Awful website. Fake profiles, no response from admin. Run–don't walk away from this site. It is an absolute scam. I'm trying to cancel my membership with them now and it is impossible.
I would be happy to send TrustPilot my horrific experience of this site. As for the pseudo–I'm not getting bombarded with fake emails from the likes of these scammers.

Met a wonderful man on here, it is early days but without this site we would never have connected.

I was hopeful of meeting someone from over the pond. Naive possibly to believe this site is reputable. I first signed up in 2017 and I quickly received flirts and messages but I couldn鈥檛 reply to the messages until I was a subscribed member and paid. Once I鈥檇 done this I鈥檇 receive a message and then either the sender would not reply or would take days… slightly unusual for a dating site. I decided not to renew my subscription and then on the anniversary each year I鈥檇 get messages again to get me to sign back up which foolishly I did. I got wise this year and did my own research. How can there be 300 people online and you can only ever see max 50 people (male and female) yet be a paid premium member. Messages/flirts are thick and fast until you pay and then all contact dries up. Everyone you speak to being from all over USA are always in Florida (interesting as this is where this company is based) USA is a big country! When I asked to be deleted and refunded I was ignored. However when I changed my profile to reflect it as a fake site I got an email and was deleted immediately despite having paid in advance!!! A big fat fake of a company… steer clear if you want to meet someone genuine on the other side of the pond, save your money for a site with better morals and integrity!

I totally agree with all the negative reviews of this website experiencing the deceit of how this company works twice now over the course of a few years ,they must think people are stupid as normal conversation doesn't work like this, yes at first a flirt shows interest then a couple of lines of how are you, but never once (on both occasions) did any of the ladies ever enter into any real conversation or swap contact details, days go by without any contact whatsoever ,its so out of character people don't behave this way on dating sites , it's all a con to keep your interest going ,my guess is that the admin behind the site are sending out the flirts to make you believe that they are interested dates by using false or old profiles ,all I can say is its such a shame as this site was a great idea matching the UK to the USA but sadly it's so obviously operated by deceit I'd definitely advise you to stay away…

I was very Skeptical to begin with. I have always wanted to meet an American Lady. I thought I would give it a go. I signed straight up to Premium as Standard is very basic and within 1 week I was chatting to 2 ladies. I have gone on to exchange numbers with 1 Lady due to a great connection between us. Since then we have been talking on the phone, laughing, exchanging life stories. It has been amazing. I dont get where all these poor reviews come from. I do believe the cancelling should be easier although my premium membership is still active. Also believe an app would be great but thats alot of work. Yeah there are a couple of other little flaws but what dating site doesnt have its issues. Personally if your interested in meeting someone from the States I say 100% give it a go. Put a couple of good photos on of yourself. Fill out your description with good detail and have patience. It can be so enjoyable and exciting when you start chatting and if it leads to visits etc then fantastic. So glad i Stumbled across this website.

Again, as an ongoing update. You get the most bizzare communications from people. A really positive response, and like someone else said… they just vanish.
Now, normally you could justify this – but this has been going on during a global lockdown… and some of the messages made reference to the fact they were bored being stuck in…. strange how they then dont log in for 2 weeks straight after being highly active for a couple of days.
The next evidence these are fake messages to me is a total mix up on their part with time zones…. didnt think about that when writing… "im just going for a run and i'll be back to mark your work"….. interesting that you a) are supposed to be in California which would have made your run between 2 and 3am your time during a lockdown….
b) the person totally vanished and hasnt logged on since…. perhaps they were arrested for running at 3am in the pitch black.

Numbers and people online are 100% the best place to see the pattern of bullcr*p.
View 96 per page to view and then count down the 1st page…. biggest number I hit is 52…. then tap page 2… blank.
All this time the online counter on the home screen says between 292 and 311 online…. always in between these numbers no matter what time of day or night….
Ive been doing this regularly and you begin to see the real members…. or those who got scammed anyway…. I would suggest there are about 40 real members active on this site at best.
Adding a postive review to have something good as the most recent post wont work.
Its soooo fake and written with such biase, who and earth do you think you are kidding?

As others have correctly pointed out, full on scam.
Always between 295 and 305 people 'online'… look through the list and you can only see 50 or so who are the same 50 always online….
Messages fly in until you become a premium member then even the people you were talking to vanish.
Stinks of a scam to get members signed up.
It might be a case of trying to do it for good reason (to boost real people)… it might be to try and make some money…. but whichever way…. 98% fake.

