A breath of fresh air! Not only is Dr. Lickerman a first class listener and diagnostician, but his manner is extremely soothing and matter of fact. He is available and responsive. His staff is also kind and efficient. The office environment is lovely – very calm. I cannot say enough good things. I feel fortunate to have found him.

Dr. Alex Lickerman is the best doctor I have had. He takes time in each appointment to go through a comprehensive analysis of everything related to your health. He is patient and kind and a terrific communicator. He thrives on understanding you and providing individual care. He doesn't short circuit anything and no question is insignificant or bothersome to him. He is also accessible as advertised and the direct care is wonderful. He is terrific in every way!

This doctor is kind, compassionate, easy to get in touch with and SUPER smart. He takes his time to go over everything with you and fully researches any issues that you might have. I like that he comes from the University of Chicago, it makes me feel safe. The office itself is very sleek and easy to get to, highly recommend.

I'd give ten stars if I were able! I actually followed Dr. Lickerman from his previous practice to this practice. Nobody thinks as seriously and with as much concern about your health and wellbeing as Dr. L. This is not the assembly line doctoring that we've all grown used to tolerating. This is a doctor who really listens and provides tailored, personal care. Make an appointment! Like, yesterday!

I have seen Dr. Lickerman over the years and have always been reassured by his confident yet down to earth manner and ability to listen and communicate with me. Most recently he began his new practice ImagineMD downtown which is a better location for me than U of C. My first appointment with ImagineMD was amazing: easy to get an appointment, friendly staff and Dr. Lickerman was very thorough. I highly recommend him as a doctor practicing anywhere but really pleased that he has begun this new practice.

Having had several doctors over the years, I have been often annoyed at how difficult it was to get appointments, return phone calls, and urgent care when I needed it. So when Dr. Lickerman mentioned his new practice, I was on board immediately. As an overall healthy person, one wouldn't think you would need this type of service. But when that moment comes around, and something always does happen, having easy access to an excellent physician will be priceless. In the meantime Dr. Lickerman is easy to get a hold of, easy to schedule appointments with, and very thorough. On my first appointment he spent an hour and half giving me a physical, going through my medical history and answering any and all questions I had. For that type of service I would gladly pay a fee.

Dr. Lickerman has been my Internist for several years and I was dismayed to hear he was leaving the U of C to practice in a different way, in a different location. On paper, he's not a good location fit for me, wasn't at the U of C either, come to that. I just found that on reflection, I didn't want to give up having a doctor who treats me as if I also have a brain that functions and time that's valuable. That wouldn't be enough, of course, if he was a mediocre physician, but in my years at the U of C, I was amazed at how many of the specialists I met would tell me that he was also their physician. That speaks to his level of ability, IMO. Time will tell on the new approach, I always felt Dr. Lickerman made being his patient as easy as he could, with email and phone making a visit unnecessary on many occasions. Knowing he will be available if I have an emergency is comforting and visiting the new location is a far more comfortable experience, feeling more like a spa than a clinic.
