Had the Air Ram and ok with it. Bought Gtech Multi. Habdchrkd needs constant charging and one of the attachments falls off I use no matter how hard you push it on. Also the upright vac still spits out hard bits the same as previous model. Dont think will be purchasing this brand in the future.

Bought a Hoover and started off fine but only 8 months later it was making a horrible screeching noise out of nowhere. I called the company and said it did not fall under there guarantee as it was no purchased through one of the specifically listed companies. Lady was fine on the phone but seemed to guess what the problem was and charged us 80 pounds for the replacement. Going to just pay a little extra and get a Dyson now as the quality is very poor and very disappointing.

Bought GTech air ram mk 2 three years, in that time it has had to have a new bin part, and now it won鈥檛 work at all, got a new battery which cost 拢 60.00, but it still won鈥檛 work. It won鈥檛 switch on, it is the power button that has gone. Not very impressed, as I鈥檝e had a dyson over 20 years and that is still working ant fallen apart. These are not made very well. If I can鈥檛 get this repaired. I will be choosing another from someone else.

We bought a Gtech cleaner having heard it was the best cordless vacuum cleaner. To start with it seemed to work ok with the rotary brush in place. However on emptying it and cleaning it I tried it without the rotary Brush and there was just no suck almost useless. Having tried a second one this is what they are like so basically very poor. Shame as it could have been made so much better. Do not waste your money

I have got to say since getting the Gtech MK2 as a Christmas gift I love it gets all the dust and dirt up from the floor, I have had a couple of problems wheels and also the clicking of the handle back and too think it鈥檚 called the yolk. Customer service what can I say is the best! Everything sorted out no problems just a pleasure to deal with. I am even considering buying an EBike from them now knowing how good the aftercare is!

We had the AirRam for nearly two years. It worked correctly for the first year, after which we had trouble switching it on and we had to press the button with our hand, else it wouldn't work. Now the extension handle has come off and won't go back in, and the only way to use it is by bending over. Are you serious! Now I understand why all of my friends have a Dyson! In the past I owned an Electrolux and a Bosh and they lasted some 25 years.

Had a problem after 20 months. Money being refunded. A pleasure to deal with them. Loved the machine. Might even buy another…………..

We purchased the GTECH ATF024 model around 3 years ago, and have never been massively impressed with the suction power. It was ok for light use, but never came close to the cleaning power of our Dyson model!

In the last 6 months we鈥檝e started to get the common fault with the power button that鈥檚 been widely reported on this forum. If your unit develops the same fault, then the good news is that its fairly simple to rectify without the extortionate 拢70 charge from GTECH!

Remove the battery pack (for obvious safety reasons) and then pop out the entire on/off switch section with a thin screwdriver. The front switch portion itself can then be separated using the same screwdriver (just pop the two retaining clips) and this will reveal the micro switch and spring that operates it.
The problem doesn鈥檛 seem to be with the microswitch itself, but with the spring. Due to a design fault it doesn鈥檛 actually operate the microswitch very well as it seems that the switch can slip 鈥榠nside鈥?it when you push it down, rather than actually getting clicked on.
The easy fix for this is remove the spring, and then using some long nose pliers, just give the spring a gentle squeeze on one end to bend it out of shape slightly. This will now mean when depressed the spring will contact with the microswitch far better.
Refit all the parts, re-install the battery and you鈥檙e all set for many more months of under powered suction. 馃檪
(That is until the battery fails or one of the other seemingly common faults with this unit!)

Gtech mk2 hoover . First the upright failed, and then after 8 months the motor burnt out.

My mark 2 version has broken three times now, I had to buy spare parts online and fix it myself, as they refused to honour the warranty. Most major retailers now refuse to stock Gtech products because of the appalling quality of the products and lack of customer service. That says it all. John Lewis dump them years ago.

I've bought 3 Gtech cleaners since 2011, and all have been great. AirRam Mk1, the handheld multi & AirRam Mk2. I gave the Mk1 away to a friend when I got the Mk2 (the Mk1 had a couple of makeshift minor repairs by then). Suction power from the AirRams is excellent as is battery life. I did have an early problem with poor battery life on the Mk1 but Gtech supplied a replacement under warranty (it was the first year). No problems with the other 2 devices as yet. I've had the Multi for 5 years now and replaced the filter late last year as the original was a bit dog-eared. The one I got was from ebay and a fair bit cheaper than the equivalent from Gtech; it works fine but I've noticed I need to clean it under the cold tap more often to maintain suction performance.
I've seen a surprising amount of very negative reviews on this site, many complaining about the wheels and the motor (never had issues with either on mine), and many of these reviews have a suspiciously common theme, always steering away from Gtech and towards Dyson e.g. 'I bought the Gtech but very disappointed because of x and y so got a dyson'. It makes me think there's a lot of fake reviews here. I used to have a handheld Dyson which lasted about 7 years and had slightly better suction power, but half the battery life of the multi. the newer Dyson handleds now have much better battery life than the old ones but are a lot more expensive than the Gtech multi, which i think is better value for money.

