Three macines-three batteries….have been trying to get CS to replace faulty (still under warranty) for over a year….get one "acknowledgement" of email then nothing….send receipts/battery serial numbers and still nothing…hold times average 2 hours +….Really a terrible company to do business with…too bad cause their equipment has been pretty good.

Greenworks supplier have done nothing to rectify this matter, selling machines that are not fit for purpose with no guarantee inside the box. We received the greenworks cordless hedge trimmer, there was no guarantee in the box, we asked for the guarantee before we tried the machine the company Robert Dyas (RD) said the receipt was enough we explained RD did not provide a receipt only a confirmation number, RD said that was enough. We tried the machine, once the battery was low we tried to charge it, the battery would not charge, we contacted RD they blamed their supplier RD customer services did nothing to put it right, we sought legal advice and sent them a legal letter giving them 14 days to either replace the machine or refund our money, the 14 days ends on Sunday, we have had no replacement machine and no refund, we do not believe this will happen over the weekend. Disgusting diabolical customer services. In future I will use any other company and only use Robert Dyas and greenworks equipment as a last resort unlikely this will happen. We are still left with a machine taking up space that does not work, it is not "fit for purpose". I hope this help others to be careful what they buy and where they buy it. Robert Dyas take the money we bought from them, but they will not replace a faulty machine and they will not refund us, even though legally they are bound to do this, we only had the machine since it was delivered on 20 Oct 2020, I sent the legal letter on 26 Oct 2020 but RD seem to think they can treat their customers in this disgusting manner and get away with it. Both Robert Dyas and Greenworks have a moral and legal obligation to their customers but neither have made any attempt to rectify this machine. I now have to seek legal advice again on Monday. RD have now said Greenworks supplier will take away the hedge trimmer and check it on Monday and send a replacement within 5 days. Greenworks have behaved in the same disgusting way as Robert Dyas, in future I will avoid Greenworks equipment. If I could possibly give no stars I would but that option is not available.

I have been trying to reach their customer service for parts. I tried twice waiting on hold for almost 2 hours, only to be disconnected. I have emailed them twice with no reply. I have filled out their contact us form online and still no reply… Have they gone out of business or do they just not care about retaining current customers?

I bought the "60-Volt Push 21-in Cordless Electric Lawn Mower" in Aug'20 and it stopped working in Oct'20. (In 2 months), after complete the 1st level troubleshooting with the call center representative, they suggest me to take the machine to their authorized service center instead of giving me the replacement. The worst situation not yet to come…I submitted my machine to the service center on the same day, and the service center person said he has 15 days backlog so it will take some time. Today after more than 15 days when I called at the service center he said still he had no chance to get look into, and he doesn't know when he gets a chance. WOW…..He is not ready to confirm any day/date when my machine will get FIX.
So now I have to call some to cut the grass on my lawn, else I will get HOA notice. So, after investing $300 in a lawn mover, I am searching for a lawn mover person who can come and cut my lawn grass.
Very disappointed with the product as well as the service that they provide.

I have several green work products and ordered a 24 inch hedge trimmer from the website. They sent me an email that said my order was processing and the second paragraph of the email said my order had been canceled due to credit card verification. I tried to contact green works and was number 53 in their customer service queue.I would strongly recommend considering their poor customer service before investing in their products. I am now forced to go buy new products so I can utilize the same batteries and hopefully they鈥檒l have better customer service in the event I should ever need them.

I thought I was buying a premium product how wrong was I if they can't provide parts. Steer clear of greenworks products

I ordered 2 40v 4.0 ah batteries for $290.00 on October 5th, 2020. I received 1 battery and 1 battery only. The shipping box is too small to have 2 of these batteries inside, but the shipping label shows weight of shipping 7lbs. I used the Greenworks website and contacted Greenworks by e-mail, but I have gotten no response so far. Today is Oct 13th. I called regarding the second battery and have not received a resolution for the charge. I feel I should be refunded for 1 battery. I am confused by the shipping information on the label as well. My place was 167th in the call queue. The wait was over two hours. The customer service rep said she would have to email her supervisor. I called my credit card company to dispute the charge. The battery is unopened, and I have the shipping box as well. I also made photos that clearly show the box with all the shipping labels as well as a photo that indicates two batteries cannot fit in the shipping box.
I will take care in the future when ordering more than one item online in the future. I will also move on from Greenworks products.

