Great American Van Lines

These guys are awful or they hire (and protect) awful movers. I am filing a police report on them. The only item missing from the inventory list they put together was my sound bar ($550), which was also somehow "lost" even though I have a pic of it in the truck when they were unloading. If they even respond to my calls (which is rare), they would say they will research and call me back in a day or two. This happened 4-5 times and they never call back.

This is not to mention all the other issues… being late to pick up our stuff, asking for an additional $500 after loading everything in the truck, and breaking a bunch of my furniture in a way even an amateur can avoid (a box labeled fragile was squashed and destroyed from a very heavy box above it). Even the sound bar was thrown into the truck without any wrapping or protection.

Great American van lines and its employees are first rate. They go above and beyond to get things done. I really liked the way they packed my mattresses and pictures. Everything was well protected and the guys were very polite. i love the way they whistled while they worked they were very upbeat. they same friendly faces came to deliver and we all had dinner at the end it felt like being moved by family. Thank you Great American van lines.

Great For West Coast Move I was excited to get out of the mid-west and move out to California. I had good few pieces of furniture and some boxes to be moved, but it was too long distance of a move to do myself.Great American Van Lines had a nice rate going out to the west coast so I went with them. I was expecting it to take a really long time for delivery, so I went out of town for a couple of weeks, so I wouldn't be waiting on the truck. A week later I got a call to expect my delivery within two days; I was surprised! I didn't even bother telling them from the beginning that I wasn't going to be on the delivery end because I thought it'd take longer than my vacation for the items to arrive. I managed to get a friend to open the door for them, so all turned out well in the end.Great American Van Lines is the way to go for speedy delivery to the west coast.

Great last minute choice
I hope this is the last time I move with the military, they were supposed to move me but it didn't turn out, had to pick a mover last minute and had heard from a colleague how his move with Great American Van lines had been devoid of issues. That was enough for me to call them and feel the company out. They made a great impression and even told me to get some other quotes just in case they couldn't do the last minute pickup. It all turned out without any incident. I'm not looking forward to move again, but I will do it with Great American Van lines.

I hardly ever write reviews, but these guys really did an exceptional job. Not only did they move my entire apartment from NJ to FL for the best (honest) price I was offered (and I got like 8 offers) but they did it all without any damage. The salesperson I spoke to, Nathan, assured me I'd have great service, but I was impressed nonetheless. I mean, after reading moving day horror stories online, I was expecting the worse, but they were quick, and most importantly, they really knew what they were doing. I hope to never move again, but if I do, I'll gladly move with these guys again. 5 stares.
