Purchased a moneypak. The pin numbers were unreadable. I sent in pics of cards and receipts three times! No response. On hold for 15-20 EVERY TIME! When the agent finally answers, they are not able to help whatsoever. You basically are screwed. So now I'm 300 bucks down the tubes and no one will even attempt to pretend to help. It's all bizarre. I'm so angry!

It was the first week of dec 2020 and i signed a christmas card for trump and i was charged 110. So i filed a dispute. They blocked my card and now i can't get any of my own money. This is the second month now and i have had my phone shut off and my tv and internet shut off. They just keep saying the same thing. Send address update. Just now i was holding for 35 mins. And when they answered they said hello? hello? twice and said they were hanging up because no one was there. i guess a lawyer is next.

Purchased 2 moneypak cards, operated by GreenDot, on Dec. 2nd, 2020, in what turned out to be a scam. The numbers on back of cards never given to scammer, so still good. I have called GreenDot a couple times, put on hold 40+minutes, and told to go to MoneyPak site, which I did… they have you fill out a form, and you never hear from them. I have called, emailed, and written this company and get the same runaround. HOW CAN A BANKING SYSTEM BE A LEGAL SCAM! All i want is my $1000. 00 back.

I would give them negative stars if I could because they take they money – mark it as pending – and don't release the funds to Amazon. Because of this my little 2 year old girl isn't getting some of her Christmas presents on time this year. Also kept me waiting for over an hour to speak to someone who is using an internet connection that fails when they try to even talk to you. You failed horribly!

I recommend not banking with Green Dot. If your account is ever compromised and you file a legitimate dispute they take 10 days to tell you that the dispute was not granted. Also, forget about talking to someone directly. During two separate calls I was on hold for a total of 75 minutes. It was expensive mistake, I lost the money. I pulled my out and went to a real bank.

I was given a Green Dot prepaid visa card loaded with $20 for my birthday. After activating the card, I try to go use it at the gas station only to find out it had only $12.05. They charge you a "monthly fee" of $7.95 immediately after activation… which is then subtracted from the total balance. SCAM!

On 11-17-2020 I went to Walmart on Union Ave. in Tacoma, Wa. to reload my Walmart Visa Debit Card of $300.00, then on 11-21-2020, I received a text giving me the amount of $171.00 balance. I did not use the card at all before the 11-21-2020 before I received the balance, this was ALARMING. This money was donations for my Feeding the Homeless Ministry this money was for their Thanksgiving Dinners. I was unable to feed the amount of people that was intended. So there is a missing amount of $120.00 off of my card. I have contacted the BBB and the Attorney Generals Office in this matter. I want to be fully reimburse for the amount that was taken, and I didn't use it. I am not sending the receipt, but here is the information from the receipt. WALMART SUPERCENTER Phone number: 253-414-9526 Manager: Kimberly Store#**** OP#**** TE 62 TR *** Amount $300.00 My beginning balance was $1.67. Card number ending in ***** REF# ****** Network ID ***** APPR Code ***** Date: 11-17-2020 I have called the number on the back of the card and 6 other numbers, could not, and did not speak to anyone on any of these numbers. I stayed on hold for over an hour to speak to a representative I could barely hear. I found out my call was to the Philippines! My dog chewed my card, bI needed a replacement and they completely froze my account! Charged me 5.00 for a replacement 5-7 days and to expedite 15.00 more dollars but I had to call back to do that. Horrible, horrible, horrible. Find another card it's not worth the aggravating

Worst company ever they stole my federal tax return and say they have no record of it. Do not trust green dot bank. And I would suggest going to netspend bank instead.

I went to 7 /11 I though a 100 card would be 2 dollars. Of course the clerk can hardly speak english. Short version some 27 dollars just to spend my own money.

I've been using this card for at least 5yrs. The fees are to high for the service that you can't get anymore! Years ago the service was good any time I had a problem I'd just call them and they'd take care of it while I was on the phone. BUT NO MORE SERVICE ANYMORE!

Have used gd for a few years,
They were great, even if your card was lost.
Since only @ 2 months ago, they have apparently decided to remove all useful customer service. I've got 2 cards, gold and platinum, which I made deposits to weekly. Personal and business. Due to lack of any service regarding some "glitch", while trying to make deposits, I now have to deal with $thousands of declined purchases. Not sure what happened at corporate in Pasadena, maybe New management, I don't know, but it's definitely not the same company I started with. Guessing growing pains?

What a rip off! They charge $8 monthly fee UNLESS you physically go to a participating place and load $1000 a month. Direct deposit DOESN'T COUNT. A lot of online purchasing doesn't qualify for the cash back. I have a refund pending and they won't release it for 14 days. I've had the checking account for 3 months. I've earned $6 cash back and have paid $24 in fees.

I wish I could give it no stars!! This company is so unprofessional and lack any knowledge about their own product!!! I had to call 6 different numbers before I got a live person THEN she tells me my account has been blocked and I accidentally made a second acciunt while trying to activate this pos card!! Waste of time and energy !! I didnt even want my money back I was so pissed!!!

This is the worst prepaid credit card I have ever bought. I put $320 on it to use it online they do not tell you when you purchase it nor does it say on the card that you can't use it online.they tell you you have to just spend the money in the store that's the only way to get your money back I can't withdraw it from my ATM I can't use it online I pretty much got robbed. This is fraud.

I've had the card for a while and at first, yes I had some smaller issues but now it seems like everything has gone to hell starting with them sending me an activated card. I am in the process of ending my relationship with them which they are making more difficult than it should be. Don't trust them. I've had nothing but bad luck and wouldn't wish these hassles on anyone.

I wish I could give less than one star because this is the worst company I have ever encountered. A disabled friend of mine put $500 on a prepaid card with them that she bought at Walmart. She has not been able to register the card or use it since she got it over a month ago and her money is being eaten up in fees. I have called them, emailed them, did an on line chat with them all to no avail. I have reported them to the BBB and TV Stations. Cannot speak to a live person at their company. Trying to spread the word.

I really urge you do not and I repeat do not open up a account with green dot there are crooks,they will tell you that will investigate the but in reality green dot return your refund they will steel your money, plus do not buy there money card from any Walmart that online banking is nothing but problem your money is all over the internet anybody can take your money. And green dot will find Justifiable.

NEVER AND I MEAN EVER SIGN UP WITH GREENDOT. My and my boyfriend鈥檚 account had been compromised and OVER $200 was stolen from my account. After reporting fraudulent activity they told me it would take 10 days for it to be credited back to me which we still have not received! I have been hung up on, lied to, and was told that there are currently NO MANAGERS OR SUPERVISORS to speak with. All of the agents in customer service are foreigners and have absolutely no idea what they are doing and just going off a script. I would advise ANYONE to reach a 鈥渟pecialist鈥?and see for yourself! There are plenty of other well established banks out there but green dot is NOT one of them and they will be going out of business soon.
