this "greetings from" Chicago mural Is a must see for tourist spots to hit up and for locals to enjoy, this is truly a piece of art. in each letter of of Chicago it has images of what Chicago is known for such has the sports teams, pizza & hot dogs, skylines just to name a few.

you can find this mural in an empty parking and hope that there isn't any cars blocking the mural, if there isn't any cars blocking and its nice out then your good to get some really good pictures.

this mural is Located about a block away from the California Blue Line station.

here is a travelers tip: if your coming from ORD airport make this a stop if your heading towards the Chicago loop, make sure to buy daily pass if your taking mass transit through out the day it can really help if your getting on or getting off the train or bus if your looking to make stops around Chicago to see things like this.

*The five stars are for Chicago's collective building murals as a whole.
It should be noted that although it's a neat addition, this 'Chicago' mural is on the lower end of the awesome scale when it comes to building-side artwork in the city.

Within a two mile radius of this sign you can find an outstanding mural of Robin Williams, Vivian Maier, Hebru Brantley, Ghandi…and a slew of other greats. Not to mention the thousands of other great murals within Chicago city limits. I've posted many to my flickr account in my 'signs & murals' collection. Most photo's are mapped so you can find them: https://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/albums/72157626743689844

So I like visiting the Greetings From murals in whichever city has it. This mural wasn't hard to find at all. It was in an abandoned parking lot and luckily there weren't any cars around or people so my friends and I got to take a lot of pictures with it. The area seemed kind of sketchy but it was fine. I'm glad I got to visit!

Lived 45 min from Logan square my whole life and just came here a week ago. I've been around the area a few times and didn't know how close it was!

Each group took turns taking pictures. Everyone was respectful of each other. I love how the mural looks and how each letter accurately describes Chicago (s/o to the ketchup-less hotdog and deep dish pizza)!

We took a few pictures for a young family and vice versa. Luckily we got there before a big bus came! The only bad part was that there was a big truck at the end of the mural. It seems to be there often? (Based on previous reviews)

Must visit when in Chicago! 😀

We jumped in the train and took a short walk to the sign. A truck was parked at the end of the sign which was a bummer but very bright and nice sign

If it wasn't for Yelp, i woundn't have known where this mural was located! I typed "things to do" on the search engine, read through the list, and recognized the mural! I GPSed the location and I felt silly how many times I've overlooked it! I snapped this picture (located in Logan Square neighborhood) in the parking lot next to the mural. It's near California Avenue blue line.

Each letter has drawing inside that are unique in Chicago. Below is the letter guide I copy and pasted from the website from the artists. Do check out the website and read their journey in creating this art piece.

Letter Guide:

C – Deep Dish Pizza & Chicago Style Hotdog

H – Gold Coast / Downtown Skyline

I – Chicago Flag &聽Illinois Centennial Monument in Logan Square

C -聽Abstract artwork by Amuse126 depicting the extremes of聽Chicago weather

A – Chicago Professional Sports Teams

G – Muddy Waters & Ferris Bueller's Day Off Water Tower

O – The Bean Sculpture

This mural is so iconic, especially if you're into the 'gram (that's instagram, for you uncool folks). I always wondered where people took these mural pictures, and lo and behold, there's a Yelp listing for it!

Located about a block from the California Blue Line station, this mural is in an empty parking lot (not sure you can really park in it), near the Dollar Tree. This mural showcases several Chicago iconic momuments/symbols. When I went here, there were only a few people waiting, not too bad. Definite check out this mural out if you're in the Logan Square area. The area itself is great to stroll around (don't drive, traffic sucks) on a Saturday afternoon.

It's a must see as far as tourist spots to hit up… No much else to say. See for yourself and let the art do the talking.

Cloud Gate I'm really happy for you and Imma let you finish but The Greetings from Chicago Mural is a better!

Art, especially when done correctly has the power the make a place more welcoming and inviting. This mural does just that. The area is high in traffic and buildings aren't at its top shape but there plenty of people walking around and living.

The mural is located in a large vacant lot across other large murals. Just drive up to the lot and park. The lot is uneven so be careful.

It was 20 minutes away from the airport with traffic and I was able to snap some shots and make it on time for my flight.

Bookmark! Plan and pay a visit if you're in town!

Great little stop for tourists and locals alike! This mural encapsulates all things Chicago! It's located in the Logan Square neighborhood and is very close to the L. It's located in a parking lot without a ton else around so maybe don't come after dark. But such a great picture op!

Tourists & locals should all stop by here for a picture at this newly-built sign. The Greetings Tour has at last stopped by Chicago!

This mural is located in Logan Square & you can easily get off at the CTA California Line.

Beware, the area can be a little sketch and there aren't that many tourists here so you might wanna go before it gets dark.
