Still waiting for my phone . The mechanical responses from Google; a week of frustration , I'm at wits end. Google sent it to wrong address. Someone signed my name. Google says I signed for it.
I can't cancel or receive a refund until the shipper finds and delivers the phone .
They have me over a barrel.
I was looking for a less expensive phone with good memory and service as close to an iPhone.
I should have ordered the iPhone.

I've been dealing with tech support for 19 days, ever since I activated my phone. My phone didn't port correctly, I am not able to receive text messages. After they wasted almost 3 weeks of my time, I'm told there's no problem and it's been too long now to return my phone. I'm stuck paying for a phone that still won't work. Beware of Google fi. I wish I never got stuck with them.

I recently purchased a Samsung S20 5G Ultra from Google Fi. It subsequently needed repair so I sent it to Samsung. Much to my surprise Samsung says this is an "international" (gray market) phone, therefore repairs would be problematic due to parts availability.
Evidently the international and domestic versions of these phones have similar features but differ internally, therefore parts will continue to be an issue. When I contacted Google the best they could offer is "If you had purchased a protection plan…." This is not an issue of who pays for the repair, it is a matter of simply getting the phone repaired.
For Google to sell a gray market phone then telling me "Too bad" about repair difficulties is downright unethical if not illegal.

They should be ashamed of themselves. The other reviewers are right: biggest scam ever. I wish I'd known.
A friend suggested the service, and I ordered a phone for myself. The service was good and I liked the Pixel 4a quite a bit so my partner decided to join my plan. We ordered him a new phone in Sept. This is where the trouble started.
It's now December 10th and, though we are being charged for the second phone, there is still no phone in sight.
I cannot tell you the number of hours and "specialists" I've spoken to. They're useless. Skip chat all together. It's a sham and you will ask yourself constantly if it's a bot. Predictably, they will tell you someone will get in touch who never ever does. Email is a little better but only because someone will keep telling you they're looking into it and that's just emotionally easier to deal with (even if it is a bald-faced lie).
I've been able to piece together that Google never handed the phone off to the "shipping partner." If that is the case, then IT'S NOT OUR PROBLEM where that particular phone is, but they keep making it our problem, A. because we still don't have the phone and B. they are charging us for a phone we don't have possession of. It's. a. total. scam.
I guess Google is writing obvious scams into their business model, and we're all suckers. Great job on that whole "don't be evil" thing.

I got stranded outside the US due to the travel ban. During that time, my Pixel 3 camera started to no longer work properly. I contacted Google Fi, well within the warranty period of the device. They told me that they would not provide support while I am outside the US. When I finally returned I recontacted Google about this and was told that no support would be given since the warranty recently expired. I cannot recommend this company.

I have been trying to port my number to fi but keep having trouble. So far I am very unimpressed with their support. You can't talk to a real person. Their online knowledge base is nothing but a circular maze. Seems like a tech company like Google could figure out how to continue phone support.

The price is great and I will stick with them but I have a lot of feedback.
Number 1, customer service is really hit or miss. You can often times find yourself up against a brick wall in situations where you have a valid concern. But this is pretty much the same as any other carrier. It's not like AT&T is fun to deal with. If anything, Fi has better customer service than AT&T.
Number 2, call quality. It's just not as good as it should be. AT&T is definitely better. I can get into all the specifics, and there's a number of ways and networks you can get on with Fi, all of it is decent. You end up with an echo or call issues far too often. I've had 4 different phones, even an iPhone. It's just Fi.
I'll stick with the service and hope they continue to improve. The international aspect of the service is great, at least when we aren't all locked down in pandemic mode.

The most advanced scam I have ever seen in phone billing.I took 20bucks base plan and they kept billing over 80bucks continuously for 2months and I just cancelled the service.I don't know where they move the data bands to just read over 6bucks of data used to charge 10bucks per gig. It's just a scam don't do it
Go to other transparent and cheaper service providers. Google fi will take your money for free!! Run away!!!

I started out loving this service and now detest it. When I had phone issues, my only option was to chat. My unresolved concern was supposed to have been escalated to a Supervisor who was going to call me back. Never happened. Then, when I purchased a new phone and deactivated the old one, I was still charged for the monthly protection plan because I didn't manually go in to cancel it even though I inactivated the phone. Finally, when switching to another carrier, the transfer process was clunky and didn't work. When I insisted on calling customer service, I had to ask for that phone # four times. I called it several times only to hear a recording telling me that no one was available to help, and then the call was disconnected. Never again, Google Fi!

