Greenland Adventures By Icelandic Mountain Guides

My plans for dogsledding in East Greenland was a disappointment. I didn鈥檛 mind the canceled helicopter transfer from Kulusuk to Tasiilaq which interrupted the trip itinerary for 3 days; nor did I really care if assurances by those laboring were not provided. What soulfully wounded me was the business aspect of the trip arrangements: The lack of communication and accountability.

People go to great lengths and sacrifice in hopes to realize a dream. It鈥檚 sad when you become cynical in others that appear to be compromising for the sake of self interest above nature and life.

This was a short trip but very informative. The local guide was very good, as was the Icelandic Mountain Guides fellow. I had chosen not to take the boat trip among the icebergs, because I went at the end of the season, and in fact, that portion was cancelled for those who had signed up.
If you go, be prepared for rain, wind, and cold.
