This company sold me a rental car booking on 11/16/20 stating I paid in full (minus a small amount to be paid in person) as all fees were included, but when I went to pick up the rental car from Value Cars on 12/6/20 I was forced to pay an additional non-avoidable $35.91 RSA fee for roadside assistance which I did not agree to in order for them to release the car. Value cars said it was holiday car's fault for not disclosing this required fee. I have been emailing holiday cars, but they are pushing it back at value cars. However, I created the booking through holiday cars, so they are liable.

This is an awful company. DO NOT USE.
Holiday cars are basically an agency or broker enabling you to hire a car with several companies. Sounds good right? They advertise 鈥榝ree amendments' 鈥?amazing. Except, that is not what happens鈥?br />
In order to amend your booking, you must cancel your previous one, then make a new booking. Ok, sounds fair enough, except you must pay for the new booking, and wait 21 days for a refund for your first booking. During Covid19 my flights were changed 3 times by the airplane operator, which meant three bookings through Holiday cars, totalling just over 拢900 (for 1 week car hire), eventually when I complained I was able to get a refund on the two 鈥榓mended' bookings.
However, when I was finally stumped by quarantine restrictions and unable to travel, I was hit with a 25% administration fee for cancelling the car hire. 拢90 to Holiday Cars. More fool me for using this company. I hope you read this review and use any other company by Holiday Cars. Terrible experience, terrible customer service, terrible communication. Please don't use this company, for your own sake.

DANGEROUS Very irresponsible service, some of their partners are very dangerous and taking money from you without reason. I contacted them for refund, and after 10 days they still never answer. Its very dangerous, if you believe that you will save money with them, at the end you will pay much more because of their partners. AVOID

I decided to cancel my holiday due to COVID19. HolidayCars charged me 拢174 for cancelling. This amount of money bares no resemblance to the cost of processing my cancellation. They point to a clause in their booking conditions which I had never read. I got to HolidayCars via Kayak and I regard Kayak as having a duty of care to me to protect me from rip-off charges – they didn't. Kayak make millions and offer nothing to consumers

I typical don't write bad reviews and try to travel as cheap as i can. PLEASE listen to me when i tell you this is the WORST company to deal with. They are slow to respond and when they do, they dodge your question. Their booking system is horrible. Also, if you cancel, they will give you a credit but it may take forever or may just never show up on their website. please do yourself a favor and steer clear of them

We rent a car with HolidayCars.com
Webpage is very good and it was our first time in our company.
Serbian car rental company was not friendly and try to cheat us with extra charges.They charged our credit card about 1000 EUR. But Holiday Cars team handled the case very good. We received the payment back from them.

I had to cancel because of Covid19. I had purchased cancellation insurance and still they will only give me a voucher for my deposit of 385 dollars.
I will contact my credit card company tomorrow.
I will not use this company again.
The total rental was much cheaper than others but the saying you get what you pay for turns out to be true again.

I had written a review stating that the company said I would receive a voucher instead of a refund for my cancellation due to the Pandemic.
I wrote them a third email again stating that I had purchased cancellation insurance.
They then stated that a refund would be processed for my deposit minus the cost of insurance.
I am happy to say my refund was processed back to my credit card.
I want to thank Holiday Car Rental for doing the right thing.

I can't believe this company is still operating. Companies like this one literally deserved to be shut down and out of business. The people who run this company should be thrown in jail and i am not over exagerrating either. Look at all the reviews regarding the pandemic. They are refusing refunds on car rentals that were clearly cancelled due to the pandemic. You think during a crisis they would be showing the utmost best customer service bust instead it is the complete opposite. They are doing everthing they can to hold and refuse people their money back and that is exactly what they did with me.

First you can't even speak to someone, they shut off their phone line so you can only email. I emailed them hours before my car rental. i didn't think their would be an issue obviously because of the pandemic. They followed up with me the next day saying i emailed them hours after my car rental which is completely false. My pick up was 12:30, i emailed them 915am in minnesota. They are one hour a head. This is sickening.

I would urge every single person to leave a bad review, report them to the business bureau and attorney general. These guys should be SUED!!! ABSURD!!

Scammers and very poor customer care
Had to cancel due to coronavirus. Firstly I tried to amend my booking to a different date and was quoted a similar price, but after confirming the booking, then it told me the insurance I had already added was more money again, so I cancelled and was offered a voucher for full amount. When cancelling I then was given only amount 65% of payment amount as they took off the extra it would have cost for further insurance. When I asked them about the voucher offer I had initially requested they said they could not backtrack on a refund even though this wasn't what I had requested. I will never use this company again and have informed everyone I know who travels to stay away. They are also the only company I know scamming people during this pandemic rather than offering good customer care.

