This company is also trading as "Rapid Recycle".
Sent 2xGalaxy S3 quoted 拢51.25, one both phones always used with a cover case and screen guard, perfect condition other than tiny amount of "spider scratches" on the back of the plastic matalic blue cover, price was reduced to 拢31 for the one phone. This is an insult after all they are 2nd hand phones.
Loads of reviews are saying no monies sent or phones return (at a cost of 拢7.99) so I have excepted the reduced offer.
You will only get the full total of a quote if the phone is in absolutely perfect condition.
WILL NO USE THESE COMPANIES AGAIN I WILL BE SELLING THEM ON GUMTREE. . .
Rip off merchants…..

I have just started court action against this company as they have had my phone for nearly a month and after an offer 拢20 below their original offer ( with no good reason ) I begrudginly accepted a lower offer.

After that they haven't answered any of my calls or emails regarding actually getting my money.

Not sure they are even a real company.
Do not use under any circumstance !

Always appeared to be the highest on comparison sites knowing that the seller is going to choose the highest payer, i.e This company!
They also advertise that they will check & pay within 24 hrs.
Well I sent my device Friday & by the next Tuesday received nothing. So I emailed them stating if they did not reply I would report it as stolen. They replied within minutes. They said my device's battery had swelled and pushed the screen out. Strange as I when I sent it it was immaculate.
I cant prove they damaged it but this is what I believe.
They also didnt comment on why it took them 5 days to reply.
If you feel it necessary, please report to ActionFraud.
I have also asked Trustpilot to link this search with Rapid Recycle – their other name.

Sent phone in but didn't hear anything from them for two weeks so chased and was told that they were busy however it had been put to the top of the pile. Another week later and I received a one line e-mail saying that my i.cloud account was still active and as such they were not able to process. Fair enough but I then immediately managed to remove it from the device online and tried to enter into dialogue via e-mail with Dexter the Managing Director to let him know that it had been removed however I had no response other than the phone being posted back to me two days later.

Quoted 拢173.10 for a Nexus 5 and a Galaxy S4. Both in normal condition for 2 year old handsets. Finally came back to me with a reduction down to 拢143 due to wear and tear!!! Hang on these are 2 year old phones. Apparently they need to be as they came out of the box to get these prices. Didn't respond to emails, only gave me answers as to why they'd knocked the phone price down after I'd phoned them. I accepted their revised offer (what else can you do?) over the phone and asked them to pay me. No money received until I sent them an email threatening legal action. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sent in my iPhone 6 after upgrading to new iPhone. Received pack to send my phone in a couple days all seemed very proffesional. Received an email about 5-6 days later confirming they received my phone for testing.
It then took 2 phone calls (to which it kept ringing and nobody answered) and 3 emails asking and then demanding to know what had happened to my phone over the next 3 weeks. I finally received a reply to my email saying payment will be made asap and i received the full quoted amount 2 days later. In total i waited 4 weeks for payment – do not be fooled by their statement of same/next day payment!

Fair enough i received my money but i waited a long time to get it and with very poor communication from the business!

It has been over 2 weeks since I sent my perfectly good condition HTC1 to them, in that time I have rang them over 20 times, no answer! E-mailed over 6 times, had a pitiful one line reply saying sorry and they would look into it, since then, nothing! DO NOT use this company, it is an absolute disgrace that in this day and age they are allowed to get away with it, are these people not regulated? Stay away and find a reputable company, they have basically stolen my phone!!!!!

I tried to sell my old iPhone 4s. Arranged price sent the device and I was told that the switch on bottom was broken involving 拢25 pounds on repair . Althought I decided not to sell the device due to major failure, they were very clear at any time and shipped me back my device without extra costs. Thinking to send my device back once it works properly

I found Goodbyegadgets on a price comparison site and they were offering the most for my HTC One so filled in the form and sent my phone back when the envelope arrived. After a couple of days I received an email saying they were reducing the price they were willing to offer – fair enough as I was still getting the same as any other company was offering.
My big issue with Goodbyegadgets was the amount of time it took to receive my money. For a company that promised same day payment if done by bank transfer I was annoyed that it took two weeks and 2 follow up emails from myself before payment arrived in my bank.

Would not honour price, claiming 'not average wear and tear' despite the fact the device was good condition and fully functional, no dents as they claim (I took pictures before posting for proof).

They did not reply to repeated emails over a week asking for return of device.

Would not use again. Avoid.

