Ordered a trolley from this company at 拢198.98
He rang me once the order was placed, sweet talking, how often you played etc. when he said the battery supplied was not very good and reports have been made they cut out and recommended a German battery instead with a 3 year guarantee much better than the 6 month guaranteed offered. This is not what his advert read but I did not query this at the time. I said no I would stick to the original order to which he then said he could not meet this and I assumed he did not have the original battery. He went on to say he would refund the money. Two days later I checked money not refunded so I phoned the company. Same gentleman answered explaining it would be refunded as his accounts were on furlough and she would be back on Monday. The refund should reach me within 10 days. Watch this space. In the meantime I looked back at his site and it is advertising the same unit, same model at 拢227.95. My gut feeling is that this company advertises at a very competitive price and then almost pressure sales you into paying more. He is sweet talking, rude tells lies and I feel a poor trader but good at boiler room practice. Buyer beware.

After ordering a Pro Rider golf trolley I then noticed some very poor reviews of the service provided and became worried.

I should not have been – the trolley arrived when Greg told me it would and I'm delighted with both the product and the service provided.

Have no fears about buying from him.

IM AT A LOSS
Not sure if I got a great deal or I've been totally duped, maybe someone can enlighten me.
I ordered a red and white electric pro rider golf trolley on line to match my golf bag, at a very competitive price of 拢198 which I thought was a good deal,and paid by card straight away.
About a hour later i got a call from Mr Nicholson who give me all the spill regarding who he was and how experienced and knowledgeable he was regarding golf and i had no qualms to disbelieve the man as he was the pro and owner of the store.
He advised me that if i was going to play 2 or 3 times a week, ( I'm retired ) that i should upgrade the battery to a lithium one as the battery that comes with the cart is a lead battery and wouldnt last the distance.
He said the cost would be a further 拢99 and he would upgrade the trolley to a metallic Mercedes silver trolley which being totally ignorant i thought he was being so helpful and knowledgeable, I agreed and paid the extra amount. I asked him when it will come and he said within a few days, and to be fair, that it did.
The 拢99 went up to 拢110 for some reason, or that's what was taken from my account, but hey ho, what's 拢10 when your expecting a brilliant trolley to come anyways it turned up and yes the trolley looked great, not any red, but nice silver paintwork as stated.
The problem was that the battery that came with it was a lead battery and not a lithium that he advised and charged extra for.
I got on the phone to him and asked if he had sent the lithium battery separately and he claimed he never said a lithium as that would be 拢2-300 more, then he said that lead batteries come in 3 different grades and that battery was the middle grade and will more than survice.
My after thought was and still is, have I been totally duped or what, as I paid 拢310 for neither the original trolley I ordered or the lithium battery that I didn't need, can anybody advise or put me straight?

Bought an item online. Returned it on 30 December within 14 days of receipt. Tracking information shows it was signed for. In line with the online distance selling regulations a refund should be issued within 14 days. Its now been 5 weeks and despite a number of emails he won't return my money. When he does respond he makes excuses such as "the request is with the accounts team"

Ordered a pair of size 7 shoes then never heard a thing till I called to see when they were coming. He never had them yet accepted order and cash ! Being trying to get a refund since before Xmas and there is always an excuse why no refund. I would def avoid. About to contact my credit card company !!

Want to balance up some of the reviews on here. Bought set of irons, woods and a bag from Greg last month. Had a "fitting" in the shop, which is a measure rather than a club try out. The "measure" by Greg came up with the same results that I had had from a Ping Demo day two weeks earlier in terms of loft, grip size and club length. Some tweaks made at my request and bought a mix of new and nearly new clubs to fit my budget. The new clubs were comparable price wise to American golf ….and if I can, I like to support small independent traders. Greg is knowledgeable and helpful….lots of sales skills apparent which may put some folk off. But the goods arrived, well presented and on time. I am a long standing golfer, 12 handicap, so know my way around golf gear…..happy with the deal and service I got.

Just dropped off my yonex golf clubs
He gave me some great advice re gripping and checking the balance
He has his own personal problems but still smiles and still gives good customer service

I was impressed by the professional advice and the choice of equipment. Great advice on my Taylormades and cant wait go try them out. Thanks again Greg

After a short chat with Mr Nicholson its come to light a 3rd party let him down by not calling myself re a item we had from his shop the matter has now been resoled thanks to the hard work Greg did many thanks

Total 110% cowboy after buying a pair of shoe that he said are water proof they are not very in light rain your feet are wet straight away the second thing was a GPS watch a golf buddy WTX + after taking it back to the shop ( not working ) he said I鈥檒l get the company to call me I rang them after waiting for a call the for a couple of days they did a new software re load plus a new card it鈥檚 now work no thanks to Mr Nicholson

I have never heard so much BS from one person in such a short time. He will say anything to get a sale. He speaks with such confidence, you trust him, but be aware, it is most likely BS.