This company is horrible. Had to cancel car rental due to Pandemic. I purchased cancellation insurance, I never do this, but it did not matter. This company uses what ever excuse and twist things in their favor to not help people at all. I know one thing, when this is done, things will get back to normal eventually, I will not rent anything from this company again, I will go else where.

Also, I notice in between all this bad reviews, some very good reviews, which is so obvious that they are all fakes. Shame on you Holidaycars!!! I don't understand how a scamming company like this able to operate.

This is a European based company and they do not accommodate the advice of US government health officials (federal, state or local) on Covid-19 when handling US-based reservations. My husband had contacted them multiple times to refund his upcoming pre-paid car rental in Orlando, but HolidayCars has refused to provide the full refund he requested.

The need to cancel his car reservation is not due to personal preference but because of the coronavirus pandemic. I am writing this on March 29. The resort he booked from April 6-10 has closed and his reservation was canceled. He has no place to stay in Florida! In addition, his age (67), reduced immunity from cancer treatments and diabetes means that he is at high risk of Covid-19 complications and his medical providers have advised him not to leave home for the next few months.

HolidayCars offered to credit my husband with a future rental but this company is not trustworthy, and we will not do business with them again. From now on, we will rent directly from an AMERICAN car rental company which are known for providing superior customer service. I advise all other Americans to do the same!

I rented a car through them for my annual vacation. Everything was fine until the Governor of Nevada closed all the hotels due to the corvid-19 virus, this cancelled my trip so I tried to cancel my reservation. They allowed me to cancel it but charged me a 25% cancellation fee. They say it is in my paper work but I have it all and it is not. There is even a place that says to "Please carefully read the supplier's rental agreement to make sure you fully understand it before signing." I did read it multiple times and still have a copy, this fee is not in there.

There is another place where it says "..we have listed on your voucher what the price paid to HolidayCars.com includes and what it does not include." All the voucher says it includes is a car and excludes collision damage. No where does it say there is a cancellation fee or the ability to avoid it but buying something – which they now say I should have bought.

They are talking advantage of this disaster and are thieves and liars that are making up stuff after the fact.

I made a car reservation with HolidayCars in mid-Feb and have to cancel subsequently because of the coronavirus pandemic. I have asked HolidayCars to relax their cancellation policy, but they insisted to charge me 25% cancellation fee on the amount paid which is the normal cancellation fee rate.

I requested a full refund due to the fact that I had to cancel my travel plans due to the national emergency on the corona virus. I contacted Holiday Cars/mobility rental group requesting a refund and they refused. Why is it that the airlines allowed for flights to be re-scheduled at no cost but, rental car agencies didn't? Due to their unbending and unyielding stance, I strongly urge everyone to use a different company that is more understanding and customer friendly.

Lots of hidden conditions; it turns out they don't offer competitive rentals; no information on potential additional costs.
1. they make you think you purchase insurance, where it's only part of it, and you have to pay again for another insurance when renting the car
2. it's written unlimited km everywhere, they don't tell you anything when renting the car, but when returning the car, they explain to you that you're limited to 200km a day – it's written in the conditions, not in the first one, in a second condition mentioned a few paragraphs later.
Go to another car rental website, which is not playing on the words, apply competitive conditions, and don't tell you at the last minute that there are additional costs for about … everything!

I used holydaycars.com because it was a cheap option. Wrong decision!
They subcontracted a third party, ACE car rental. When I arrived to get my car
They didn't have any car available and they didn't know what time they would have one.
We waited for 2 hours with no luck and the worst service. I ended up renting a car from a different rental car service at the airport. I filed a claim and they only paid me back $80 out of $650 I paid for the service, a service I didn't get. Do not use this website!

Holiday cars is a inexpensive way to rent a car. Once you rent through them they appreciate your business and offer you discounts for future rentals. Whenever I have had any kinds of issue with the discount they have always been very helpful in resolving any issues.

Arrived late at hire car desk after flight delays due to storm chiara to find car hire cancelled.
We did inform them about the delays via phone and email and even suplied them with prove of these.
We are STILL waiting for our refund 8 days later. Staff completely unwilling to help and rude.
We are frequent travellers and will never use this company again and will tell EVERYBODY not to use them.
