Impact Business Advisors

This company provides consulting services to supposedly help companies make more money while spending less time doing it. They also supposedly provide a number of other consultation services for what I'm sure is a hefty fee.
Although my contact person, who claims to have been with this company for the entire 23 years that Impact Business Advisers has been in business, is a nice enough guy, he's very demanding on contractors who do NOT receive a salary, is offering a "product" that is probably way overpriced and not viewed as an absolutely necessary way for companies to spend their money in this world economy.
You MUST call in by 8am daily to report the hours you'll be working that day. You must call in around noon time also to check in and talk about progress. Then finally you must call in at the end of your shift. If I tell someone once that I'll be working the shift I told them, I feel like that should be enough. I'm a professional, not a five year old.
Their compensation plan is set up backwards. I've had some serious sales positions in my life and they've always started out with a commission/draw program. Once the rep "ramps up" after learning the products or services, the draw kicks in and you receive either the salary or the commissions, whichever is higher. This company does just the opposite. After 90 days they offer a draw and you even have to wait 60 days before they'll even set you up on direct deposit. Checks are sent via FedEx weekly during that probation period unless you're willing to open an account with their bank, one that I'm not crazy about by the way. So basically, you're probably going to be working for free for at least the first few weeks as no business owner I talked to in the few days that I tried this "opportunity" out, was even remotely interested in "consulting" with anyone.
This company is obviously not willing to trust or invest anything in the professionals they take on, which is probably why they have ads on Craigslist on a regular basis.
My advice is to hold out for a company that respects their contractors or employees and understands that people need to be paid for their efforts while they're learning. Especially in a telecommuting position

Impact Business Advisors, Fort Washington PA. Prospective employees beware. This company advertises on Craigs List as a professional consulting company who evaluates businesses for everything from finances to employee manuals.
If they have the resources they claim they would have professional training programs, web site with principles listed and be a current member of the Better Business Bureau. Their main claim is their BBB rating and that means nothing. There is no way of contacting the main office as posted because the recruiters intercept all calls so there is no way of verifying their an employee with the company. My advise…don't waste your time with this company.
