We purchased a children's bed which has a pull out bed below it. When we purchased the bed in-store at the Malm枚 Sv氓gertorp location, we double checked with the sales representative that all the pieces were correct and corresponded SKU's with the total package we wanted. We received assurance that it was all correct for the order to commence. Then fine.
Fast forward a few weeks later when we got delivery of it, we suddenly realized the the main bed was a shorter version because the lower insert bed was longer and did not fit into the space below. Furious of course we tried to contact ILVA customer service but it seems their customer service is not connected to the actual physical store but some central hub addressing customer service issues/ complaints. In short, they confirmed that the top bed was the shorter version and that they would replace it with the correct length and that we could continue using the bed we had until they would pick up the incorrect one AS IS. We disclosed that we no longer had the boxes for it and we were told it would be fine to collect. So we did use it and then fast forward to today when the correct bed was to arrive and of course we had issues AGAIN.
The delivery service(which is an outsourced company and not ILVA's own), started with a quite unfriendly gentleman who asked where the incorrect bed was and when we directed him to it, he immediately said he refused to claim it because it was not all boxed up. We were shocked and furious of course because ILVA never disclosed this fact and we at least needed the new bed for our 2 year old. The gentleman took a photo of the incorrect bed and seemed quite unhelpful with no suggestions. We asked him if he was bringing the correct bed and he just said that we needed to set up another time at which point we asked if he was still bringing up the correct bed to clarify and he closed the door and stormed off. At this point we were unsure if he was actually bringing the correct bed or not…but we realized that he just left after 15 minutes passed.
In summary, we paid for a product from ILVA expecting they knew what they were doing but realized they are totally incompetent as a brand, with ineffective customer service and follow up along with a broken logistics set up resulting in poor brand/ customer experience.
In short, we sit here at this very moment, furious, frustrated and peeved with a product we never wanted, with no clear way to remedy our situation except to send another flurry of emails and only hope someone at ILVA gives a hoot about an unhappy customer and actually does something about it. It's straight up robbery since we paid for a product we have still have yet to receive.
NO ONE SHOULD EVER GO THROUGH THIS POOR SERVICE. EVER.
Thanks for nothing ILVA. They don't care about it's customers. Danish hygge never meant so little…
