Inca Expert Travel

During this most extraordinary time, we were extremely fortunate to work with an outstanding company, Inca Expert Travel and their advisor, Jackie Becker! During the planning stage Jackie was very prompt in responding and her knowledge of Peru was excellent. Because of the virus we were unable to travel we compliment Jackie as to her total professionalism and assistance regarding our inability to visit Peru. Her assistance was first rate! When the world situation improves and we are able to safely travel there is no doubt that we will contact Jackie Becker and Inca Expert Travel so that we can visit Peru.

For my 50th birthday, I decided to take a trip by myself for the first time. I traveled to Lima, Puerto Maldonado, Cusco and Machu Picchu. The trip was perfect!!! Everything was absolutely seamless. I was met at all transfers in a timely manner. The drivers and guides were so knowledgable and friendly. The accommodations were great and I particularly loved Inkaterra Hacienda Concepcion. What an experience!

Since it was my birthday, I received so many "celebrations." Cornelia, my travel coordinator, was superb. She help me design the perfect trip. I have always dreamed of going to Machhu Pichu I also loved to hike and wanted to challenge myself. She help me create a trip that included hiking Huana Pichu. When I had the opportunity to extend my trip, she help me select my time in the rain forest.

I had one glitch. I left my phone in my taxi. I was so upset. I was waiting for the train to Machu Pichu. I called the emergency number and within 20 minutes, I had my phone back.

I definitely want to return to Peru and I definitely would use Inca Expert Travel again!!!

I normally plan all our travel movements, but given the complexities of travelling in Peru, decided to ask for assistance from Inca Travel Experts. We knew that we wanted to go to Lima and Machu Picchu, but Liz Spurling was fantastic in putting together proposals that allowed us to visit the Amazon (Inkaterra), Cusco, Sacred Valley, Ollantaytambo, Machu Picchu, and Lima in about 9 days. Awesome trip with guides and drivers to meet us every step of the way. In particular it guides Husto at Inkaterra, Fabricio in Cusco, and Katy at Machu Picchu. Without this level of coordination it would not have been possible to pack so much into such a short time! thank you Liz and Inca Expert Travel!

We had a great tripp (Feb, 2020) to Peru. A week in the jungle at Tambotata Research Center and then Cusco/Sacred Valley/Machu Picchu. Jame Gilmore arranged the trip and the execution was flawless. A perfect itinerary and he had staged great guides along the way. The entire experience at TRC was amazing. A huge impact came from our fantastic guide Harrison, but the accommodations, food (fantastic), and atmosphere were great. They even had an amazing bar with one of the world greatest bartenders (luis) who often commented that "just because we are in the jungle, we are not savages". Huber in Cusco gave us a great orientation to Cusco surroundings and the Inca culture, Ivan guided us through the sacred valley and was incredibly down to earth and informative, very fun to spend spend the day with. Peter guided us through Machu Picchu like some kind of Jedi – somehow bending the crowds and the selfie enthusiast away from our view with a simple wave of his hand. His knowledge of the site was impeccable. Thanks James!

Very organised Peru trip. Everything was well executed by the Inca expert team. Had a very special trip (proposed to my partner) and thank the team for making it happen. We dealt with cornelia, who should be very proud of her work.

All the guides and drivers of Inca Expert Travel were excellent teams and made our trip an experience to remember. We learned a lot and enjoyed how our guides were able to make the history and landmarks come together with all we had previously read. The trip was a nice blend of tours and free time to explore on our own.
Palacio del Inca in Cusco was exceptional with all staff members very helpful and welcoming. We had an awesome breakfast buffet to start each day of sightseeing and were pleased with the very alert and helpful reception personal and concierge.
We can't say enough about the porters of Wayki Trek as they made our hike so much easier and more comfortable than we thought possible, and always with a genuine smile.
Our hiccups were few and manageable with the great staff throughout our adventure. Information could have been clearer on sleeping bags for the hike, it was our only real unexpected expense. When I lost our bus tickets they worked everything out and we were happy to know our guide had a copy for us when we needed them.
It was truly the trip of a lifetime and we are grateful to the entire team that made it possible.

The hotels were lovely, the excursions were interesting and Cusco and Macchu Pichu were beautiful. Only thing we would have changed were so many church visits. While they were beautiful, one was enough for us. The guides were knowledgable and very friendly.

We were on a girls trip to celebrate our 50th birthdays. We were so impressed with everyone at Incas Expert. James, our travel agent was extremely knowledgeable and helped us the entire way through. Our guides while in Peru were also top notch. I took notice at the other companies guides and Inca Experts guides were definitely a step above. We had Juan Carlos, Fredy and Manuel. Each of them loved their job, country and history. We learned so much from each of them! I would definitely recommend this trip and company. We did hike Huayna Picchu. Definitely worth it, however, I would say it was a difficult hike and we are all in good shape.

A trip to Peru, if you plan on seeing all the sites, is a logistical nightmare. Trains, planes, autos, and boats !! Incas Expert Travel handled our trip flawlessly. Everytime we stepped off a boat, plane, train or auto an English speaking guide awaited us. Never once did we need to look for help. The guides are the best, special shout out to Henry in Puno, Juan Carlos in the Sacred Valley and sandro in Bolivia. All guides were knowledgeable, bilingual and enthusiastic about their tours. I highly recommend James and the group at Incas Expert Travel for the best Inca experience possible.

The tour guides and drivers that they contract with were walking historians. Details were important to everyone.
The food and lodging were 5 star.
The trek company that they contract with, Wayki were beyond imaginable. The guide, Fredy, the cooks Timoteo, Jose and Isidro the porter were so thorough, looking out for our safety while showing us the most extreme and amazing trek, history, geography, culture, cuisine, nothing was taken for granted. Everyone made sure our time was amazing.

Absolutely hands down the best trip I鈥檝e ever taken and it鈥檚 all due to our wonderful travel advisor, Liz. She made it easy from start to finish. She listened to our travel and budget requests. She was timely, efficient, professional, and beyond helpful. I don鈥檛 think we would have been able to plan this trip without her help. There are so many fine details when it comes to planning a trip to Machu Picchu and Liz made everything so easy. Additionally, everything was even better than expected. The hotels were wonderful as were all of the staff, drivers, etc who helped along the way. We felt confident and safe during the entire trip. Would recommend more than 5 stars if possible! My husband and I just returned from a fantastic trip, hiking the Inca Trail for 4 days, spending several days in Cusco and finishing our trip on Lake Titicaca and Isla Suasi. Every detail, reservation, contact, and accommodation was expertly handled by Incas Expert Travel.
