Totally ridiculous with its rules. I was penalised for a private sale and a kitten which was not registered with the GCCF but was agreed to be registered with Tica. We had a written agreement between myself and the purchaser which was ignored by the GCCF.

I received a letter because a complaint had been made. My account was suspended and neutralised. A demand, a fine of 拢200 was threatened. I asked for proof of documentation to justified the fine. This was ignored. I emailed again, asking for proof to why I was being fined. My request was ignored again and I was also threatened this would go to a Committee meeting and the fine could be increased. Not knowing why I was being fined I then threatened court action. I had kittens and needed paperwork, I was desperate and innocent to the accusations. After taking the matter to court, the GCCF solicitor got involved who sent me the documentation to why they thought the fine was justified only to know it was a 3rd party sale from a different address over 200 miles away with a different contact number. I emphasised 鈥渋t鈥檚 very possible this is not my kitten and I can鈥檛 be held responsible for what happens to the kitten once it leaves or it鈥檚 paperwork鈥?the snap shot of the advert was sent to me, with a london postcode set as location. Living up north, I pleaded with the office to see sense and highlighted the address and contact number being totally different. This was again ignored. I was still being held accountable

I justified the issue and provided proof, again it was ignored. I was accused of braking rules but the kitten was never registered with the GCCF and never would be! It was going to be tica registered so only tica rules apply. I then received another email to say you still have to follow the GCCF rules even if you tica register. (That鈥檚 ridiculous)

Confused and upset I contacted a breeder friend who emailed the GCCF registrar. The email was clear. How do I register with tica without braking rules with the GCCF. The response was 鈥測ou follow the rules to who you register your cat with鈥?I forwarded this email on to the solicitor, and it was again ignored and then later twisted.

It was so bad the company searched for me on Facebook and took a snap shot of my profile picture to send the 3rd party for identification. How is it possible for them to know who I am when we have never met and to find the right person from the Facebook list. It was very disturbing.

This was my 2nd fine. My first fine was for selling a kitten at 16 weeks old both vaccines, vet checked twice. Reason for fine was the kitten left 5 days too early after 2nd vaccine. My vet wrote a note stating the vaccine was dead and would not cause a reaction, therefore did not need a weeks clearance. This letter from the vet was ignored by the GCCF so I had no option but to pay the fine.

This company is horrendous. Do not register your cats with this company. You will be hunted and fined. It鈥檚 like stepping on egg shells. Very tensed involvement and very controlling but above all very unfair, insensitive and greedy staff. You have no freedom of choice with how you can let your kittens leave. Lots of old woman made up the rules which are very suffocating and firm.

My name is now on the suspension list for a kitten which was not registered with the GCCF. This has affected me negatively and for a sale which was nothing to do with me. Very unfair but this is the justice of the GCCF.

The kitten was sold in london, the owner had a allergic reaction and re sold the kitten refreshing the contract but on the pedigree my prefix and name was visible which was forwarded on. This is how I ended up being penalised.
