Good Green moving team left the truck unattended and open on a busy street while moving boxes and furniture up two long flights. I asked the captain to use the side entrance due to less traffic (people and cars). He claimed parking on the busy street entrance was faster. As a result, 1 large rectangular box, with my valuable books, and a stainless steel rack went missing. It took me roughly 5 months to unpack everything to notice the fact things were missing. After the move a health matters slowed me down.
The owner, Jonathan Cook, wrote an email February 2018 stating that it was company protocol to have the truck locked when unattended and if open it was to be manned. My friend came to help, yet, the "professional movers" never asked him to man the truck. His men did not do that. I witnessed the smaller guy, Galo, take that rectangular box out of my previous apartment. I asked him if it was too heavy. He replied, "no." The shady owner had the audacity to change his tune in small claims. He said they ONLY MAN OR LOCK THE TRUCK IN S.F. an not in the county I live in because it is SAFE. The pro tem believed him!? Why? Even the officers at the local police department think such reasoning is very faulty. It is a matter of opportunity. An local organization provided me a grant to help with the move and I paid the balance. However, I suppose in the owner's eyes, he is entitled to give less than quality service? I had a rare book in that box and other like new books, and personal sentiments documents. All Gone! The owner's wife said they would compensate with a check for an amount I agreed to…. less than 1/3 the value of everything. It was the check in the mail routine. it never arrived.
Good Green Moving is really a bad choice. Owner needs to learn the meaning of PROFESSIONAL when things go wrong. If you prefer to deal with a man-child, this is the guy. I should have paid attention to the other 1 star reviews on another site. Peace.
