I contacted Great Pet Home to purchase a long hair chihuahua named Lisa on friday, Sept 11 and was advised in order to purchase her I needed to send $500. thru the Zelle website. I made the payment that day. On 9/12 I was advised my payment was not indicated on the account and was advised I needed to send a screen shot. I sent a copy of my bank account showing the amount of $500 as a posted transaction. Sat, Sun, Mon, and Tues Great Pet Home kept advising me that my transaction was not in the account. On Wed we advised Great Pet Home that since the transaction was supposedly not in the account we wanted to cancel the sale and have our monies returned. At this point we were advised that our payment was in the account and Lisa was being shipped out later in the day and would arrive at our home at 8:00 pm and we needed to go to CVS to obtain a Vanilla Card for $100 to cover shipping costs. We purchased the card and advised Great Pet Home of this. At this point they requested a copy of the card front & back along with a copy of our purchase receipt which we sent to them. At 5:15 pm we received a text from City Express Delivery Service (302) 907-2181 advising us Lisa was stranded in South Carolina as she didn't have the proper pet insurance which they needed in order to make her 6:00 pm flight. The pet insurance was $530. which was to be 95% refundable. At this point we elected not to pay fearing a shady operation. There was no further communication from the delivery service and no delivery of Lisa. Thursday we sent a text to Great Pet Home advising them we believe we had been scammed with no response from them. We contacted USPS to have the Vanilla card sent back to us, also contacting our bank to report fraud. Today we contacted Vanilla fraud to report a fraud. At that point I was advised that Great Pet Home had zeroed out the card without receiving the actual card.

I ordered a dog named Monty. He was selling for $500, I asked what the total was, he said 605. And that was including the dog and shipping. I received a text message saying the dog was being sent with a tracking number from a company called City express delivery. I later received an email from City express delivery service's pay another $530 for insurance on the puppy so I'm not getting him. A right-of-way texted the number back that they gave me no answer I sent an email to the company who emailed me no answer.

We went online and inquired about a teacup chihuahua someone got in touch with us within 24 hours we then asked how could we go about getting a dog. The were texting I asked is this how you guys correspond through text. Someone then called who barely could speak English and the phone had bad reception. They said the dog would be 500 plus 105 for shipping. They said they only did google pay, cash app and Zelle. We were very uncertain they said they understood. They didn鈥檛 pressure us. We then sent the money then sent tracking info this morning then around 2 pm we got a text saying the puppy was in route. Then around 430 pm someone else text from that last number posted saying the dog need insurance from Ohio to Detroit. How and the dog already left Delaware that鈥檚 when we got suspicious they were asking for more money $660. We then started to do more investigating and seen your site with others done the same way

I have been wanted to get a puppy chihuahua so saw the add on the Internet from Greatpethome.com and I inquired how can I get me a chihuahua puppy, I gave them my phone number and sure enough I got a message asking which puppy I was interested on from there they asked me a few questions saying that they needed to know for the puppy to have a good home. They asked me questions on where did I live and my address so I provided it to them. They said it was ok that they decided I was a good person and they will let me buy the puppy, next they asked me fo a deposit of 300.00 dollars and to send it through cash pay or Zelle but my bank denied both payments then they told me to get a vanilla gift card at Walgreen and load it with the money, take a picture of the card and also of the receipt and send it to them. They called me that they will follow up on the payment and the get back to me.

Paid 3 payments, total $1175. June 14 $500, June 15 another $500 and June 16 $175. All payments we sent through Zelle. My son helped us, Franco Cassella, through his bank. We also had a text only phone # for contact. They wanted another $660 when it came to shipping the 2 chiwawas. Then we got suspicious. We were scammed. 1-7707505327.
