This entire set up is built for profit and based on monetary targets yet affects people鈥檚 lives so desperately. Complete inability to administer anything with untrained understaffed departments and complete lack of systems, Processes and controls.

You are a Major factor of cause of suicides throughout Britain as well as a major factor of parent alienation, the whole system isn鈥檛 means tested!,

If I could give a minus star I would believe me. I'm a paying parent that has never missed a payment. To many issues to state but I shall give one. Shortly after the arrival of my second child I informed the csa to adjust the paymemts to take into consideration that I had another child to pay for now and couldn't afford to pay the 200+ a month for my 1st child. They took 拢13.96 off my monthly bill and that in their eyes was a fare adjustment. I informed my 1st child's mother to try and reason with her and she agreed to taking a less of a payment a month but then told csa I hadn't paid the full amount too which instead of asking for proof they took what they said to me as "Verbal evidence" into account and put a attachment of earnings where they charge 20% on top of your monthly payments with arrears. How are they still getting away with this on a daily basis!

If you鈥檝e never dealt with the child maintenance service or csa as they used to be known then you are lucky . The absolute worst organisation out there. Too many examples to list but I will do one, I was paying 拢386 per month for one child , I was made redundant and didn鈥檛 work for two months. My payment went to 拢7 a week. When I got a full time job I told them immediately so arrears didn鈥檛 build up. It took them 5 months to work out a payment so theY added the 5 months worth of payments over the next 8 months giving me a whopping bill that I simply can鈥檛 afford. When you question them they tell you to put it on the credit card or sell the house. They are heartless, they threaten to take away driving licences if you don鈥檛 pay, I drive for a living so that won鈥檛 solve anything. Should be shut down and each child should get a standard amount like child benefit

It disgusts me that anyone can get away with such life threatening powers with complete disregard for anyone. You have no idea what you do to people you are the cause of suicides throughout Britain as well as disruptive to separated parent relationships. Absolutely disgusts me what a legal government led organisation can get away with….for so long to. WAKE UP BRITAIN THIS IS NO WAY TO TREAT PARENTS OF A CHILD

This organisation should be disbanded as it鈥檚 not fit for purpose!
We have just won a 10 year battle with them over fictitious arrears which they now admit were created by themselves! The stress they cause is detrimental to most paying parents and they take the word of a receiving parent as gospel, even if the evidence to the contrary is in front of them!
They take the gross wage into account instead of the net, as taxpayers we don鈥檛 see the gross amount so why should it be based on that? Many times they fail to get your basic wage correct and often include the pension, which is not supposed to be included!
When your case is due to close and there鈥檚 evidence that your child has not returned to education they still don鈥檛 investigate as to whether the mother is fraudulently in receipt of child benefits!
It鈥檚 a system that is designed to alienate parents from their children, as the less you see them (or are allowed to see them) the more your payment to the receiving parent increases … something needs to be done! The Government need to close this department for good!

Shocking organisation – purely biased driven for money and greed – RP gets the preference and their word taken over NRP – driven to the courts to regain contact and limit financial liability – lack of contact = more you earn the more you鈥檙e liability no higher cap on liability – NRP gets mentally and financially screwed for 拢拢
No decent parent would not provide for their child – all NRPS charred with that brush regardless of circumstances – mums & dads not gender biased are being subjected to this legal system

So a straight forward case. My child stays with me three nights per week. They set it up incorrectly. Failed to raise mandatory reconsiderations and then after agreeing I was right, sent me a letter stating it was two nights. Took six months of almost daily calls. Now have to wait 18 months for a tribunal, as they wont change their mind despite having the evidence that they acknowledged three nights. They are supposed to take pension contributions into account, but they incorrectly apply them. Their staff give conflicting answers that are often different to their own policy guides. Some call operators are abusive, and they hang up if the question is too difficult. I have only come across two or three people in the entire organisation that appear to be competent. Only one seem to actually like helping (Lewis in Plymouth). Their paperwork is confusing and often misses important detail. Inflexible, intolerant of customers, and in some cases just rude.

This is an awful service , they brake people mentally and financially- my husband has had years of awful service from this company coming up with fictional arrears , different figures on paperwork – ending up in us having to go to the food bank and my husband having a breakdown threw stress. Dreadful service especially with the fee they charge this should be looked into further by the government 馃檨馃う鈥嶁檧锔?

They fail to follow your wishes, simple things like writing to you and when you don't get the information to be able to respond they punish you as though you're a delinquent.
They're a despicable organisation with blatant corporate intentions. The real need of being able to bridge the divide between parents is overlooked and a hostile money making system exists which destroys families rather than helps them.

I pay for my child and actually have little to no issues with them but they need firmly reviewed audited and dealt with they are shambolic .

CHILD MAINTENANCE SERVICE should be treated like any other failing business
