We rented a car from Green Motion Gatwich, and are not satisfied with the
service and experience we received, and regrettably we will be adding to your
one star trust pillot and google reviews, (which I only wish I had read prior
to
renting the car from you). 25% of the customers have scored you 1 star!

The points where Green Motion let us down are:

1. On arrival from a long haul flight I waited for 45 minutes for the shuttle
to
collect me from the airport. On arrival at the depot, I had to wait whilst the
one assistant on duty handled a disgruntled customer. The experience took me
nearly 3 hours, from clearing customs to getting into a car that I had paid
for
months in advance.
2. When we had hired the car we had purposefully hired a VW Passatt Estate
car,
as we had wanted a big boot. Not only was this car not available, the
assistant
went on to say that they do not own any Passatt estate cars, the only car in
the
price bracket we had paid for was a jeep, with a very small boot. Much to our
disgrace we had to pay an additional charge to upgrade to a boot size that was
comparable to the car we had booked in the first place.
3. Because of our extended stay we had a second booking, and we noted that for
our second booking we had wanted a boot size that was within the price
bracket,
only to find we were offered a saloon car. A saloon car was not appropriate
given we had luggage and 2 children, the only car available and clean on the
forecourt was a "prestige executive" car, which yet again we paid EXTRA for.
4. On returning the "prestige executive" car, we were informed that there were
chips in the windscreen and two scrapes to the car, which we disputed. On
returning to the W.I. where I work, I see that the company has charged my
credit
card above the authorized amount without discussing or disclosing that you
intended to do so. A chip I have been charged 2 x 拢96.00 for and per scrape
2x拢348.00, bring the total to 拢888, none of which has been discussed nor
agreed
to as the paperwork was not signed on return. And to quote your
representative,
because you have a "prestige executive" car (which is not what we had wanted
or
rented) the charges are higher.

Frankly, I wish with hindsight that I had taken my business to one of the main
dealers that rent from the Car rental depot at the airport, as I am a regular
traveler who rents cars on a regular basis (in the USA) and I can assure you
that whilst the advertised fees are marginally more, the service warrents
this,
the time spent getting to and from the rental company, and getting hold of the
car you actually have asked to rent is all efficient and correct with no
additional costs, or retrospective payments.

I will await you response, before posting this to the review sites, as I will
give you one last chance to rectify this matter, from a very dissatisfied
customer! (No response to e-mail, after a month of posting?

I arrived and another customer was arguing for 30 minutes over being charge over 拢80 for slightly late return – All the employee kept saying is you should of read the terms and conditions. It felt uncomfortable and I got the impression they are poor and trying to make money than help the customer! and another customer was clearly querying something else at the other desk. I as dreading my turn, I was allocated what I believed a very small car and I was not happy. I asked for price of upgrade which was provided at more than the car i had hired for 2 days! Its clear this company whilst you may find cheaper it has a hidden agenda at what i call in the trade "hidden charges" or "cost" . I have hired from many other car hire companies Hertz, Europacar Thrifty Avis Budget Alamo to name but a few and so on but I can honest say they have been very good and seem more customer focused if you hire from Green Motion be prepared to take a big risk and be prepared to experience the customer service which is poor. Take my advice and try someone else.

A few months back I rented a van for family visiting from the USA. While they were here, someone tapped into the diesel tank and caused damage to the van. We were without a van for 3 days and eventually were asked to drive back to Manchester Airport to get another van. In doing so, we were charged the Full Excess for damages to the van, which was 拢2495.00 and were told we would get a full refund. Now, 3 months later… I am still waiting for the money. I rented the van through RentalCars.com who put me in touch with GreenMotion. I would never use them again do to their dishonest business practice and the head ache this has caused me. Be warned! This is going back to 13/06/2016 and still pending… Frustrated!

I rented a car in Rome through Auto Europe with Green Motion.
Green Motion pick you up from Rome airport and you have to reach them because they over park in second line at the airport terminal parking. The transport from airport to the Green Motion office (outside the airport) is in a dirty unsafe and horrible Van.
At the office a receptionist try to put all obstacles to get extra money from me and treated me in a rude way; nobody manage this employee and you cannot claim nobody.
They uses as excuse that I arrived late and when I explained that the rental was paid in advance they told me that I did not pay them that I paid it to a broker and showed me a full small text page with a cancellation clause in last line that I never received before
Do not rent cars with this people, specially in Rome, they are the worst company where I rented a car around the world!!!
