If you are coming from a Samsung, you will be just as surprised as I was to find out the specs on the Pixel 5 aren't truely accurate.
They say that the 5 has always on display (which is the "screen saver") but it actually only turns on when you are plugged in or docked. This is very inconvenient for someone who wants to know the time discreetly without touching their phone or obnoxiously asking Google what time it is. Navigate to display/advanced/screen saver/when to start and you will see the only options are; while charging and/or docked and never. In my opinion, third party apps don't work as well so if you're accustomed to always on display and thinking about a Pixel 5, you might want to reconsider.

Same as another reviewer. Placed my order 8/20, expected delivery on 9/17 by FedEx, who sent it to Kansas on 9/14; it's still there on 9/23. Contacted Google; no follow up with me. They won't refund $$ so I'm out $340 with no phone. Guess I shouldn't be surprised that a giant corporation has such crappy customer service.

2 weeks of dealing with them to get nothing resolved.
just send my replacement order.
i received a package that was opened and empty and filed a claim with Canada Post. but Google is doing nothing and just beating around the bush saying they need to investigate and blah blah.
2 weeks later i still don't have my order and noone wants to do anything about it.
wow.
I'll never ever ever ever buy anything from here again.

My Stadia Pro order for delivery in NL got lost between Google Store and DHL. They're investigating without offering a cancellation or resending. A 'Product Specialist' will look into this apparently, but do you really need two weeks? As a former Googler really disappointed. Would not recommend buying at Google Store. ID:4-2515000030938

Contacted Google because the screen of my Pixel 4 XL was continuously flashing out of the box, they agreed to provide a replacement and sent a prepaid shipping label to me but did not go through on their promise. Its been 2 months and I have not received a replacement. Google store support said they are investigating many days ago and kept repeating that. They have now stopped responding to my email. Did not expect this from Google.

just because of that suspension, it affected my youtube career and i couldn't receive my income because of it. a google play developer violation ended up ruining my entire youtube career

I have a Food Saver vacuum sealer which stopped working. There's still 2 years left on the warranty. I contacted customer service and after 2 weeks didn't hear from them. So I tried again. I finally got an email from someone named Mariella. She gave me troubleshooting hints, which I already stated I tried, in my original contact. I explained this and when she responded she said to send her pictures of the top and bottom, together with model and serial numbers. I did this and she said I would get a replacement free of charge. I thought great! Then several days later I got an email saying the white one, which I have, is on back order, would I accept a black one? I said yes. Then a few days later she said that was also on back order, would I accept the game saver one? This one is heavy duty and mainly for hunters who freeze all the meat from the butchered animals. The top of it has a picture of a wooded area with trees and leaves. I said no, I'd wait for either the black or white one. She responded and said okay. Two days later I got 2 separate emails. One from the distributor saying my replacement was ordered and one from Mariella saying they were sending me the game saver model. I emailed again and reminded her that I told her I didn't want that one. I had already told her 2 days ago I didn't want that one. She apologized and said she would cancel the order. A few days later I got an email stating the product was shipped. I emailed her AGAIN. I told her I got the shipment confirmation email and that it had better not be the game saver model. She never responded. Two days later it was delivered and yup, it was the game saver model. I didn't even open it, took a picture of the box and emailed it to her, saying I wanted them to send me a shipping label, free of charge, because I wanted to send it back. No response. I emailed again 2 days later, and still no response. The Food Saver vacuum sealer may be a good product, even though it doesn't last for more than 3 years, but the customer service stinks. I'm still waiting.

I ordered the pixel 3a over 2 months ago and the product was not delivered. Since then, I have sent over 35 emails to google, with very little response. I couldn't call due to the phone's not being open due to covid. Every customer service agentsl that I heard from for 2 months responded from a no reply email, leaving me no way to respond to them. Finally, after two months of sending 5 emails weekly, I got in touch with someone from the live chat. Still, the only solution they have provided is a refund or sending me the same product. Google store has made no effort to recognise my time wasted, their lack of communication and the fact that I paid for a product which was not delivered for over 2 months. I will never buy a Google product again.

their 'support' is by far the worst experience of a global brand support system, I'be ever experienced. I've been trying to get a replacement for a faulty Google Pixel phone for months now- number of different representatives who don't read emails, don't store any details so you have to provide the same information multiple times. Everything is designed to drag out the process and make you want to give up. Truly appalling, considering they supplied me with a faulty product

My order from Google Store still has not arrived after 10 days. I used the GOOGLESTORE2DAY code to get free 2-day shipping on "any order". But Google sent it by regular FedEx saver delivery. The delivery has had a "Pending" status for 4 days. When I contacted Google Store three days ago, they said they would escalate the problem, but I still haven't heard back from them. My only recourse now is to have my charge card company reverse the charge.