Completely avoid this company. After being offered 拢180 for my iPhone 5s 16GB the offer was then reduced to 拢150 despite the phone being in pristine condition. I asked for proof of any defects/damage and after waiting a couple of days for a reply I received a new offer of 拢160, still with no proof. I couldn't be bothered arguing any further so asked them to proceed with the offer and was told payment would be in my account that day. After several email and numerous phone calls to ask why the money had not been sent I asked for my phone to be returned. I was then advised that my phone had already been recycled and they could not return it (very disappointing as it was not yet their property). After several further attempts to contact them and numerous unanswered emails I finally received payment (over 4 weeks after the phone was received by them).

Don't believe what they say on there website,same day pay out when the receive the fone , load of tosh! I sent my fone on the Monday special delivery.
They got it on Tuesday heard nothing from them, I foned them on the Friday, guy on end of the fone didn't seem to know we're my fone was went to check the records , came back an said ' oh yea you must have dropped your fone the screen is hanging off ' my screen is imaculate ,chips on the side but that's it . He then says a price that was a lot lower than what was first offered I refused got my fone returned and was my screen hanging off No.

2 days after receiving my phone they got back to me with a price reduced by 1/3!! They offered to return my phone if I wasn't happy with the offer, now 7 days and 4 emails later I am still waiting on a reply and my phone! Wish I'd listened to the other negative reviews.

Good service – offered a good price for my phone and the acknowledgement of the Phone being returned was quick.

It did take a little while longer than I expected to be paid but it was only a couple of days (I guess I am impatient).

Almost three weeks later, finally received payment. Had to email almost every day and got the same response, "we shall process that right away" and "emails not working" not good enough when you advertise same day payment after phone has been checked and received. Fair enough payments can take 48hrs to show, but not three weeks.

lthough the packaging was sent out very quickly, I did not receive any news for 5 days after my phone being delivered. A quick phone call and I was told they had no record of receiving it, but they would 'check to see if they lost it somewhere'. After 5 minutes they had mysteriously found the phone and sent through confirmation of the price, and notifying me that I would receive the money in 24 hours.

After 5 days and no money, another quick phone call, and again a confused answer claiming they didn't know why I had not received the money. Sure enough 5 minutes later I had confirmation they had sent the money.

Fairly unprofessional, bad mannered contact, but I did receive the money after prompting, and a better price than other similar services.

Utterly shocking service from Goodbye Gadgets. I received the email to confirm that they had received my order and they said that payment would be processed within 48 hours. A week later, without hearing anything from them, I phoned up to chase the order for them to say that the was an issue with my devices and they'd email me later that day but I wasn't contacted before hand which would have been nice so I knew what was going on and why I hadn't been paid yet. They didn't reply to me until the next day saying that the iPad I sent in was heavily scratched (which I wasn't, there was light scratches at best) and the iPhone's power button was stiff so they deducted value from the total order. After agreeing to the new price and being told I'd have the money within 24 hours it took me to phone them up again to chase it 3 days after being told 24 hours and even then they said it could have been longer if I hadn't have phoned up. Any review on here with more than 3 stars really can't be trusted and the negative ones are a more accurate reflection of the service you'll get. I highly recommend using one of the larger companies like Mazuma as although they offer less you'll actually get your money quickly and much better customer service.

Having sold previously on goodbye gadgets successfully and smoothly, i thought this time for my iphone 6 would be as smooth. However payment to my account took exactly a week from they item being sent off! I tried to contact goodbye gadgets via telephone and the phone was not answered on numerous occasions, the phone was sent off on a tuesday and was royal mail tracked delivered to them on thursday, i got an email saying we have received your device and payment will be made within 24-48 hours, this was not the case as i got my money on tuesday the following week!, please avoid! Misleading to say "payment sent same day we reciece phone" , really unprofessional company.

Sent phone by recorded next day delivery. Got an email to say they'd received it. Heard nothing after 48 hours and had to chase. Offered a lower amount which I accepted and asked for confirmation email that funds would be transferred – told that they don't send emails out!!!!

Irritating service – if service is actually the word that applies here.

I sent my phone special delivery and it was delivered, and signed for at 9.30am Thursday.
I got an email Friday saying my phone had been received.
Then I heard nothing else and received no payment for 5 days.

So on the following Wednesday I called them and was told that payment had been sent on Sunday. This was obviously a lie, because if payment had been sent Sunday, it would have been in my account by now. I called the bank who confirmed nothing was pending, so I contacted GoodbyeGadgets again and told them to pay up, which they did by 5.30pm on Wednesday.

All in all, it worked out well – they paid the full amount for my iPhone 5s that they said they would, but it wasn't totally smooth.
