Bought my first car from Good Motors just over a month ago. Friendly service from Robert and colleagues. Car delivered to my home for free and plenty of time to look at it and test drive (social distancing and hygiene precautions observed). Car drives well and had no issues. No service history with car which was discussed at the time, but since had a full service and no problems identified. Thank you Robert!

Early 2020 phoned about two cars they seemed to have at good price. Both available still but, someone going to view one of them. I arrived within 2 hours to find both had just been sold in last half hour. Yeah right. No other customers about. I saw the cars, which had cold engines, they were not in good condition and prepartion, so wasted journey. I would not have bought anyway. Now got a better car from main dealership.

Where to begin…
I purchased a car from Good Motors (the irony) in March '19. 2 days later, the temperature warning light came on & I had to be towed off the motorway. I had to have the thermostat housing & coolant tubes replaced as they were held together with a jubilee clip.
A month later, I had to have the rear brake discs, callipers & sensors replaced, despite this having a MOT a month earlier with no advisories – I'll go into the MOT later.
Another month in, the engine warning light comes on & my car breaks down on the motor way again.
I had to call the RAC Breakdown Cover I got free when I purchased the RAC Warranty 鈥?which is the worst 拢300 I have ever spent. Avoid.
My 3-month-old car was totalled in Stockport & the mechanic who had the car tells me it is not economical to fix. It will cost more than the car is worth. I still had to pay for his time & pay some bloke to get the car nearly 20 miles back to my house.
I tried to reach Good Motors, but I was pied multiple times as the person that deals with this type of thing was never there when I called. Bad timing, right? I went to Citizens Advice & did exactly what they told me, I emailed Good Motors (I can鈥檛 believe we鈥檙e still calling them that) asking for my money back etc. A month had passed & still no reply.
I go to the dealership & meet Nick, the guy who was never there when I called, despite calling the mobile number in his name, which I later learned he always had with him. He tells me they will get it sorted & they will pick the car up. It鈥檚 worth mentioning that we鈥檙e in September now, I had been chasing them since July. In that time, I had to buy a little run-around, I鈥檓 in to 拢2,000 of extra costs & the car has been dead for 6 weeks.
December, I still don鈥檛 have the car back. The run around I bought was up for its MOT, which I knew would fail as I only intended to drive this car for a month. I went to see Nick again & told him I needed the car back or a refund. Refused the refund & offered me a bent MOT on the run-around instead lol!
In the months we鈥檝e missed out the car has been bouncing around from garage to garage & no one could fix it. It did end up at Williams Mini, which was promising, but they wouldn鈥檛 pay the costs. I trace the car to a place Good Motors use to do their bent MOTs. Mr Shah鈥檚 Bury Vehicle Repair & Tyre Centre.
This place is notoriously bad. Just do a quick Google search & read the reviews. I bought the car with no advisories, but the previous MOT said the car was goosed. I went online to get the most recent MOT certificate & guess which garage carried out the MOT? That鈥檚 right, Bury Vehicle Repair & Tyre Centre. There is no evidence anywhere that the work from the previous MOT had been completed, but this place still passed the car with flying colours. They're not an independent garage either, they have clear links to Good Motors that are evident from conversations I鈥檝e had with both parties, so don鈥檛 be fooled.
Christmas comes & I still don't have my car back, despite chasing Good Motors & Mr. Shah for months. These guys are both professionals in the art of blanking. At one point, I rang the police to report the car stolen as I had no idea where the car was & both parties were ignoring me.
Just before New Year, I went to Mr Shah鈥檚 & demanded my car. The funny thing is, he didn鈥檛 even do anything with the car. His colleague told me it had been sat in the back for 3 months & they only worked on it once I started threatening with the police in early December. I took the car to Mini & paid another 拢500 for them to diagnose it. The car was in a worse state than when they took it to Mini 4 months prior & Mini second that it is uneconomical to repair. I have this in writing from Mini.
The amount of money I have lost on this is big. It鈥檚 coming up to a year, my consumer rights won鈥檛 work, the car is done, Good Motors have gone silent & I鈥檓 拢6k out of pocket. They took me for a ride & made a mockery of me.

UPDATE:
Since I originally posted this, a Good Motors representative (Nick, he is a one man team) came back at me making me out to be the worst human in the world & blamed everything on me. Threatened me with court & outright lied about this situation. Unfortunately for Nick, everything stated in the above review is true & accurate, so I won鈥檛 be bullied in to giving up. Good Motors are also refusing the acknowledge the court documents I sent in January, which shows they are clearly rattled.

Avoid at all costs.

bought a car 17/02/2020 the price was very reasonable, i was given a fair price for my part exchange car,
the customer service was second to none.
The staff are very helpful and they have a good selection of vehicles to choose from.
I would certainly recommend them if asked.