I like their products and services, but the google store will get a wide berth from me moving forward, I had a shipping issue that caused my package to be sent to the wrong address (I never received the package), when I brought this to their attention, they simply told me to open an investigation with the local law enforcement. Not once have I ever met an online marketplace that wouldn't even try to make it right when the good isn't delivered. Buy your product somewhere else.

If your product has any issues Google will NOT provide any support except to ask you to post a topic in a chat forum that will be answered by 'Community Experts' who do not work at Google.
It is impossible to speak to anyone directly or have issues resolved, even if there is a fault with the product. I've never experienced anything like this.

Absolute worst customer service. I bought google nest wifi router, The router itself worked great in the beginning but then it started having disconnects a lot. Reached out to google customer service team, spent countless hours with them with troubleshooting before they could do anything. Every rep will ask you to do the same steps before moving forward rather than reading the previous conversations and 1 month after still nowhere. Finally gave up on them and bought a new netgear router. Money down the drain.

Google Nest WiFi Router I wanted it fast so I chose expedited shipping. Didn't come on time. I checked the status. It said 'Delayed'. I contacted support, they couldn't tell me why or if it ever shipped. Online with support chat for the third time after promise of resolution within 24 to 48 hours. Still can't tell me where it is or if it shipped. I want to cancel. They told me I can only cancel after 60 minutes of order. What kind of store is this? Amazon has the product in-stock. I would have had it by now. Never again! (their solution was to wait another 4 business days and see if it appears, return to sender if I don't want it, almost 2 weeks late). *** Update: Ordered June 19 scheduled to receive June 23 (3-4 days). Canceled on June 29. Reason given was "We had to cancel your order because we were unable to ship it to your region." I had to chat and email multiple times to get it canceled. Day it was canceled I went to Walmart and bought the Google WiFi version (no Nest). I guess Google doesn't want that extra retail profit. Amazon ships me stuff every week without problems. I never complain about stores and shipping but this was ridiculous, no tracking!

Do Not ever consider buying a Google phone from google store. My new Pixel 4 doesn't ring..a problem with many google phones. Had I bought it from Verizon they would send me a different phone. They will not give me my money back and it takes 2 weeks to get a replacement that may well have the same problems.
Horrible customer service and the extended warranty is worthless.This was a very expensive mistake. I hope this review keeps you from making the same poor decision I did.

I work retail and sell some of their products. Both good and sometimes alright, but I have never seen such terrible customer service in my life. Buy somewhere else if possible. It's just so difficult to get a defective product sent back, I'm currently stuck waiting for a response from them for over a week. It just feels like they are purposely avoiding you so that you would give up, and their product experts clearly just throw random solutions that will hopefully fix the problem.

They deserve ZERO stars. My google router and WiFi point broke after four weeks. After 5 weeks of supposed trouble shooting and resetting, during which time I have no functioning device. I spent hours with their overseas tech team getting emails late at night and then finally on a call. They finally agreed it was broken. As if they didn鈥檛 believe me. However they refused a refund as I鈥檝e now gone past the returns time. I now have to await a replacement which took three attempts to issue. They disgust me, faceless retailer that provides no support and refuses to refund a faulty product. I cannot express how much I hate Google Store. You鈥檙e a joke!

Google Pixel 4 XL phone support is TERRIBLE. It is obvious Google does NOT care about their customer and their customer's time. They wasted a good 4-5 hours of my time, just trying to get my pixel 4 xl fixed under warranty. 6 months= motherboard stopped working for no specific reason and Google ran me around town UbreakIFix, Verizon, and back to UbreakIFix before they would make "an exception" and sell me a refurbished phone for $950 that will be refunded upon the return of my broken phone. The broken phone is still at Ubreak IFIx and will WASTE at least another 30 minutes travelling, standing in a line to pick it back up, still broken. BTW, This phone is defective. There was no physical damage or water damage. The mother board just stopped working.

first person who attempted to help me was incredibly helpful. Second person was incredibly UNhelpful and just rehashed the standard troubleshooting steps, even though I had made it clear I had already attempted them multiple times. 2nd person eventually escalated it from an online chat to a phone call, tried to 'help' me for 3 minutes, then put me on hold for 30 minutes before eventually just hanging up on me.

If you go down the rabbit hole of attaching yourself financially to any of Google service, expect to be ignored and treated like garbage by their support team. These people are little more than drones, if you ever manage to actually talk with one. There is no way to touch base with the same person ever again, and they'll intentionally send you down a path to restart your appeals or review process right where you were 3 days prior.
