We checked online to get more information about how a reverse mortgage worked. We found "Good Life" and input our contact information on their website. We were contacted by their representative, Chris Lee. Chris was very friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about the process and provided us with the information that we were looking for. He was able to answer all of our questions before we even asked them! After we decided that a reverse mortgage was for us the entire process with Good Life from start to finish was amazing. They sent a notary to our home to sign the necessary paperwork on the application in the beginning, and also to facilitate the closing at the end. Once the closing papers were submitted (on a Friday afternoon) we received the money in our bank account the following Wednesday. Chris remained in constant contact with us and he always responded immediately to any questions that we had. He took time to get to know us and we never felt like we were being pushed or rushed. He made us feel like we were the most important customer he had. Overall the process was much easier than we thought. We would recommend Good Life to anyone!

Chris Lee did a fabulous job of getting our refinance of our RML after contacting GoodLife based on a mailer we received. Process went very smoothly without a hitch and we were never contacted by our original broker to same us the money on interest and get our credit line increased. Would recommend GoodLife to anyone interest in getting a reverse mortgage loan.

In my search to find out information and get proposals for a reverse mortgage, my first call was with Dave Schulte with Goodlife Home Loans. Dave informed me about the whole process and every step. He was very friendly and was very quick with mailing the proposal. After talking with several companies and getting their information, I decided to go with Dave. Unlike some of the other companies I spoke with, Dave did not try to pressure me into anything and was not a hard sell. I really appreciated that and his detail oriented approach in layman's terms. He has guided me through the whole process and has made sure all of my questions are answered. I could not have made a better decision! I cannot give higher praise than I do for Dave Schulte.

Communication was excellent and ongoing throughout the HEMC process. Was much simpler than what I had initially thought it would be and our POC at GoodLife, Chris Lee, was uber responsive. The funds were deposited on the exact date we were told. We now have a significant sum of money from our reverse mortgage to use to purchase an RV when and if we find the one we want.. Dave and his team were able to work through and close an unusually complicated loan. I highly recommend GoodLifeHome Loans. We were able to do all of this by phone and signing under the pandemic that has changed so much of how business is conducted.

This concerns the representative for GoodLife Home Loans Scott Sherman. We were trying to refinance a Reverse Mortgage to get a lower percentage rate and have more money available for our use. Scott worked hard for us for more than two months to get it approved. One reason it was hard for him: we are both in our 80's. We were cleaning up things we did not think we would need any more. GoodLife wanted to known of improvements we had done over the last 2 – 3 years. They then wanted invoices which were now gone! So, I sent pictures of everything we had done. Then they wanted pictures of our Social Security cards. I lost mine many years ago, so I had to apply for a new one and Scott had to wait until it came. They then wanted proof of my pension using a copy of my award letter. Being that I have been retired for more than 13 years I did not have it any more and had to get a copy from the company. They also wanted proof of my annuity and again I had to get proof from the annuity company. These are just some of the things that Scott had to help with. We have signed the final papers this week.

Scott Sherman was a well-informed advisor! Although I did not have many questions when we started the process; I was a "blank slate" since I knew very little that was useful about Reverse Mortgage. But he was able to walk me through all the information that I needed to make a decision about whether or not I should get involved. He generally anticipated my apprehensions, and had useful ideas, thoughts and suggestions.
He was good-natured and easy to talk to — more like an old friend than a sales-man type!!
