We booked Indigo flights for domestic travels within India. We are British citizens and booked our holiday to go to India in December. Due to COVID-19 pandemic our flights were cancelled and as a result we had to cancel the Indigo flights. Despite much requests, Indigo deducted 50% of the ticket price. As we can not come to India in December for no faults of our own, we still have to suffer the financial loss. They did not even give us full credit for future use.
This is a horrible experience for us. We have written to the customer service and they were absolutely unhelpful and I felt they do not understand simple logic.
Such mercenary behaviour will surely discourage international tourists to visit India. If a so called large Indian airline can scam people like us, what are we supposed to think of the country!!
Buyer Beware.

They should not operate all Staff are really lack in common sense and very unhelpful
Explain an issue and they hang up on phone
So rude. Indigo should close business
And remove all staff who handle 24/7 calls and emails

BOM-LKO. Flew on Indigo thrice and all 3 flights were delayed. Paid extra to book seat of choice and meal. Check-in staff extremely rude and unfriendly. Cabin was not as clean as they rave about. Inflight cabin service without a smile. Only cold meals served. They also charge for wheelchairs with fares comparable to full service carriers. Not my choice and not recommended. Very pricey for a 'low cost airline'.

I would recommend people not to fly with Indigo specially to an international destination. This is out of my worst experience that I've ever had on any of my international travel. The company cancelled the flight from KL to Chennai without even intimating us. When we reached the airport we were told that the flight is cancelled. Worst of all, they did not make any arrangement for me even when I requested them that I had to catch a flight to Denmark the very next day. The guy in KL airport was quite helpful, he tried to accomodate me and my family considering the situtaion. There were 5 no shows on another flight that was going to Bangalore, but the guy who had to authorise the change completely denied. I have never seen a prick like that in my life. He was not even ready to listen to me. In the end they didn't even give me accomodation for the wait period and I missed my flight to Copenhagen.

INDIGO SCAMERS. I booked a flight to India but It was cancelled because the country close the Borders due tu covid-19. Indigo's policy says that wheter the company cancel the flight or the borders of the country are close, the costumer receive the money back. However, Indigo didnt give us the money back. So, they are not a trustable company because they are betraying their own policy. What is lowcost finally is high cost. Don't flight with Indigo.

Plane seemed so old that I didn't feel safe in it at all. Seats were antique and uncomfortable. The crew didn't seem to care about or notice that some passengers were not following safety instructions. Meals served on-board of 6-hour long flight were sandwiches and noodles. They'd run out of veggie sandwiches before they got to me, so I agreed to get noodles instead. I was very surprised to find out that those will be instant noodles, but took it anyway, as I was starving. No in-flight entertainment or alcohol served, so I couldn't even distract or numb myself to get through this horrible experience (my bad, as they provide this info on their website, but I hadn't visited said website before the journey, as I booked this flight through different airlines – codeshare). At the end of the flight we had to seat on the landed plane for about 15-20 minutes with no explanation given and then while exiting we were given some form to fill in right there, on the spot (but no pens to fill it in with) – many people were crowded in the jet bridge to do that, while perhaps they could've distributed those forms during flight or at least give them out with pens. Generally very bad experience comparing to any other flight I was on. One plus was that the staff at Delhi airport were quite nice and the ones on the plane were fine as well.

Very poor customer service, website constantly down, outdated aircrafts and ridiculous baggage policies. I flew with IndiGo before and even if their customer service was not great at all and the airplanes were old, no entrainment and horrible food (even if in premium economy), I had booked through work and a travel agent. However, I have just booked a flight for next month for a personal trip and I had a horrible experience. The website is not working, payment is not processed even if you enter your card details, customer service is very poor and no one helps you out with solving the actual issue.
I have tried to book an internal flight and your website was down for 24 hours! I have entered my card details about 7 times and it came back with an error, not even knowing if the payment went through. The rest of the 15 times I have tried it didn't even get to the payment stage or it simply didn't even show the flights at all as it was frozen on the first page. In these 24 hours, the price of the tickets also increased by 25%. I tried to online chat with an agent, however, they had no solution for me and kept telling me to try again. After a while of back and forth, the agent offered to hold the tickets for me and I can log in after and pay for them. I have tried to pay and still, the payment did no go through. Additionally, as they quoted and held the flight in INR instead of GBP, the price went up for an extra 10%. This is just a ripoff and a joke. I was ready to book with another airline but the time of the flight was the only convenient one. Next time I will make sure to plan my trip and connecting flights from before and avoid having to ever book a flight with IndiGo. After all this, after trying about another few times the payment suddenly went through and I checked in. but surprise!! they have unchecked me!! As apparently I need to present the card for the payment at the airport. This is a joke, right? Also, I have an international flight in the 24 h so they better not ask me for extra luggage payment as the fees are ridiculous and Vistara for eg. offers you more allowance when you have an international flight. I will NOT be booking with IndiGo ever again and I travel to India very often.