G40DT35 cordless scarifier, also listed as an aerator and lawn rake with 3 settings for height ranging from minus 10 to plus 5cm. After it chewed my lawn up I contacted them and they said it is set to a 1cm depth below soil. I asked them why their website states;
EFFICIENT – Greenworks cordless aerator G40DT35 supports you with 3600 RPM and 20 steel tines with a depth of 1 cm as well as central working height adjustment in 3 levels from -10 to + 5 cm
They replied its discontinued in the UK and to contact the seller, they had absolutely no interest whatsoever. Its a shame as I also have a Greenworks cordless strimmer which is great, but will never buy from them again.

Got a lawn mower some 2-3 Years back and to be Honest I don't remember exactly the date. I lost the receipt and contacted customer support for help on Sep 13th requesting for help. I was contacted back on Oct 6th(It's not a Typo. Literally they had taken more than 3 weeks to acknowledge my request) mentioning that they will not honor the warranty due to lack of receipt. Its not worth spending hundreds of dollars with customer support of this kind.

Customer service appears non-existent. I have tried to reach them for over a week now (10/3/2020) via email and phone. The only email response I get is Greenworks wanting me to purchase tools from them. When I call, I'm told I am in position 62 (not a typo, 62) in the que.
I related to them in email that I have a 60 volt battery that is 2 years into its 4 year life warranty. The battery will not run the leaf blower for more than 3 seconds and will not take a charge when place in the charger.
The Greenworks tools I have (leaf blower, birthday gift from my son, and hedge trimmer I purchased after that) work well and this is my first need for service.
Most reviews I have read for tools are good but digging deeper (and that is what led me to this website) I find an alarming high rate of SERVICE calls are rated very poor.
I've learned over my 60+ years whatever you buy is no better than the service behind it. Just my two cents.

In May I bought a lawnmower from greenworks.com
Immediately my credit card was stolen. This was because of the inept people at greenworks. Greenworks gave away enough info that people were able to make purchases and change my address with my credit card company. My experience would be 1 star even if this hadn't happened.
A week after making the purchase, a mower arrived. It was not the mower I ordered.
A few days later I'm told the correct mower has been shipped and to leave the wrong mower out for pickup.
Several days pass and no one will pick up the wrong mower. UPS parks in front of my house several times a day but does not take the mower.
Several more days pass and a new mower is delivered. The wrong mower is also picked up. The new mower is missing several parts. The box is not sealed and I believe the parts fell out during shipment. The parts in the box are loose and just banging around.
I let them know about the missing parts. They asked me to check the battery compartment. The parts are not in the battery compartment. They ask for the serial number and date of manufacture, I respond immediately.
Days pass.
They tell me they have shipped the missing parts.
The wrong mower is re-delivered to me. I let them know.
They send me an email calling me "Lashika" (who is that?) telling me I got the wrong mower. No kidding.
Days pass.
I receive half of the missing parts I need. They tell me they placed the order for all of the parts and I should have received them. Well that didn't happen. They ask for a photo of what I received. I send them photos of the parts and pick slip. They tell me they will expedite shipment of the still missing parts.
They ask me to write a review of their mower for their website. I write a review the best that I am able to with a non functioning mower. They delete my review.
Several days pass.
The "expedited" part arrives. The mower is ok. Customer service is awful.

Battery life is a joke. A recommended battery in a mower last 7-15 minutes. Customer service took six weeks to reply to my problems with battery life a chain that falls off repeatedly on the pole saw. Customer service recommended buying yet another $120 battery, they were rude and gave bad information. I鈥檓 stuck with $400 worth of their junk .

I purchased a Greenworks self propelled lawnmower in March of this year. The self-propel feature started giving me issues. I contacted customer service several weeks ago about the issue (I waited well over an hour to get someone in customer service), and finally on 9/2 I got an email stating that they would send a replacement in 5-10 business days. There was no indication of tracking, so I tried contacting customer service again (I was 129 in cue). I now have to wait until they call me back. Not happy with this company.