I am writing a honest review for both I love your accent and datebritishguys websites. Fake accounts on both websites. They send fake accounts to hotlist me on datebritishguys website and when I finally upgraded my membership so I can send and read messages to my matches. No one reply back to me. This is disgusting! Stay far away from datebritishguys and I love your accent websites because they operated in a same shady way. I am surprised there are no bad reviews on the internet about datebritishguys.com. I found an exact profile member on both iloveyouraccent and datebritishguys and this member happened to hotlist me on datebritishguy first. But also send messages to me first on iloveyouraccent, I was hesitant to upgrade my membership. But since I happen to like this member's profile good enough and he found me on both websites I decided to upgrade my membership. But after I upgraded my membership on iloveyouraccent and replied his messages there, he didn't reply or even open my message on iloveyouraccent at all!!! And of course to verify how awful is datebritishguys website also, I went ahead and upgraded my membership on datebritishguys website and sent a message to this exact member, twice in different days because he is on both websites. And of course no response or reply. I even sent messages to other members on datebritishguys who sent me messages and hotlist me before. NO reply at all! So I basically wasted $35 and $20 on both websites to prove that these two websites are there for lurking people's money. But I am glad I can test these two websites out and take my time to write my honest review so no other people can get scammed by these two awful greedy shameful websites. If my $55 dollars can help other people from troubles, I am more than happy to do that. Remember! Even the datebritishguys website has only a few bad reviews on the internet, and seems more organized and legitimate. It's an equally BAD website with fakes accounts to grab your money only! Don't let these websites fool you! I believed at one point these so called fake accounts might be real but they quickly deleted their accounts on both websites after they learned there are only a few real members on these websites but these dishonest websites keep their profile pictures and use different emails by their staffs to lurk people to pay membership to message these members or use these recreated fake accounts to send out messages to potential new users on both of these websites to scam people's money! Stay far far away and don't ever register on any of these two websites. Datebritishguy and iloveyouraccent are SHADY companies!!!!

Same as other reviewers. I get plenty of flirts and first messages (I'm an attractive, high-quality woman), but when I respond to their notes, no one opens my messages. The one or two people that have opened my replies always ask the same question, "How are you?" and then never login or read my reply.
Also, at the beginning of January 2020, I noticed that quite a few profiles hadn't been used in a while (four to six months since their last login). Then, suddenly, every single profile showed 1/20/2020 as the last login date. I think the owner of the site updates profiles automatically to make it look like people are active.
And the site always shows 250+ people "online now" but when I actually search the online profiles, there are usually only 40 or so people. I do think there are a few "real" people like me signing up, so there may be a few genuine connections made, but most guys are either (1) not active, (2) they all believe that the best approach is to message once then disappear, (3) they aren't on the site anymore but the web owner is pretending to be them (this seems most likely), or (4) almost all of them aren't serious about getting to know anyone. Either way, I don't recommend this site. Too bad, it is a good idea!

All I can say is that it has worked for us…. I was on there 4 months and he was on there only 1 month. We Talked for about 8 weeks on there and whats app and when we knew we had that connection we decided to meet. It was not easy doing the LDR but we persevered and now we are together.

HORRIBLE WEBSITE! Didn't find anyone. But their website is horrible and unintuitive. There's no way to cancel. They kept charging me through Paypal even AFTER I took my bank account off Paypal! SHADY SNEAKY company. Now I have to go through my bank and Paypal to get my money back from this shady company. DO NOT USE THEM.

EDIT: When cancelling, make sure to call Paypal because they just keep charging you autodraft through Paypal guest checkout. They just tell you to delete your bank info, but that doesn't stop the charges. Paypal has to stop it, so call them.

I have been on love your accent for at least 4 months and I have found it to be a total scam people contact you with great enthusiasm then suddenly vanish with no further communication. I was recently told that the company is using old profiles to send fake messages to people to keep them. Paying I have never experienced anythi g like this before on other sites I was very disappointed I joined because I wanted to meet an. American man. I've also heard it is, hard to cancel and I will probably hav to cancel my card in order to stop payments going through I feel so cheated its disgraceful I feel I have been robbed

Once you have joined the website,it is difficult to cancel your membership renewal due to poor website functionality.(as membership renewal is automatic)

In the end i had to cancel my debit card with my bank in order to stop any future payments.

Footnote :
i did not avoid paying as i became a member and hence paid the membership fee…..the issue is once you have decided NOT TO renew your membership it is difficult to cancel and ensure that NO more money will be taken via your debit card.

Other websites have the functionality that allows you to stop the automatic renewal of your membership

If you make the decision to join this website,please make sure that you KNOW HOW to CANCEL or STOP the automatic membership renewal process,as in my experience,it is not straight forward.

Instead of contesting a clients experience rather put energies into fixing the problem.

I've been on I love your accent for a while now and when I paid for membership twice by accident I tried to get a refund by emailing the admin.i got no reply at all and PayPal didn't help matters. Anyway I got replys but it was like one reply every 3 weeks or sometimes months. But as soon as my membership ran out I got 28 emails in one night suspicious is an understatement.

I've been a paid subscription member for several months now and am very discouraged at the negative reviews here but they have confirmed my suspicions that there are many fake profiles on the site. I have no issues getting flirts and first messages. I respond and the messages never get opened. Dozens upon dozens of unopened messages on my sent messages. How does one explain that?
