My partner and I had a lovely stay at Greenside, York on Saturday 14th September 2019! We had arrived late Saturday night, after having to book a room at very short notice due to a booking issue at our intended hotel, but the landlady was very welcoming, kind, smiley and helpful! She gave us the choice of two rooms and showed us to our chosen room, which was clean, pleasant, comfortable and spacious. The landlady told us we could get cash to pay at the local shop next door then left us to settle in to our room, unpack our things then visit the cashpoint at our leisure. Upon our arrival the landlady smilingly greeted us again and went through the breakfast options, in which we were given a variety of choice for what we wanted to have. We were told the breakfast times then we went to our room and settled in for the night. The next morning we came down to breakfast in the breakfast/dining room near the end of the breakfast hour, but the landlady greeted us with a smile and a good morning then told us we could sit where we liked. We chose a table then she came over to us and gave us a choice of cereals, hot drinks and full cooked breakfast or poached egg on toast. When we'd said what we wanted the lady went to the kitchen then came back presently with a tray bearing a coffee jug and milk, two glasses of orange juice and coffee cups, as well as cereal and several slices of toast. Not long after the landlady's husband came with the cooked breakfast and egg on toast. The whole time we were served promptly, cheerfully and smilingly by the landlady and her husband and were made to feel very welcome! We were also allowed to take our time with everything and not rushed at all especially with the checking-out process. The food and the location were also very lovely! We would definitely recommend Greenside and will be booking there again in the future! 5*!!

I totally echo the sentiments of all of these negative Greenside comments, they are just scammers and fraudsters. Also, be aware that www.trafficconesandsafetycones.com are also the same company and they will treat you with the same distain as Greenside. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. How are companies like this allowed to steal your money.

Refuse to remove our address from their spam spewing mails. Do they really believe we buy goods from overseas for more than what we pay locally. What a bunch of bloody pillocks.

It has been sending a stream of sales e-mails and I want to find out how it got hold of my personal details.

DANGER DANGER – My mother Paid GreensideOnline over 拢70 for an order and they never delivered, – they make you feel safe by calling you after a week, to say "its on back order", but thats part of their trick: either you forget or the payment protection time expires! HA HA another loser gets stung by GreensideOnline. I made two expensive calls to agents who seemed very nervous and cagey (probably sorry for their employers victims). They had also kept promising the order was being dispatched. I have called PayPal to warn them their Logos are being used even though GreensideOnline DO NOT ACCEPT PAYPAL. My only hope is PayPal can penetrate their cloak (fake address) and screw the bastads.

Do not purchase anything from this company as they take your money and do not supply you with the goods–I purchased goods to the value of 拢161.28 in January 2014. Despite several emails to and from the company the goods never arrived–alas! in the end I contacted my card company-who managed to obtain a refund, and its now July 2014. Remember this if you use your Cr card–they will assist you in getting a refund.

I ordered and payed for an item by Mastercard on26/03/22014. After a couple of phone calls to their so called customer support asking where my order was I received an E Mail on 07/04/2014 stating my item was on `back order` and would be delivered in 6-8 weeks.
I phoned again on 16/06/2014 querying my order without success and asked for a refund but was told I had to request it in writing which I did by E-mail.
I had a reply stating they would be` happy to offer a credit off my next order`.
I E-.mailed them back stating I wnted either the item I ordered or a refund as a credit is of no use to me. I have not had a reply. I have phoned them a couple of times since without success.
I contacted Mastercard but was told the payment had gone to a Paypal account and to try contacting Paypal..
I contacted Paypal and was told nothing could be done as they only handled the transactions for a `Virtual Office`.and could do nothing.
I really do believe this is a scam and would advise anyone to avoid greenside at all costs.
I wish I had seen these reviews previously.