I bought a power sprayer from my local Lowe's in January. It worked great up till a month ago. All of the sudden, I have no power to the unit. I tried calling the customer service line. The person on the phone asked me if I was home at the time of the call. I mentioned to her that I was at work. She told me to try to purge the item with water. She also mentioned to email her pictures of the model and serial #; she was going to look into getting a replacement. She told me to email her at the start of this week. I have yet to hear back any response. One would think that they would stand behind their product too; especially after 8 months of use…

Greenworkstools canada has the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I tried to order a motor control box from their website but after going through the whole long involved process found out that it was shipped from the US and freight would be $120 for a $25 part. Then I had to do more research to find that In Canada you have to phone a toll free number to order, the link on the website is just to throw you off the trail. Phoning the number, I found that I was # 205 in the queue, after a couple of hours I was down to # 78 when the call dropped and I was back to square one. Phoning early the next morning I started out at in the seventies and had the option of having a call back which happened in a couple of hours when I was able to place my order. I received a confirming email with the invoice # and the estimated delivery time of 10 to 15 days. Two weeks later I started looking to find out where this part was and I find that it's not even been shipped. Going through my emails I found a email, that I hadn't seen, from greenworks dated the day after my invoice requesting my phone number in order to process my order. This after they returned ny phone call!! So I've been sitting here waiting for 2 weeks for a part that hasn't shipped and never would have if I hadn't started checking and now they won't answer my e-mails, so now I have to start the process all over again. Never, ever Greenworks.
Why do you make it so difficult to do such a simple thing as order a part that you claim to have in stock?

Purchased a cordless lawnmower in March. It stopped working in July. Called greenworks customer service (hour wait time) and they had a brand new one out to me in a week. Looks like they made some modifications to know problems. Excellent customer service.

Ordered a lawnmower blade from their website. UPS tracking stopped with no updates for over a month while it was en route to me. Company wouldn't even look into it, told me it was my problem now. I found them quite rude. As a business owner who constantly puts customers first, these guys really know how to lose a customer.

Bought a Greenworks Lawnmower a few years back. Had immediate problems with discharged 40v batteries showing up as fully charged until they cooled down, when they could be recharged.
Greenworks said send them back for testing at my cost (forget it). Moved away for a while and stored the mower. Two years later, same problem, so I contacted Greenworks customer service to see what could be done. No acknowledgement for over a week.
Seriously, don't bother with this dreadful company or it's crummy products. I wanted to avoid a petrol mower for environmental reasons, but I'm off to buy a Honda and this Greenworks junk is going to the tip. My last Honda worked for years and years until I hit a hidden manhole cover and wrote it off. An amazing machine that just kept going.
Update. I eventually got this response from handydistribution.co.uk.
'Thank you for your email.
It is very unusual for both batteries to be faulty. Therefore, it sounds it me it could be the lawnmower that is faulty.'
How very helpful to provide such an insightful solution to the problem. Also based on what I told them, a completely wrong assumption. The mower worked fine with fully charged batteries, I just can't charge them; ergo the problem will be with the charger or the batteries.
The whole lot is going to recycling.

I have three Greenworks tools that were all working great but my leaf blower randomly just stopped working a couple months ago. I have attempted to contact via email twice within 6 weeks with no response. I have tried calling them and when I was on hold no one ever answered. I just tried calling again and after hitting '1' for English it actually disconnects so now you can't even wait on hold. I've even tried tweeting at them on Twitter with no response.
So I guess I will need to buy a new leaf blower which sucks especially since all my tools use the same battery but I'm definitely not buying a Greenworks tools again.

Motor started smoking, still under warranty but no one answered my customer service call for hours and emailing them did nothing, I'm still awaiting response after nearly a month. Ended up having to just buy a new lawnmower. I will never buy from them again and will advise everyone to avoid them. Also this issue triggered a recall, but my S/N did not qualify.

There is no promotion for July 4th. Suddenly it appeared in a warehouse. shortly after Sunday it will disappear and again in LOWES it will be possible to buy for the same price. Marketing trick