Their name should be InDoNotGo. They charge Rs. 400 per Kg for excess baggage! I had 25 Kg and they charged me Rs. 10,000 (equivalent to US $140) which was 50 percent more than my one way ticket price! This is a total rip off as even in US, for domestic flights you usually pay $25 to $40 for excess baggage up to 23 kg. Even for international flights one pays $50- 80. I guess, they would in future start charging passengers by their weight before they go bankrupt!
Obviously they are not reasonable and out there to suck as much money as possible off their customers. I do not recommend them at all!

Indigo is the worst airline to fly with please stay well away. The service is very poor, the staff are very rude and if you have any issues you will just be ignored. In August 2019 I was travelling with my 77 year old mother who has severe arthritis. I had a problem with this airline and missed our connecting flight due to indigo's flight being late. We were travelling from Dubai to Delhi then a connecting flight from Delhi to Amritsar all with indigo. Our Indigo flight from Dubai landed 40 minutes late in Delhi. We rushed to catch our connecting Indigo flight to Amritsar but was told buy a indigo manager at Delhi airport (Arun Kumar) that the plane had already taken off. I checked the time and noticed the flight had left 15 minutes early so I questioned Arun Kumar on why this was. I was told you have arrived late the gate is closed and there's nothing I can do. I explained our indigo flight from Dubai was late but without checking was told I'm lying and that the flight was not late. I tried to explain my situation for about 20 minutes and then was told my connecting flight to Amritsar is just taking off now and there is nothing they can do. I was told I should buy a new ticket and the next flight to Amritsar will be departing the following day (24 hours later). I asked Arun Kumar how I could make a complaint but he was very reluctant to give me any details, I was told he will log the complaint. I asked for the CEOs details or indigo's head office number but was told he doesn't know it. I the got the details from the information desk at the airport. We then had to get a taxi from Delhi to Amritsar and take frequent stops. This was the worst experience we have ever had. PLEASE DON'T FLY WITH THIS AIRLINE.

They rescheduled my flight 3 times without offering any accommodation and even apologizes. They did it at the very last moment when I already couldn鈥檛 book another flight from normal company. I payed for direct 6 hours flight from Delhi to Istanbul. Finally they operated 9 hours!! with a stop in Doha when they even didn鈥檛 let passengers to come out from the aircraft!!

Terrible experience with entire booking process and customer service from the airline. We were given wrong information by your staff and we were denied boarding for our flight because apparently there was no transfer desk at our transit airport! It cost us our return ticket, unnecessary stress at the airport, and an extra USD $2000 for alternative and last minute flights to make it back home on time for urgent business. Upon returning home, we made several attempts to reach authorized management to address our case – the responses were slow (if any) and unprofessional with no attention to our case. We received standard replies and it has been almost a month now since we have received any updates about our complaint.

Had a horrible experience aboard Indigo airline while flying from Jaipur to Kolkata last week. I was on-board Indigo 6E-237 and half-an-hour before landing in Kolkata smoke started filling the cabin. This smoke was coming from AC vents and everyone aboard the flight was terrified as this drama unfolded mid-air ruling out any possibility to land any time soon. Everyone was afraid whether the flight would or wouldn't land. It almost felt as if we were sitting in the middle of a pyre of burning plastic and metal. That smoke was so horrible that babies started crying and passengers started murmuring and started throwing nervous glances at each other. Panic was written all over everyone's face. As the flight landed, I asked a flight attendant to help me get out of the flight but it seems that the crew on board froze. I beg to question the safety regulations followed by Indigo and its crew members. With each moment that passed, everyone grew more and more afraid as smoke completely engulfed the cabin. With little help or information coming from the crew, everyone expected the worse. I swear I will think twice before taking an Indigo flight and will also urge everyone to reconsider Indigo. While it can be written off as a stray incident, the reality is that their aircraft have encountered issues in the recent past.

Very displeased with the refund amount I will be receiving on a 'refundable' ticket. It would be very beneficial for travellers to know that the airline has a deceptive 'refundable' (in which you only get 20% refund) and 'fully refundable' (how much do you get back in this, 30% refund?) ticketing policy (as explained by one of their customer service representative). Very unlikely that I will ever make travel reservations with Indigo.
Attention travellers with fluid plans: Please make sure the advertised "refundable" ticket is actually refundable before you plan to pursue a reservation with this airline if you do not want to get burned.

This video www. youtube. com/ watch ? v = 80MHMOTLjgA of the Mosquito menace on Indigo鈥檚 flight number labeled as LKO-PAT-CCU / 6E-342 / occurred on 19th February 2017.
I want to tell you all that not only this is true about the inflight menace happened in Indigo aircraft, but I was among the passengers in the flight. As soon we entered the aircraft some strange smell was coming out. In a matter of few minutes to the worst of my nightmare saw mosquitos in the flight hovering above heads of passengers and the intensity grew further as the all Pax entered.
There were two passengers who were really disturbed with the mosquitos. They objected this with the crew. Instead of getting an appropriate response what they received was a bad response from crew members. Later the two Pax were forcefully offloaded for protesting this at PAT Airport.
