Not the easiest experience I've had applying for a visa in Africa but once I was directed to the proper website for application and payment it took only a few minutes to submit an application and a few days to register my USA Visa card for use in applying in South Africa.
I dropped off the forms and receipts at the Consulate in Sandton and a little over a week later I had my passport back with a visa inside!
