Course was a great way to understand what the studio readers are looking for to pass that script on for development. An insight to the gate keepers which will help you gain a better understanding of the commercial viability of yours and others scripts, popular genres as well as equipping you with the tools to write a professional report. A well run, friendly and informative course that I would thoroughly recommend. Having said that, some of the emails sent out are surprisingly rude.

A great introduction into script reading. Thoroughly informative and an intensive day and well worth the money. A great networking opportunity and has given me the confidence and skills to become a script reader.

Truly exception feedback on my treatment. Highly professional, thorough and with such evident care for the work they do. Not only was the report itself remarkably thorough and trenchant in its writings, but the analyst also went above and beyond to write additional pages beyond what was quoted. And it's a fantastic feeling to know that someone is reading your work because they are interested in it – not just doing their job.

The script reading course was packed full of useful information suitable for both beginners and those wanting to improve their skill base. The assessment was challenging, but a realistic introduction to the role of a script reader which will be beneficial when looking for work in the industry. I thoroughly recommend.

Great and intense course. My only criticism is that we weren't allowed a copy of the slides and it was quite intense having to make notes at the same time as listening for what was a lot of content.

Re: script analysis for my TV pilot/series bible. There's great depth to the consultants comments. A very insightful report indeed, which will be invaluable when I approach the next draft.

A very worthwhile course. Lots packed into the day, all useful information, and a really great tutor in Rob. My only gripe would be that some of the handouts with industry data were out of date, originating from 2014 & 2015. However, this shouldn't detract from a good course and credit should be made for the fact that it was constantly reiterated that getting a job as a script reader isn't easy and this course is not a golden ticket into those jobs. Highly recommended.

Overall a very good experience which has given me a lot more confidence to go and seek script-reading opportunities. The course instructor was knowledgeable and had a good delivery, but pace was an issue. There was clearly too much material to get through and the PowerPoint presentation could have been cut by at least a third. We had to squeeze to fit everything in and rushed over some of the more helpful/informative sections.

Excellant course with a lot of information. The only thing I didn't like was perhaps we needed two days to take it all in.

A great day with a very knowledgable tutor. I loved that this course has assignments to complete as it really helps to put into practice some of the theory that we were taught. Would definitely recommend to anyone who was serious about entering the film business as this course is industry centric unlike so many other courses that I have done with other companies.

The professionally written report arrived on time, as promised
The standard was the best I have seen, and I have seen many. I would hope that anyone else with a script of this genre might save themselves a lot of time by requesting IS coverage and development analysis.
Most of the suggestions for script improvement were excellent, and I had no trouble seeing the logic behind most suggestions
I sensed that the consultant saw where I am heading, did not over-impose his/her opinions, did not harass me for fictionalising part of a biopic,and left me in no doubt that I should keep pushing the script quality beyond the four nominations that the script received this week.
As to locating the script's position in the marketplace, this was perhaps the weakest part of the IS analysis. The consultant mainly talked about the age group most likely to attend the movie, and he/she put forward the view that I should be forthcoming in any pitch sessions that the major audience would be older. Other reviewers have given me a different opinion and so I might have to make a decision about strengthening a young supporting role.

As stated in the detailed and helpful FAQ, the film dry run report is not for the faint of heart. The reviewer was clear and honest in their feedback and certainly did not pull any punches, which is just what upcoming writers need if they are to improve their work to a professional standard.

While their feedback is constructive they do not sugar coat things. Ultimately this is a report of the industry perspective and that is invaluable.