I've been a Google fan for a long time and I got the Pixel 4 at the end of 2019 and got on my family's Google Fi plan. Everything was going great until last Tuesday my SMS messages stopped going through. After contacting Google and going through all of the troubleshooting steps with 3 different agents, my case finally escalated to the Engineering team. After a week of going back and forth with Google they told me their "carrier partner" suspended my account for "suspicious activity". Mind you, I was NEVER notified of anything going on with my account until I contacted Google. I was told I can't use the services that I'm currently paying for for the next 10 days. I cannot believe this is how Google treats their customers. They will not tell me the real reason why my account has been currently suspended and will not compensate me for the past week and next 10 days that I will not be able to send text messages. This is completely outrageous. Do not waste your time with this service.

Well, I didn't think the service was bad. Internet was really fast where AT&T and Verizon lacked, but and this is a big BUT they're policies upon quitting them are highway robbery.
We decided to switch carries for a good promotional deal at Sprint. We were on Google Fi's unlimited plan, so another words their prepaid plan. Quit them March 31st. Mind you we were on prepaid so that should be that right. NOPE! Here it is April 6th and we were charged our normal fee of $167.85. upon contacting Google they tell me they charge you for 2 months after you quit then refund you any unused portion the 3rd month for a grand total of 90 days out before you see your money back for services they are forcing you to pay and don't even have. Well they won't get that 2nd month out of me. I cancelled my debit card. I've also filed a complaint with the BBB and attorney general's office. Thursday, when I'm off of work I will go to my bank and dispute the charge they did get through. Shame on you Google! We are going through a pandemic and suffering from lost work hours. You took my electric bill payment for your greed. This is unethical even when the country isn't in crisis. I will never go back to your service.

While Google Fi is super convenient for people who travel quite often, I had a chance to use it overseas in Asia, and yes I do have data services there without any problem. So that鈥檚 a plus. BUT, I found the cellular service to be somewhat weak. I live in the SF Bay Area and I would say 50% of the time I have only 1 bar of the cellular signal.

I havent recieved my phone yet. But the ordering experience was painful and took way to long. Advertised google promotions they would not honor because apparently google fi and google store are different platforms. Its like a bait and switch scam. If one has nothing to do with the other. Then why have them linked and redirecting between one another advertising deals discounts and promotions. Very confusing and makes the ordering process difficult and time consuming. No help from support on this matter either. One excuse after another. Its the same google. Hope this is no indication of the future. And if i hadnt already paid for my purchase and been stuck with it by the time i checked out and found out i got screwed. I would not be here. Time will tell.

google.fi is an official domain owned by Google. Of course, they're the best out there. Safe site and trusted sources for me. Be aware of the ad results. I wish there were better ways to contact the customer support/help/feedback team.

I love Google Fi. I signed up and have had service for about 3 years. It provides great local coverage thanks to the fact that it combines 3 service providers into one service. Plus we travel a lot and it works in a ton of countries at no extra cost. I have convinced a ton of people to switch.

I have switched from ATT to googleFi… Google fi continuously drops calls and provides bad phone call quality where voice constantly cuts off… In the past 24 hours, I have had 3 dropped calls. The worst thing about this service is that it costs about the same as the other providers but with worse call quality

I wrote the same thing for the Project-Fi but they changed to Google-Fi so I want to make sure people don't miss out on the negative reviews just because they changed their name.
Because it's a company that is worth BILLIONS of dollars they ultimately do not care 1 bit about their customers because in their mind I'm 1 in billions of people. I purchased a pixel 2 from them brand new when it first came out, not even a month later it was already 150-200 off the original price. Then a couple months into having the phone, it stops being able to charge so I sent it back to get a replacement. They replace it with a used phone and the battery life on it is crap. I go a couple hours with minimum use and it's down from 98 to about 60-70%. They refuse to replace it because I had dropped it last month and there is a crack on the glass in the top right corner on the back. They could replace the battery for me for all I care, I just want a phone that doesn't need to be charged 2-3 times a day this isn't 2007.
