We had a fantastic holiday in our Indie Campervan. The service at the split depot was excellent. The van was in very good condition bar a few very small points. It was perfect size for us as a couple but you have to pack light. I would highly recommend Indie Campers to Tavel the Dalmatian coast and the national parks in the area.

The communication prior to the trip was clear and informative, the Airport shuttle worked great and we were well informed by the depot team as to the pick-up time, and where to meet etc. Chatting with our driver was fun and full of useful info on apps to use whilst travelling and where to go etc. Checkout was a breeze and we hit the road shortly after arriving at the van depot. We were given the right van model we had booked but it was not the same as the van as in the website images – Indie Campers have a range of pretty wild paintjobs – and ours looked like a giant wedge of cheese with a topless mermaid painted on the side – some people might like this but we felt it looked well out of place at the sites and carparks we stayed at – inside of the van worked fine – sheets and bedding pretty good, the kitchen equipment was a bit old and could have done with being replaced with newer items. Overall, spending time at the beaches around Peniche and Nazar茅 was amazing, the Park4Night App was essential to find hidden spots to camp away from the crowds and the van was reliable and comfy for the duration of our holiday- at check-in the depot staff were professional and friendly and took note of a couple of issues with the van for the next occupants. We will definitely repeat the trip in the near future with Indie Campers

We decided very spontaneously to book a camper. Everything went well from Check-in to roadtripping to the Check-out.

The Fiat Nomad Camper is very easy to drive and is comfy as well.

I have had a great experience with Indie Campers. I got their van from their depot in Portugal and their staff is great and the vans are super clean and nice! My kids loved the campervan experience.

Never use this company. They are liars and thieves. 29th March 2020, they confirmed via email they would refund my deposit within 90 days, as I had cancelled more than 3 months before the start of my trip. 18th of April 2020, they send an email saying they renege on the previous email and won't provide a refund.

Hi you all. It will get a bit longer to read my evaluation of IndieCampers based on 4000 km from south to north Italy by winter. I got the RV (Active Plus) at Roma Depot during the low season (13 days in December). Initially, it was a dream to travel by RV for my first time and the problems go on.

Our first problem was the temperature of the van during the winter. It is impossible to stay at RV without insulation, no heater system inside; except a normal heater, rented as Extra that made no difference at night. I recommend do not rent Active Plus in winter, you will be in trouble.

Second: small problems. The front light bulb of the right side of the RV was burned, I had to change my trip to find a car mechanic: a day lost. Also, I got another problem, the keys did not turn on the Ducato at night in a dark nowhere. After calling the IndieCampers support, I listened that this problem is well known by attendants, they advised me to shake the steering wheel of the car. And it worked. Now I know that loaded errors passed ahead.

Third and of high importance. The insurance is only for glass windows and tires. Their insurance does not cover LDW / CDW nor your credit card insurance will cover any damage because you rented a "recreative car". This was my nightmare. I rented 13 days by December/2019 for 767鈧?and standard insurance by 247鈧? more than 1014鈧?with other Extras. And prepare yourself for a small damage in the car as >10 cm scratch in the roof that it will cost 959鈧? This nightmare was made without chance to get three budgets by auto body and paint services in Italy. No chance to discuss the costs with them. They will answer: "
These costs take into consideration time that the campervan needs to be stopped, time spent by staff resolving the issue, time that we cannot rent out the vehicle due to the damages, the damages themselves, differences from mechaednical costs from all over Europe, relocation costs, the drop in value in our product due to damage, and other potential costs."

This is the worst answer that I received so far. I received a RV with lots of scratches on the car body that are registered in the signed contract. The scratches did not stopped the car. The car was passed ahead for another renter. It was 959鈧?for a small scratch, a value three times higher than the market. Also, they pointed out this is a "standard value in the rental industry". This completely disappointed me and I am thinking about how they are not honest to get the client position made only by terms and conditions (11.3 item) that I did not have time to read. They have a hidden "Rental Firm table prices" for damages, you will not find on the website, only in Depot. A bad practice that made not clear the unfair costs.

After all, I do not recommend and discourage who is thinking to rent a car with these guys. I hope IndieCampers change the practices and insurance for better relationships with their clients. My third point was decisive to evaluate down IndieCampers. You that are reading my evaluation do not deserve this headache.

Staff was helpful and prompt. I have only booked the trip at this point so I'll review again afterwards, but the ability to pick up in one spot and drop it off a few days tripping away makes our trip possible. Super handy. Looking forward to this!
