From the complete lack of response to calls and emails once they had my money, to the terrible 'hard sell' of the local agent to try and say my enhanced insurance cover was not worth anything and I should pay an additional Euro300 for just one week, this has to be the worst car rental service I have used anywhere in the world. Avoid at all costs.

Rented a car through this company, when I went to pick up the car I realised that my driving licence was missing from my wallet. Hertz company do not give cars without the actual driving licence "fair enough" because I booked the car with Gotrentalcars.com (which is a 3rd party broker) Hertz couldn't assist me with anything. Then the only options that I had at the time was calling customer service or go online or twit them. I called the UK and the US numbers, rung several times, left several voice mails, they never called me back (I am still waiting 35 days later).
Twitted them and they got back to me 4 days later when I was abroad in a different country and we had to drive for 150 miles to get to our accommodation. We went online and there is no way that you can amend the booking online to add additional driver. We then decided to rent another car with a different provider, this was our only option, or get a one way ticket back to UK.
When we got back from holiday they emailed me saying that my booking was cancelled due to uncollected car, they'd have refunded my money minus cancellation fees.
I tried to argue my point that I didn't cancel the booking and because of their poor customer service assistance I had to rent another car costing 鈧?70 extra.
If they were there to assist us and amend the booking I wouldn't find myself here giving them a star.
I tried to call and after trying to explain that I was very unhappy to be charged for cancellation fees the customer service assistant hung up the phone on me.
I emailed them and she said "due the high volume of calls we weren't able to get your call and your messages, you could have emailed us" if I only knew the email address, "very easy to say then done"
Absolutely disgusting customer service. I rather walk 500 miles under the rain than getting a car from them again.
I learned a lesson, don't book 3rd party, even if it's cheaper.

Had to cancel my car after not having a credit card and panicked about getting my money back when I saw the rest of these reviews. I called and they ignored my calls, but when my boyfriend called they answered. Although it took 3 weeks I did get my money back!

Very impressed with the GotRentalcars service, the first cancellation was refunded quickly. Due to Covid, I couldn't get though on the phone, so I left a message and was called back by Customer Service the next day ,who cancelled my car. Thank you very much, I will be booking in future.

I booked a car rental for August and wanted to change the dates, there is no email address in the website, I rang numerous times left messages and was ignored.
Our flight arrival time was then changed until later which could potentially mean we incur an out of hours fee or the rental desk being closed when we arrive, I rang them again they answered!
An email was sent to me from gotrental saying there would be a charge of 鈧?0 but they did not clarify the time of office closure that this would be applied.

I emailed got rental 3 times to clarify – ignored! No response. Plus I believe when I arrive I need to call a number for their shuttle to pick us up, got rental did not advise of this we have found out from the airport website.

This could've been an OK review as I did in the end make a booking and get the confirmation straight away with the car being new and no problems at the airport.
However, I had made an initial booking where I noticed the price has risen from the quote only after I'd confirmed it. I therefore cancelled this booking immediately, no more than 2 minutes after the confirmation.
I got a cancellation confirmation the next day with it saying there would be no charge.
Despite this they still took the 拢452 payment from my card a couple of days later and as yet, over 10 days on and despite me emailing to try and find out where my money is, there is still no refund.
This means that I've had just under 拢900 taken from my account as the booking I did obviously got paid for too and so I have now very little money to actually spend/live on during my holiday!
Although the 2nd booking at the correct price was OK I'd still stay well away from this company as communication is terrible and they won't give your money back if you do need to cancel.

Due to Covid, my flight was cancelled so I did not need a rental car. I phoned and they said "No Problem, we will refund the money." That was 7 weeks ago… and after many phone calls (much of the time they "cannot take your call" and emails (no answer) I am still waiting for my refund… I shall NOT use them again!

I've booked a car, they sended me an email about failed payment because I didn't have a credit card but a debit card. I've rang them for 2 days, when someone answered he was really rude, to the end he cancelled my booking. Not recommended

Email voucher confirmation never mentioned that the driver had to bring with them 2 x proof of address and when booking it mentioned the cardholder who made the booking had to be present when collecting the car. However on arrival were told by the hire company that it had to be a credit card in the drivers name, which then cost us an extra 拢140 for the 4 days rental as the driver doesn't have a credit card.
Now I've called to discuss with them and there is no answer on their line or a customer service email. DO NOT book a car rental with Got Rental Cars – you will regret it.

It was pleasantly easy and the price did NOT change when we got to the airport the airport there were hidden anything or extra fees unless you wanted to upgrade. We called to make sure it was the price we were offered taking to the representative was fast and courteous.

I鈥檝e given 5 stars because of the speed of checking out. Checking in was a chore. Ended up paying double what I was quoted because they wanted to hold $1400 on my credit card or I paid an additional $300 for the car. Car was clean and new but lost power several times on the motorway which was quite scary.

Rental came from Fox. Waited 2 hours in line for car pick up. Ended up paying close to double what was already paid. Had to return car early because back driver side tire kept loosing air. They did replace car. Will rent from another more trusted agency in the future.