I echo all other reviews of this site, the people saying that the site is good must be working for them or something cause I have had nothing but trouble. I placed order on the 31st of March 2014. I wish I had read these reviews first. placing the order was not a problem. Had the confirmation email (with their wrong contact details) explaining that standard delivery would be between 3 and 7 days. well it's now been a month. every phone call the girl answers, tells me she will check with the warehouse and get back to me. she never gets back to me. so I email. 9 emails, and to each I get a reply of, your items will be with you by the end of the week! bull*hi*!!! I have now rung today, and the girl on the phone has told me that I cannot cancel the order as it has left the warehouse and will be with me by the latest of Wednesday next week. needless to say, after reading the reviews on this page, I have no hopes at all. also, most online companies will at least refund the delivery charge if you have had to wait this long!. but this company has no customer value. how these people can do this is beyond and they should be closed down! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! STAY WELL CLEAR!

Ditto all other reviews. Difficult to see how this company continues to trade. On the plus side they do take paypal so you have some chance of getting your money back for small orders as they don't even respond to paypal. However to avoid any hassle just avoid them, regardless of how much of a bargain they seem to be you will not get your goods.

Customer service is a joke…. as far as i can see they have no stock and still take your maney….. Avoid at all costs…….I order photo printing paper 拢210 and was tols 7 day delivery and after 7 days was told 7 weeks and you cannot cancel…. currently going through PayPal to try and get my money back….

Greenside are probably illegal. They took my money with the standard "few days" delivery. When my goods didn't arrive it became "backorder" 4-6 weeks. When that didn't happen it became ANOTHER 4-6 weeks. When I requested a refund all I get is "being processed". and it goes on and on. The cunning bit is that the value is below what credit card companies will guarantee and the delaying tactics make any follow up from Paypal void. AVOID like the plague!

My experience is the same as all the other bad re reviews – seems the phrase "I'll contact the warehouse and ring you back" is their standard response to keep you hanging on in the hope you'll eventually give up. Trouble is with low value items (mine is 拢19.99) it just isn't worthwhile pursuing them and of course under拢100 the credit card company don't want to know. I wish I'd visited this website before placing the order – you certainly live & learn!

They do not ship, they stall, they keep emailing dispatch notes but no goods arrive.

I do not believe there is an office at the published address I think calls are handled at a home

I can't agree more with other victims of this site – THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS! Even the Post Office can't find their postal address. Big companies or bulk buyers *might* stand a chance of getting what they order out of this company but individuals are taking a big gamble placing an order with these scammers. They also seem to trade as SDL Supplies and Security Direct and I'm sure there are others besides – if you come across a site that has a style similar to any of these sites DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. Surely some organisation out there can do something about these con men?

AWFUL!!! Do not use this website! I've been waiting 6 weeks for a delivery and cannot get through to a single person on the phone. We are a very small charity and to have our money wasted like this is wrong. DO NOT PLACE AN ORDER WITH THIS COMPANY!

As with other customers we paid up front for the products but still waiting to receive the items after 2 months. We have phoned them several times and have received the same answer on each occasion. "We will check with our Warehouse to see where you order is". Have tried to cancel our order but received an e-mail to say that we would receive our order in 5 – 7 days. after 14 days still waiting. Have contacted the Trading Standards regarding the Company but said they could not do anything as it is Civil and not a Criminal Case. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM AND SHOULD BE CLOSED DOWN.

Never received goods and email them every day for a refund. Got through to customer service but they cannot help and pass you onto someone else who is an answer phone. You just keep going in circles. There scam is too keep u hoping u will get a refund but when u try and claim back the credit card company cannot help as too much time has passed. They are a con

DO NOT GO NEAR THESE PEOPLE.
At best they are utterly incompetant, at worst they are outright thiefs. they have completely failed to deliver my order. Offering excuses such as it was sent, resent, (needless to say nothing received), now waiting for back order items that will arrive soon. (no dates)
They take money. do not deliver. Do not make any form of reasonable or complete response to any enquiry either by email or if by some miracle you do manage to get through to Customer (non)service.
If you are reading this after placing an order and parting with money, and wondering where your good are….start whatever process you can to get the money back from your card.

