I am more pleased than I ever thought I would be. Fixed my first Green Chef dinner this evening. My husband and I were simple astounded at the fresh food, easy preparation and the deliciousness. We are so pleased. Thank you. This is the way to go. There was Mlmore than enough food..

After using Green Chef for a few months, we decided it was not worth the money, too much plastic packaging, moldy and missing ingredients. I cancelled our subscription and thought that was the end of it. A month later they send an email informing us that our next meal would arrive in three days (so too late to cancel). I contacted customer service and explained we had cancelled a month earlier, and they had made a mistake. They refused to concede that they had. I cancelled AGAIN but they had already charged my bank account $80. Before I cancelled for the second time I tried to delete my bank card number from their website and was not allowed to. I am now going to have to get a new bank card number so they don't pull this same scam next month. Beware.

Just cancelled. I have eaten 10 meals in their vegan plan (have my last 2 still in the fridge waiting to be prepared). Out of the 10, only 2 would be worth eating again, although I'm not particularly excited about either of them. The food seems tasteless to me, relying on gloopy sauces of unknown origin for whatever flavor there might be. The recipes are more pretentious than delicious. Example: falafel made with green peas instead of chickpeas. Really? It was underwhelming and made me want to get some real falafel somewhere. The recipes assume assume the customer is experienced enough in the kitchen to figure out what to do (e.g., "in a large pot"; what's large? Why not say "2 qt or larger"?) but apparently incapable of crafting a meal plan on their own. Who exactly is their target market? People with cooking skills who are too dense to figure out what to eat tonight? And if you think you'll be inspired to reuse the recipes on your own later, think again. All the flavor is in the mystery sauces they provide; the recipes I received are pretty useless without them. Oh, and how can they constantly provide vegan meals at over 1000 calories per serving? It's got to be in the endless amount of oil they tell you to add and the gloopy mystery sauces again. Very disappointing. Expensive even at restaurant prices.

A friend gave me a referral code to have a week of free meals. I received the order with no issues and the food was good. However, I was charged $80 the following Friday. I was never notified that I would be charged or entered into a subscription plan. I have reached out to them multiple times and they have refused to issue me a refund. If you are looking for a meal plan, please consider shopping for a more ethical business. Thanks for reading.

We're supposed to be on our second week of Green Chef meals but the box is late AGAIN. My first box didn't arrive on time and apparently this week's won't either. The food is decent. Only one of the three meals last week really "wowed" us. There isn't enough food. I don't normally eat big meals so if it's not enough for me then there is a problem. I haven't tried other food boxes but this one is on the higher price point after comparing them. I wouldn't recommend this service.

I started with Green Chef on a promo with four weeks of $15 off. The first week food was missing from a recipe – bummer – but when I called to inform them I got a lot of excuses. Accidents happen but to make excuses and try push back against a partial refund is unfathomable! So the next week my charge isn't regular price – $15, but minus the $12 for a partial refund. When I called about this the women was extremely rude and said it is clear in their rules you cannot combine offers – treating me like I was annoying her. I canceled my subscription on the spot – and that "customer service agent" acted like she could care less.

We LOVED the Green Chef food; the meals were very healthy and tasted great. I even cancelled once and then signed up again. My complaint however, and the reason I cancelled again and will never go back, is that TWICE in the last few weeks our delivery came 3 days later than the scheduled delivery date. Our delivery date was Friday, and twice I received notice that the delivery would arrive on Monday. Of course, by the time it came the ice packs were melted, the food was hot and the box SMELLED, so both times we had to throw a whole box of food into the garbage! We live in AZ, the temps right now are above 100 degrees! I don't know who was at fault; Green Chef or UPS, but they really need to get it together and prevent this from happening! I have done other meal delivery kits and this has never happened with any other company!

They started out good, but the last few months all my boxes had rotting produce, broken eggs, and subpar ingredients that weren't usually organic. Seems like Hello Fresh took them over and they went downhill.
Now I cancelled but was owed a $25 credit for a referral and 10 emails later, with screen shots, they still are telling me I'm wrong, despite the evidence. So frustrating. Save your money, there are way better food delivery services out there.

I was delivered a meal June 13, 2020. I put the meat in the freezer. I took it out June 19 and cooked it June 20, 2020. I was tired from a full day of work and didn't notice there were worms in the meat. I cooked the meat and on my first bite I pulled a worm out of my mouth. My husband had already eaten 3 bites. We both got super sick from looking at our plates covered in worm-infested meat, and skipped eating altogether that night. I called GreenChef to complain and they were closed. I emailed their customer service and they responded with they hope "I don't hold it against them" and their rep acted like it wasn't a big deal at all. WHAT??? I told them THIS IS A BIG DEAL and that other people will be getting this same worm-infested meat and could get really sick from it! I asked them to have a manager call me. That was 5 days ago and nobody has called me back from GreenChef. I am registering a complaint with the USDA immediately since GreenChef isn't taking this serious. Needless to say, they and their owner, HelloFresh, have lost my business for life.

Horrible customer service
I have been getting meals through Hello Fresh for years so I know how it works. Green Chef did not send an email with my meal selections. They just chose for me. Meals I did not want. I called customer service and they did nothing to rectify their mistake. I asked to speak to a manager and was told there weren't any managers available. If you want a good meal delivery service, go with a different company

When my husband and I started with Green Chef over a year ago we were delighted. But then we started to have issues about 6 months ago. First food was not fresh, then food was left off, then the food shipped was not what the recipe called for in the box. Now, this week, our shipment did not even arrive, and after two days of checking they finally said the food was never shipped. We are cancelling our account.

For the most part, I love Green Chef! The recipes are fun to make and very creative…I am making things and combining ingredients I normally wouldn't have thought of and they're delicious!
Sometimes, because of how super fresh and organic, some of my vegetables are bad, either all or a part of the vegetable and I just cut that off. This only happens if I make my recipes 4 or 5 days after I receive them. I like to skip a day in between but find if I do that sometimes its not as fresh. So now, I make all 3 recipes within the first 4 days if I can. I highly recommend green chef!!!

I was able to try out a few of their kits and actually found the food to be really good. I would have stuck with them, but they are on the pricier side. It's almost cheaper to eat out at a healthy casual restaurant and without the cooking and cleaning.

The only thing that knows them down to four stars is their cancellation system. Not only can you not cancel online and must email them to do so, but you also have to cancel 7-days before your next order. Unfortunately, I was not aware of this policy and canceled too late. HOWEVER, they were prompt to cancel my subscription and offer me a discount.

Based on my experience, the negative reviews concerning their customer service seem are without merit. They were prompt and were able to help resolve my problem.

I'd definitely recommend to anyone that wants a keto meal kit and has the means to pay for it.

I absolutely love Green Chef! Food is always so fresh and the recipes are yummy!! My food always comes in time and package so nice . Exceptionally fresh food and creative meals. Great selection for vegetarian/vegan (and others!). However, the portion size seems a bit limited compared to other meal kits. Overall, very positive experience with Green Chef… we have more energy and feel healthier overall : )

I am particularly pleased with the variety of vegetables included. These are items I would have to buy in large quantities because that's the way food stores package them. Having serving size portion prevents food waste.