Never bought a car on my own before as this was something my dad always did for me. He鈥檚 no longer with us and I already had buyers remorse with my last vehicle because if it鈥檚 impracticality and cost to run.

Not really trusting myself or anyone else, I was nervous. I chose this place after seeing several cars I wanted to look at online, and the good online reviews and the RAC approved stamp assured me I wasn鈥檛 going to be wasting my time.

They didn鈥檛 disappoint. The staff are not pushy at all but are knowledgeable and happy to help. The pricing is the best I鈥檝e seen on my search. They have about 130 cars to look at ranging from hatchbacks for first timers to family cars, vans and some limited edition vehicles. Something for everyone.

Sure enough tucked away in a corner was the car I was looking for. I took it for a test drive and the guy (I鈥檓 sorry I didn鈥檛 get his name) talked me through various things I wouldn鈥檛 have picked up on such as the brand new Goodyear tyres put on by the previous owner and some features I鈥檝e never had before (always had old cars). I was really impressed but wanted to shop around a bit first rather than buy the first car I saw.

Everywhere else disappointed me so I came back to make more enquiries, this time I spoke to Nick. It was probably obvious I didn鈥檛 know what I was talking about as I had to keep ringing a family member for assistance but eventually I went out on another test drive to get a feel for it and decided to put a deposit down. Again Nick was helpful and talked me through the process.

The car was fully serviced before I came to pick it up to give me peace of mind (it looked as though it had been serviced before coming to Good Motors but for reassurance they did it for me which I鈥檓 grateful for).

I got a fair price for my car as I was part exchanging (this helped me make my decision as other places had given me ridiculously small valuations) and I opted for a 12 month warranty which came with free breakdown cover. Both Nick and I are confident I won鈥檛 need this with it being a Toyota (really reliable cars, I鈥檝e had one in the past) but again it just gives me that peace of mind.

The transaction was quick and easy, there was no hard sell. I picked it up just before they closed for the day so the car was waiting for me with the engine running and warming up (cold night) which was lovely. They even quickly explained which side I needed to put petrol in etc.

When I鈥檓 ready to change cars again I will come back here to see what they have available. They really are worth the visit.

Found a car of interest on the web, contacted Good and arranged to go in. Rob met me, showed me some great options, very professional and informative. No pressure, other than I needed a car as mine has been written off. Came away to think it over, rang back and within a few hours was driving away in a fabulous Land Rover. Rob sorted out all the paperwork, tax etc etc.

Great value, superb service, and a quality motor.

Back on the road again, thanks Rob and Good Motors. I'll be back next time.

Arranged the deal over the phone, I was told the Volvo was in great condition with no faults. We travelled 2.5 hours to collect the car and there were bodywork issues, but the worst was an obvious fault when test driving the car. The salesman claimed he didnt know, neither the mechanic (who drove it like he stole it), how someone in the motor trade didnt know about a fault but we did is not clear?? Total waste of time and money

Recently bought a Lexus from them , not a cheap car advertised as excellent condition drove an hour to view car , on inspection both bumpers ans wheels needed attention , also warning on dash got discount to repair bodywork , asked to sort warning light out kept car for 3 more days , picked car up payed for before pick up drove car nearest petrol station within 10 minutes light back on told 30 day warranty did not cover sensors !!!! said its same problem ??? promised a RAC Warranty 3 months to cover repairs …………. gave a telephone to ring said RAC,,,, waited a week rang RAC no record of our vehicle rang them back, told RAC would contact us … never append RAC when spoken to again said garage had no authority to offer a 3 months guarantee so basically lied to us .. car as still got light on dash and we will have to pay to remove it once we payed for car there interest gone so word of warning when buying from them you have been warned . UP DATE Good motors said they knocked off 拢1200 UNTRUE 拢500 more like as pointed out earlier discount offered accepted problem is THIS they offered an 3 MONTHS RAC WARRANTY WHICH RAC IN THERE OWN WORDS WAS NOT POSSIBLE we were never contacted by RAC as promised AND WERE FOBBED OFF WITH PROMISE OF SAID WARRANTY . once again BUYER BEWARE ONCE CAR SOLD INTEREST = 0 ……………UPDATE IN THE END TO GET DASH LIGHT REMOVED AND PROBLEM SOLVED 拢150 WORSE OFF . SECOND KEY PURCHASED SAID THEY WOULD TRY TO FIND/GET IT 拢450 WORSE OFF ………… YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED ……….AGAIN.

Just bought an Octavia from Good Motors. Amazing condition and new MOT with all advisories dealt with. I know if there are any problems, they will be dealt with, as I've bought from them before, had unforeseen issues, and they've been fixed the same day. Have recommended to a friend who is also very happy with their car from here.
