They only started the process to refund me after I threatened them with legal action (which I was very close to).
Here is what I recommend you:
1. Do not wait too long and start an immediate claim over you bank. If you wait longer than 30 Days it can be that you cannot fight the charge over your Bank or CC institution anymore.
2. Start a claim over Green Motion International. Very bad customer service but they were the ones that finally got me a written confirmation that the money was sent back to me (After 65 days).
3. Start a claim over rentalcars.com in case everything else fails an/or you have rented with this portal.

I believe (with extensive evidence) that Green Motion / HAG in Marrakech Airport systematically scam customers to buy their premium insurance by secretly disabling their credit card machine when you try to pay the deposit. Because you cannot pay the deposit, you must buy full expensive extra insurance. This happened to other customers before and after me in the office. They trap you with made up rules like "you can only attempt to make payment 3 times" and "if you dont collect your car within 2 hours, we will cancel your booking". Because there is no other card payment shop to test your card, customers have to believe them that their card doesn't work.
When I complained to them and reported the behaviour of this branch to Green Motion, they replied just saying that the card machine did work. I know the card machine worked but my point is that they deliberately disabled it at will to make the credit card deposit transaction fail so that you have to buy the full insurance (150 euros for 7 days) which you can do with an ordinary debit card.

Greenmotion in Marrakech had a not appropriate behaviour during the pick up.
To pick up the car it was supposed to leave a deposit of 17.000MAD.
I used my two credit cards with a plafond of 3.500GBP (the first one) and 15.000euros (the second one).
The agent tried several times to process the deposit of 17.000MAD, nearly 1600euros.
the transaction didn't go trough several times.
As a person working in a bank, I asked to leave me a copy of the denied transactions, and actually the agent said: I am sorry, but no copy is provided.
So, In order to pick up the car I had to pay 500MAD more, in order to reduce the deposit to 6.000MAD (where I got the receipt). At this time the POS provided the receipt.
My suspicion is that: Greenomotion in Marrakech, denied by purpose the 17000MAD transaction.
I say this because the two banks never received the request for the payment of 17.000MAD. And with my two banks APP, I can see in realtime any payment attempt.
I will open a complain to greenmotion, asking for the refund of the 500MAD.
Greenmotion doesn't have a good reputation for some tricky and dirty games during the pickup and vehicle return.

Today we should have picked up our car at Agadir Airport. We first had to wait for 2h 20min until our 鈥瀖eet & greet鈥?arrived. During this time we tried to contact the number +212 6 61 94 95 31 many times via regular call, WhatsApp Call & WhatsApp message. After the first successful call after waiting for 40min they said the employee would arrive in a moment. After this the following calls were unsuccessful. When I next managed to talk to somebody after 2h of waiting this person hung up on me!
After this 2h 20min of waiting the 鈥瀖eet & greet鈥?arrived. During the checking of the car he said it would not be possible to hand over the car with a full tank even though it was written like this in the contract. He couldn鈥檛 understand our discontent at all. However, we look for the full to full policy when renting a car since it is much more convenient to bring back a full tank than to drive to the airport at the end of a vacation worrying to run out of gas.
As we finally accepted the almost empty tank as we didn鈥檛 want to spend more hours discussing, we tried our credit card for the deposit just to find out that the very same card we used to pay for the car in advance wasn鈥檛 compatible with the machine the employee brought along.
So more than three hours after the agreed meeting time we had to fill out the declaration to cancel the booking and were brought back to the airport feeling very tired, depressed, angry and very disappointed that we spent the nicest part of one of the few vacation days waiting for a person to arrive only to be back at the airport without a car and being horrified by having to request a refund in the evening.
