Bought an i7 Toshiba Laptop from Gultronics in April 2013 for around 拢600. Backlit keyboard could not switch on. Store Manager promised to get the engineer to call me for guidance on the issue. They never call me. The next day I found that the laptop had a lot vibration when charging, an USB port was damaged and DVD drive was faulty. I returned to Gultronics soon after to raise all the issues. They have been the rudest human being I have ever come across and they have not accepted to refund nor exchange the laptop.
I have been advised to follow a legal claim under consumer rights.
PLEASE PLEASE NEVER GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY PRIOR TO HAVING A GUARRANTY IN WRITING FOR REFUND OR EXCHANGE IF ANY ISSUES. THEY ARE FOR SURE THE PEOPLE TO BE AVOIDED IF POSSIBLE

Gultronics, possibly the worst store ever to exist, I have never been so insulted in my life. Why do I say this? On the 4/02/2013 I requested a exchange on a item that I bought from them, the item was missing a major component, without the component the item was unusable, I looked around the store and I noticed that they had two other products that were the same as mine and I asked could I exchange this one for the same one behind their counter.

As soon as I said that I was hurled with abuse, they claimed the item is 'sold as seen' however I was told the item was brand new with everything present(Fraud in mind) however this was not the case as said above, I told them that you have sold me a product that states ''Includes a 5GB HD drive''. The boss just kept shouting 'SOLD AS SEEN', and I said go check the stock behind the counter open it up and bingo a HD was in the bottom of the box, I asked kindly if they would just give me the missing part, but no they kept insisting on the sold as seen bullcrap.

Then they tell me to go to trading Standards, however I told them,I'll report you for deception and fraud soon as I said that, he grabs the main unit and smashes it on the ground and then tells me ''I'll give you a refund but never return to this store, we don't want your money'' then says ''Give me your f*cking credit card'' (swipes it from my hand) shoves it into the terminal machine and gives it back the same why he took it. I leave the store with utter disgust, banned from a store for something that otherwise would never warrant such action.

I have heard that Gultronics had some bad rep but never to this extreme, dirty tricks, lying thief's and law breaking scum. If you need something go to currys at the bottom of Tottenham Court Road.

I was reassured my laptop could be fixed and that it'll cost me 拢50 + VAT plus the cost of the part to fix it. Then they told me they couldn't get hold of the part so they couldn't fix it but they refused to give me any money back. We will never use them again at the office and I'm considering reporting them to Trading Standards.

Went to Gultronics to try and get my computer fixed, which involved re-installing windows and rebooting my computer. The sales there said he knew what I was talking about. I stressed to him I did not have a recovery disc and asked if I will have to pay additional charges and he assured me no. So I paid 拢57.50 which he stated will include everything. Later I get a call from them saying I need to pay additional charges for the recovery disc. When I refused to pay and wanted a refund, they said this is not possible as the fee was to cover a so-called "diagnostic test"!

So I have paid them 拢57 to get a "diagnostic test" (which I have told them what was wrong with my comp) and nothing was fixed in the end.

A lot of hidden costs and untrustworthy people. Sales also told me to stop barking.

A waste of time, effort and money, got insulted and stressed in return. AVOID

Check out some of the consumer friendly policies and small print…. 25% restocking fee….. 拢57.50 non refundable diagnoses (so you pay for a 'repair' even if they botch it)…. I feel so stupid all the signs were there. The salesmen view you as victis not customers.

Save yourself the time, the stress and the money.

If I could just stick the boot in with Gultronics as well.

Like others – feel embarrassed to have went there. Went to get some laptop RAM – explained it was for an old laptop and that I needed DDR1 -gave them the exact specs I needed – not DDR2.

They gave me DDR2 anyway. Easy enough to fix – I thought. They then denied all knowledge when I brought it back. Lots and lots of shouting from them; claiming I'd broken the RAM; that they couldn't give refunds etc etc.

After about 25 minutes of this, I spotted a yellowing "Returned goods are subject to a 25% restocking fee" sign on the wall. When I pointed this out in front of customers waiting to be served, after some more whining, they eventually relented.

Went and bought the RAM I needed on Amazon and it arrived the next day. Lesson learned. Do hope they get taken out by the credit crunch.