All I can do is reinforce what other customers have said about this company. My order was placed a month ago and I'm still waiting. First the original item got lost with the courier (yeah, right), then Greensideonline said they were out of stock and it would take four weeks to get a replacement item. I asked for my money to be refunded – no reply to my emails. Customer services were hopeless, told me to WRITE to accounts (not email) then decided that possibly an email would be OK. I pointed out I had already done this twice but simply got stone-walled saying all she could do was check orders! And so it goes on…. I don't expect to get either my item or my money back. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Like the many other customers who've had the unfortunate experiences with Greenside, I'm afraid I've now become a victim of their obvious scamming.
Money was taken from my account on March 25th. I received an automated email informing me that orders take 3-5 working days to be despatched however please allow upto 7 working days for your order to be delivered.
A couple of weeks passed, so I decided to make contact…to say this process was frustrating, is putting it mildly.
Long Story short, I wasted many hours and phone calls, only to still be in the same position. Still No goods.
I've since had further communication with the lackadaisical staff, who have repeatably informed me by email, that my goods are still on the way….
Final straw, I demanded I get a refund as this was clearly not working out.
To my shock, I got another email response with the below detail…
"With regards to your email/call we would be happy to offer you a credit of your next order.Thank you for your patience. If you have any questions regarding your order please reply to this email.Thank you"

DO NOT TOUCH THIS WEBSITE. This company should be closed down! We stupidly placed an order a month ago (next day delivery – huh!) and nothing has arrived. The 10p a minute phone line is outrageous, they will make out they are transferring you to the right department, but pass you on to an answerphone message that tells you to phone another number. You phone this number to be told that no one is available. I tackled the person on the phone about this and was told that everyone was in training and had been for the past 14 days!!! He said that they finish training at 3 o'clock…. they don't. He said e-mail and they'll respond…. they don't. Of course no one wants to give you their name…Just about the worst online experience I've had.

I very much agree with the other negative comments regarding this company. Having not recieved my order 2 weeks after i made it i called to enquire. The first hurdle was to get through to customers services as they are only open 2-5, then there is a long wait when you do get through. Once through i was told my query would be responed to as soon as possible. I did not get a reply until the end of the working day when I was then informed by e-mail that my order hadn't actually been dispatched and i would receive it in 4/5 days. As this was too late for what i ordered it for i contacted them again, but of course had to wait until 2pm before i could. I did e-mail as advised on the renewed order e-mail but with no reply. When i finally got to speak to someone again i demanded that the order was put on next day delivery to be fobbed off further. After a very enduring phone call with a customer services person who couldn't tell me anything or more likely didn't know anything they put the phone down on me. I'd asked to speak to a manager but i don't think they have one. I called back by which point they'd actually made an effort to help and said they'd sent out the same order again but on next day delivery. When it came it wasn't quite what i'd ordered but by this point I didn't have the will left in me to contact them again. Bottom line, they may be cheap but there are other providers out there with similar prices and that deliver their promises. Don't bother even looking at them.

This company is a complete scam. I ordered an item and after 2 weeks of still not receiving it i contacted them via email. Never got a response but a week later the WRONG product arrived. I notified them straight away and asked for a refund. Over the last 3 months i have called and emailed on a daily basis just to get e refund of 拢17!! they never respond to anything and the poor girl on customer service only has one reply and that is that she cant help!!
STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE BAD NEWS!!

I placed an order on 6th march. They took my money via credit card 7th March. They confirmed the order on 6th March advising delivery would be 3-7 working days. They would advise within 24 hours if they could not supply the goods. 19th March I chased the order. I was advised they would get back to me!!!! I chased several times then I cancelled the order over the phone and confirmed in writing via email on 26th march. As of todays date (17th April 2012) I still have not been given the money back on my credit card. DO NOT TOUCH this company. There is no customer service / no supply of goods and they will take your money and will not credit it back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Complete Joke
