Terrible communication and poor management skills. Total nightmare to try to get a hold of someone. They never answered all my questions via email. They would answer one question and ignore the other one, so i was rewriting my emails all over again each time. I had to find another property management company. Totally disappointed with this non great company.

Do NOT even mess with Great Jones! We have never bot made a payment. I don鈥檛 know what relationship they have with Renthaven, but there is one. They are using SC customers. One company swaps a lease to the other for the sum total of $5.00 and then claim they have nothing to do with the other. They are actually attempting to kick us out of our rental…. we have stellar payment records… because we brought to their attention that the house is falling in. The bad part is…. we love our house as newlyweds and it will be the second time in 6 months we have had to move from a Renthaven or Great Jones Property. Don鈥檛 put yourself through what me and my husband have been through. Just Say NO!!!

Not even deserving of one stars. I signed my lease with a different company and they told me that my stuff would be handled by Great Jones. I signed my lease on July 30, 2020 and today at 7 Pm I had someone show up to view the house. There is a key box on the front door that I don鈥檛 have the code to which means it鈥檚 a Great Jones property key box. I am now unable to leave my house without fear of someone coming into the house to 鈥渓ook at renting it鈥?
I also have about $2,500 refund with details with my lease and I can鈥檛 get ahold of anyone. I called the office over 13 times in 5 hours along with multiple emails with NO RESPONSE! not a single email, a phone call or anything. When someone did contact me after I went through the maintenance department and Robert Lefever (who currently carries the company on his back because he鈥檚 the only one to answer the phone and actually be helpful) they said they would call me back and I鈥檝e not been contacted.
DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE THIS REALITY GROUP. It has been one continuous headache after another

I toured a home and applied during the middle of the week, the day a property hit the websites. Afterward, I didn't hear back from them until the following Monday, and it was a follow up to the tour, during which I informed them that I already had an application several days old. Their background check, which I apparently perused before they did, showed no negative rental history and excellent credit. They said they would look into it and let me know regarding their decision. I attempted to contact them the following day with no answers to phone, text, or e-mail, and the day after that required a call to their national office after attempting the aforementioned in order to get a notification that the home had already been rented out.
The other homes in the area that my application fee made me eligible for were either too expensive or didn't take dogs, so I am essentially out that money. However, what is most irritating was the lack of timeliness and the lack of communication, as well as the lack of availability. I was in the area following a change of station for the Army, and due to the complexities of Covid on the Army, I wasn't able to start house hunting until I got out here. I would have gone with another company and moved on to other properties if a decision had been made in a reasonable time. In my past, the longest I went between an application and getting a decision was four days. Taking a week to tell a person that you already rented out your property to someone else is asinine.
To rub salt on the wound, the aforementioned property, at the time of this writing, was still showing as available on their main website, as well as various rental websites.
Clearly someone is having success renting from these guys, or they wouldn't be in business. But based on my experiences and other reviews that I have seen, you're gambling with your money. I question how many other people are in the same exact situation I am after applying. I'm willing to bet it's more than a few.

I moved in only 10 days ago and have several maintenance issues and cannot get it resolved. My first maintenance issue was on the third day and it took a whole week before it was assigned to someone. Before I moved in I could reach someone once I moved in I cannot reach anyone. I have emailed my property manager several times and I am still waiting on a response. No use of emailing support because you get a generic response with no follow up.

I have been in a house I'm renting for less than one month and have had to submit 3 A/C not working requests. It takes them multiple days each time to even respond then days for a HVAC tech to come to the property to put a "band aid" fix on the unit. The fix will last for about 2-3 days before the unit shuts off again. I have gone 9 nights in less than a month without A/C in 90+ degree days. Nearly impossible to reach anyone on the phone except the 3rd party maintenance people who just say refer to the website or your portal.

When I did not get much response from the team in the past two weeks, I got worried. I didn't have much luck with the central line, however today I called the line meant for Southwest Florida and was able to speak to my property manager Alex. He patiently heard me and explained what is going on. Considering the Covid situation their hands are tied in many ways. For example the refrigerator that we ordered direct from GE is not available as GE could not deliver. The team is working from home and like everyone else members are battling with home based internet connections etc. Now that I spoke to Alex, felt better and can empathize with what the support team is going through. Hope this update helps others.

We signed for a house and got approved, we were told that there were no other applications and then told that there were 2 other applications but none were being moved forward. Then after we got approved they gave the house to someone behind us. So very unprofessional, ignored calls all day then had to call AGAIN to find out that we did not get the house because they 鈥渕essed up鈥? They never apologized for the mess up. They also were extremely hard to get in contact with until a father they messed up. There ended up being one application in front of us which got approved and they were told they the first application was not going to move forward because of a price change. We signed for the higher price and got approved and then they go back and lower the price back to what the first applicants wanted???? DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS COMPANY!!!