I really wanted to like the mk2 hoover and handheld but after 2 years I conclude their poor value. The handheld suction is simply rubbish – I鈥檝e tried several replacements parts to no avail. It simply is rubbish.
The hoover did well until recently As it is very light and nimble (had to change two wheels previously but no big issue) but now the battery has failed I鈥檝e given up and going back to a dyson.

I have bought three Gtech products now and I wish I hadn't. The first was a strimmer where the blades kept flying off, and (of course) you could only buy expensive replacements from Gtech.

The second was a hand-held multi with no suction at all, so that was replaced with a Dyson.

The third was an AirRam MK1 which ate through 3 batteries in as many years. So that equates to an initial purchase price of 拢200 for the hoover, and 拢79.00 for each battery (which of course can only be purchased from them). That's 拢437 I've paid now for a rubbish product.

Don't do it. The reviews are all true.I truly believe that they have engineered redundancy into the product to maximise their after-sales revenue on spares.

A Client of mine recently purchased both the AirRram Vacuum and the Hand held version after a recommendation. I've been using these products ( or should I say, trying to use) since the beginning of the year. Both are totally inadequate and quite frankly, not fit for purpose.
The upright has such a huge cumbersome head that you can only use in an open area of floor. No use in a home that has inconvenient things like tables and chairs. It cannot pick up anything that might be slightly adhering to the floor, eg dust and small particles as the suction is so poor.
I thought that was bad, until I tried the handheld vacuum. The suction on that was virtually non existent! I just wish I'd started with her before she bought this. I'd go for a Shark or Dyson any day!

Where do I start…..Oh yes! Do not waste your money on G-Tech vacuum cleaners.
Although not cheap, they are cheap & nasty.
We originally purchased an Air Ram MK1 & a hand held in a bundle.
The hand held has very little suction & is ineffective. Constantly getting new parts sent out on warranty but to no avail.
The MK1 was much the same, didn鈥檛 really pick up the dust properly. Several new parts later & it was still useless. Finally the battery would not take a charge & being out of warranty it bit the dust (for the first time in its life)
Complained to G-Tech & was told there was nothing they could do
They convinced me that the MK2 Air Ram was a much improved machine & offered me an excellent price….yes! I was sucked in.
Guess what, it鈥檚 rubbish!
It is really easy to use & move around the house, that鈥檚 all it鈥檚 good at.
It lacks power, the bin system is messy & doesn鈥檛 completely contain the dirt & dust, it actually spits out dust over the carpets while using it.
I have to pick up what鈥檚 left behind which defeats the object,
I empty the bin after every use.
I clean the filter after every use
I鈥檝e now been advised to regularly wash the bin out which I do.
And to regularly clean out the roller which I do.
None of the above works.
They sent me out a new motor which is the main unit, no change.
Last chance saloon….they are sending out a new bin.
Next stage, it鈥檚 likely to end up in the bin – DON鈥橳 WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!

Cannot believe all the bad reviews about Gtech and its products. We have had the Gtech air ram system for over a year and have had no problems. They are the best cleaners we have ever bought.Recently I have purchased the K9 system for our son and did have a slight problem with the ordering. However on contacting the Customer Service the problem was not only sorted out but to more than my expectation.Yesterday I was asked by a friend who was having a problem with her cleaner to contact the Customer Service.Again the problem was quickly solved and a new part was ordered and is to be delivered today. You can't ask for better service than that.Well done Julie at Customer Service and thanks.

Gtech Air Ram 2 Multi handheld. We purchased the Air ram AR20 Mk2 with the Multi a few years ago, however have just started to use the Multi as we had a Dyson hand held. We were extremely disappointed to find out it had no or very little suction. Contacting Gtech they told us the warranty had expired which to be honest we knew, it was our fault we had not tested it earlier. I have had to purchase a new body inc postage of 拢44.00 but we are not convinced this will make any difference. I have never posted anything before but we have to say this is the worst purchase we have ever made and we would not recommend Gtech under any circumstances. Over priced rubbish.

Just sharing as It鈥檚 partly my own fault for not doing something beforehand. Sadly too late now to get it sorted.
I definitely wouldn鈥檛 recommend a Gtech AirRam K9!
It鈥檚 useless on a longer pile rug as it cuts out and now emits a strong burning smell after about 10 minutes of using.
It鈥檚 out of warranty so would have to pay around 拢80 for a new part. I cut my losses and purchased a reconditioned Dyson.
My son uses it as his bedroom is tiny so it doesn鈥檛 need to be on for long and even then it鈥檚 not great.
My advice,at the first sign of uselessness get in touch with GTech.

Recently purchased the Gtech power floor. This product is lightweight but dont expect it to vacuum your whole house as a four hour battery charge only allows 20 minutes cleaning. And apparently this is a normal occurance! Never once has the run time been advertised and this is obviously why.

The best vacuum I have owned. I used my corded Miele vacuum first and then went over with my new gtech. I was amazed as it collected so much hair and dog hair and sand (I live by the sea) and dust. I thought my Miele was good and just wanted an easy lightweight cordless vacuum and have been so impressed with the gtech. Good battery life, lightweight and easy to use and does a good vacuuming of the carpet and tiled areas. Simply the best!
