Our house had been on the market with this company for a very long time. Despite a large drop in price we still had not received a sensible offer…..until we told them we were removing it from the market. Then final day of notice in came the offer for the asking price.. (I must also add, if we'd taken the agents bad advice, we'd have sold it sooner for a much lower price than it was actually worth, but who wants to do that ?) amazing. In conjunction with this, the property failed to advertised properly and was even missing from a major website (they only advertised it on one site, I never thought to question this but in hindsight, maybe we should have) for 2 weeks before I had to inform them of the case and that our house was nowhere to be seen. We've also received via email a document with all of the buyers details (address, telephone no etc.) now I'm sure this is against data protection but was told "oh sent in error, just destroy it." Estate Agents don't have the best reputation to begin with, but Gordon Lamb Agents come right at the top of the list for "Who NOT to choose" my advice, if you've a property to sell, look elsewhere.