I鈥檓 currently having communication issues with them. No one is answering the phone, returning call, messages, or emails. My grass & tree were suppose to be cute prior to moving in. They have been giving me the run around for two months. They leave you on hold, hang up, & don鈥檛 return calls. I offered to send a invoice I was told no. The lady Connie said they are not giving her a answer & they can鈥檛 teach the property manager. Other thing they have came to fix take them a week or longer. I鈥檓 not satisfied at all & I do not recommend them. I鈥檓 frustrated reading these reviews because we are all just about having the same issues.

They are a scam when you call no one asnwer. Then the guy that says he owns the home sound like he from another country. Then they tell you they can鈥檛 give you information on who owns the home after you鈥檝e been scammed. Great jones will see me in court I will be meeting with a lawyer on Tuesday about that f****** property at 325 green springs dr. Columbia sc!!!

Been looking for a house to rent for the past couple weeks, most of them managed by Great Jones. Multiple times they have listed properties as ready to move in and then would change them back after I toured and applied for them. When I call to ask why they aren鈥檛 available anymore they have no answer for me and tell me they鈥檒l put me on a waiting list to view the property!! This is after I鈥檝e had conversations with agents about the security deposits and when I could move in. One of the first houses this happened to got put back on the market to rent and got rented and I wasn鈥檛 even notified (and was told that it wouldn鈥檛 be ready to move for 30 days!!). Terribly organized company with customer service people that have no idea what鈥檚 going on. Good luck trying to rent with them, you鈥檒l waste lots of money on applications just for them to take the house of the market right when you鈥檙e ready to sign. Avoid this company if you can!! I would rather live in an extended stay hotel

No one is replying to my emails or answering phone calls so I'm gonna try here. On May 9th we started to have issues with our plumbing. I called several times every day for someone to say they'd call back and nobody ever would. For 5 days we went without being able to shower, use our toilet or do laundry. Our bathtub and toilet were backed up with used water for 5 days. Our house smelled, and no one seemed to care. I also informed them that I'm pregnant and it's a health hazard for me to leave the house just to use a restroom. Finally after several calls and emails a plumber finally came but it took 3 days for them to fix it because no one would ever answer the phones to give them approval to do what they needed to do. Finally we were able to use our toilet and shower but we noticed our laundry was still clogged. After several more calls and emails the plumber came out on May 21st and said that the pipes needed to be redone. It's now May 26th and I have heard NOTHING for 5 days. I've called but no one answers, I've emailed but haven't got a reply yet. I have pictures and documentation on everything. I can't believe ya'll would make someone live like this!

Worst maintenance experiences EVER! Ac been out 3 times with at min of 3 days to come fix.. this time it's been a week. Water leak causing severe damage and it's been l 2 and a half days and they are finally supposed to come after contacting a manager on there personal phone! The maintenance line is a joke. They either don't put in a work order or underestimate the severity of it! Do not rent!!

I got approved for this property back in 2-20, and was contacted by a agent. We talked about the deposit and move in date. He stated property is waiting on inspection, and he will let me know once ready. I ask about putting down the deposit, he said it鈥檚 no need. I will take it off the market, and you can put down a deposit after inspection. Weeks as pass and i didn鈥檛 hear from anyone. I called Great Jones, email Great Jones 100 times. 鈥淣o reply鈥? I called today and finally get though, they said the agent I spoke with had quick and didn鈥檛 process my app fully. The rental I applied for, got approved for and waited 3 months for. Was just rented out last week. And it鈥檚 nun they can do. I paid my 50 and waited 3 months for this property I wanted and didn鈥檛 get!!!! I did measurements for all my furniture, went to the property 3 to 4 time. The property was put back on the market last week and someone else got approved. Now I have to research for another home in that same area. Careless, unprofessional!!!

I'd put zero stars if i could. What a scam! I found a property they "represented" and tried to get info. Nothing. I sent them a request for info and all I got back was a link to fill out an application and pay them a fee! There were no pictures on their site other than the 1 exterior street view, so there was no way to know what sort of home this was. I then tried calling them and got a woman who kept telling me to fill out the application. I repeatedly told her that I only wanted to see the interior pictures, but she refused to assist. Seems all they want to do is get your money for the application fee. Glad my rental properties arent listed with them!

Today, as so many of us are feeling frustrated with getting anybody on the phone, I actually had the pleasure of speaking with someone on the phone as we transition from one rental company to another in the same house. She was very personable and assisted me with some concerns, as I wanted to be sure a new rental company had access to information that may not have been provided to them. She was nice and upbeat! She seemed to get nobody likes a 鈥?Debbie Downer that won鈥檛 answer your calls鈥?

I viewed a property in Shelbyville Indiana and was very interested in renting it. I paid the 50.00 application fee and was told it was just rented out to someone else. Nobody ever moved in and it is still on Zillow. This was over a month ago. I feel like the 50.00 application fee was very unfair and how many others see this property and pay 50.00 when the property isn't really available

Even though Great Jones took over as property manager for my residence TODAY, for several days Matt has provided me with information and help! He has stayed in contact with me to make sure our needs were met! And the HVAC guy was amazing also! He came out the same day I submitted a request for maintenance and was very thorough! He got our issue fixed in no time! THANKS GREAT JONES! We are so happy you have taken over our property and look forward to working with you in the future!