Great customer service from greg Nicholson. Had a dodgy bit of equipment and he was on the phone to his supplier and within 2 days I had a replacement delivered to my door. Excellent mate, cheers.

I have used Greg for about 12 months and find him easy to deal with.A man with an excellent knowledge of golf and extremely helpful.He has sorted out much of my golf and the clubs I have purchased have been totally as described and of a good quality.I notice that several persons have given a poor review but all I can say is that you never get anything for nothing and although there are always cheaper deals in the market you get what you pay for.Keep up the good work Greg

This is by far the worst company I have EVER used, The owner who has two names by the way just in case he needs to squirm out of things at a later date is amongst other things a total Liar.

My father has been a customer of Greg鈥檚 for 30 plus years. Throughout that time he has always provided honest and appropriate advice as his years advanced. My father bought all his golfing equipment from Greg and always preferred the face to face discussions and getting a good deal. This past 6 months my wife and I decided to get a full set of clubs, bags, electric trolleys each. We spent half a day with Greg assessing our individual needs and getting measured up for our custom settings. We both found Greg to be a very knowledgable golfer as well as a pleasant and affable person to deal with. At no time were we under any sales pressure and he afforded us his experienced based advice and although we spent a four figure sum between us we felt we had concluded a good deal. Well done Greg and keep up the traditional values that makes visiting your shop such a pleasure!

Been using Greg's shop for a long time now, he always has the best prices i seem to find if not he's very willing to match any other competition. His shop is well stocked, i found a driver i wanted on the website and he had it in stock ready for me to collect the next day. I traveled up and down the country to find a well priced and honest golf expert, i save a tonne of time and money since I've been going to Greg, he can always get any product you want even if he doesn't stock it!

This shop is a total con, he preys on the novice or uneducated golfer. He doesn鈥檛 have prices on products and then charges up to double the prices you鈥檇 pay in other more reputable golf shops.

Check prices online before you buy anything from him. He his like a car salesman working in a golf shop. I wish I鈥檇 seen reviews about him before getting sucked into his charm and well versed sales technique.

I have bought several things of Greg in the last 2 yrs he was most helpful and very professional in telling me what was best this guy knows his stuff so don鈥檛 listen to people who doubt this guy I have recommended many people to him and all are happy so far thanks for the advice Greg I鈥檓 playing better than ever now cheers ian Scotland

Greg was extremely helpful whilst trying to close the deal. However once he had my cash for a full set of ping clubs he did not want to know!! He should be selling used cars from a motorway layby!!

I recently bought an M4 3 wood from Greg Nicholson golf at Blakemere outlet village, not only did I receive great advice about the different options available but he bettered the price from any other supplier. There鈥檚 also a great range of clubs and equipment in the shop. I will be back soon.

Can鈥檛 agree with last small-minded reviewer – everyone makes genuine mistakes sometimes. I called the shop for some advice on a Lynx bag and clubs for my wife who鈥檚 new to golf. Greg spent half an hour advising me on the various options, he is extremely knowledgeable, and at the end of it I felt confident enough to order a complete set over the phone. Greg committed to delivery to Coventry on a set day and everything arrived exactly as agreed, packaged really well. I also ordered an additional set of clubs for myself to take abroad, and again, these arrived exactly as promised. The costs Greg quoted were better than I could get elsewhere either online or from my local shop. Overall I can鈥檛 find anything to complain about at all, and would highly recommend Greg Nicholson golf to anyone. Just ignore previous review! Nick M, Coventry

Recently bought a shirt from the man himself, who told me it was "on offer at the moment". Purchased the shirt and got it home only to find he had charged me more than RRP. The man is a shark. Steer well clear

I recently visited the store, and WOW what a great exprience! Greg certainly knows his stuff, amazing service and he really takes his time in valuing each one of his customers. I brought a number of items off Greg whilst Christmas shopping at Blakemere, and his range of golfing equipment is fantastic. I wanted a light weight golf buggy for my father in law and Greg really took his time in showing me which different styles would be suitable. He even offered to have me one sent out to my home address the next day as it would not fit in my car. Outstanding service and great golf store. Definitely be returning!

A really extensively stocked shop with many golf and leisure products. Greg knows his stuff and is always happy to help – he gave me some expert advice on what and how I could improve my game. Loved the clubs, trolley and jacket I got from him. Will definitely be back soon!
