Report used for the charges of 450 EURO (check in report) is the updated report (AD) we did on the day of collecting the car 16th Feb 2020 that was checked by Goldcar staff onsite and with our conformity. The updated report (AD) replaces any previous notification with regards to the vehicle condition (Check out report). Both reports (AD and Check In) are identical and clearly we were charged for the additional scratches (bumpers) added by us prior picking up the vehicle on 16th Feb 2020.
Disputed with Goldcar by opening more than 5 cases which were closed by Goldcar with no reply at all.
I did a charge back and got my money back with Nationwide Bank.

Due to the pandemic, our flight has been cancelled for our holiday and we have therefore tried to cancel our booking on the website however, an 鈥榚rror鈥?message appears each time we go to do this. We have then tried to call Goldcar (+00 44 20 3898 0140) on multiple phones using a signal of 3/4 bars with WiFi calling on each phone. However, before we get the chance to say a word on these calls, operators at Goldcar tell us that they cannot hear us and to find somewhere with better signal. They then proceed to hang up the phone. We can hear them perfectly well however, for some reason they supposedly cannot hear us.
We understand that phone lines will be busy during this time however, I hope that Goldcar can see the source of our frustration with this experience and provide us with the cancellation that is offered within our policy.

I ended up paying MUCH more than one of the more respectable rental companies.
I could go on… they gave no instructions as to where the car was, or how to get out of the airport.

I used this car rental company just after Christmas 2019 at Malaga airport. BEWARE of using any of this operator again.
Rubbish customer service and daylight robbery! They took 拢230 more from my credit card on top of the rental fee upon collecting the car that I'm still waiting to get back! They said it's in case I scratch the car, or return it with an empty tank. I returned the car with a full tank of fuel and had no extra scratches, yet I'm STILL waiting for them to give my money back that they unlawfully withholding. They didn't send me any paperwork in relation to why they are not paying my money back. I have stared legal action against Goldcar. Absolutely appalled! Will Never use them again. Disgraceful and illegal.

Unfortunately, I probably have a deal with a company of thieves who offer car rental through rentalcar.com and then find all kinds of ways to steal your money.
First when I arrived at the booth I was "informed" that the deductible for theft was 2500 euros and if the event happened in Naples 3500 euros.
When I presented them the agreement with rentalcars stating that participation is only 1600 euros "let me know that it doesn't interest them and these are their terms" [luckily the car was not stolen]
In addition, they would not accept my driver's license on the grounds that "I need an international license", with no choice, I had to pay 62.5 euros to register another driver who was with me and had such a license.
Obviously I did in the Ministry of Transport, it turned out that there is a treaty between Israel and Italy and no international license is required.
When I returned the vehicle the tank was full, perhaps less than a liter or two consumed from the gas station in the city until arrival at the field, for the above I was unknowingly charged at 12 euros and 50 euros "handling fee"
Yesterday I received a letter from them intending to charge me 55 euros "handling fee" for the fact that they forwarded my details to her towns for a parking report sent to them. [The report I will demand to pay separately]
My attempts to get into their email while introducing the contract tax go up.

I booked this car on a promotional Ryan Air website after booking my flight.
The deal was 拢15 for one week car hire. (Yes too good to be true)
On arriving I was offered all the extras to bump that price up but I politely declined.
On trying to purchase the car hire on my Halifax card it was declined.
I contracted Halifax from Malaga and asked why my card was being declined.
They basically warmed me against using this company as they had so many complaints.
I ignored this advise as I was at the counter and needed the car.
But as luck had it the card was now blocked so my total loss was 拢15 which they still have not replied to me to reimburse as i never used the car.

The first time I booked a car with Goldcar for 8 euros for 36 hours. I was charged 180 euros at the desk when I arrived and was told this because I had to purchase their insurance. Given my mother had just been diagnosed with cancer, I was not in the right state of mind to argue at the time. I did subsequently as was told it was too late as I signed the contract and shouldn't have.
After that experience I bought separate excess insurance so I could avoid those ridiculous charges but it doesn't end there.
Again, flying into Spain for the same reasons, I used Goldcar thinking I would be ahead of the game, I was very wrong. I was given the keys and location of the car. It was in the darkest most hidden spot it could possibly be so I did a walk around and couldn't spot anything wrong. I picked it up and drove it to a secure parking area and left until my return trip to the airport. Upon arrival I found the car return area located in front the office which is lit up like a Christmas tree. The man takes a neon spot light and goes through the inside and outside of the car. Needless to say, he magically finds a tiny dent that hasn't even broken the paint work in an area that couldn't possible be hit by another car. So I find myself now out of pocket for 250 euros. I explain the situation of where the car was located upon pick up, I explain where the car had been parked, etc. Clearly, I get nowhere. It is obviously my fault as I should have found it beforehand.
Regardless of fault, what is clear to me is that Goldcar are opportunistic charlatans and thieves. I will never use this underhanded car rental company again and I travel a lot for business. I have issued a memo internally at my company recommending a ban on anyone using Goldcar in the future.
I highly recommend you find an alternative car rental company.

I phoned Gold car the same evening to explain my problem ,and that I had re-booked a new flight for two days later, I was told by Gold car my rental was lost due to a no -show and I had lost 拢203 I contacted their customer complaints office in Spain by phone and by email to apply for a refund,they have never replied to either.This company needs to be shown up for being a fraudulent car hire company ,they need to be avoided by all persons who use car hire abroad please do not use this company .

The other thing is the took 170euros from my account after a week after saying that i handled the car late what is lie as the car was handled an hour before the time. Now I am writing to them and getting no responds. Dont always go for cheap rental companies. Sometimes its better to pay a bit more but do not gain experience like my one.

Hired a car from Bordeaux for 5 days. They forced me to put down a deposit of 拢1220, however only returned 拢1050. No damage on car, and full tank of fuel upon return.
Their customer service team stated on their website claim not to be a customer service team once you get through to them and are "unable to take complaints" The process is designed to be a dead-end.
This is casual fraudulent behaviour from Goldcar – I have complained to the European Rental car regulator. They are investigating.
I fully expect to get the outstanding amount back – However this will be due to a chargeback, not Goldcar acting in good faith.
Closing summery – Stick with Enterprise next time. (or ANY other firm).

We picked up the hire car from Girona Airport. After returning the car when we checked our credit card account we discovered that we had only been refunded for the petrol deposit.
On contacting the company they advised we had been charged for Super Relax Cover. This was not offered to us and we did not request this cover as we always have our own insurance cover when renting a car.
We thought the amounts on the invoice referred to the petrol deposit and the refundable deposit relating to damage, however, this was not the case.
We are therefore 89.95 euros out of pocket for the insurance which we did not need and did not ask for.
Avoid Goldcar at all costs.

Nothing else I hate them charge me over 300 euro for nothing at midnight when I landed ruined my holiday they suppose to be my partner in my journey never again I do everything to warn other people to not use your service and Goldar bunch thevies plus they treat me like stupid in middle of the night when I was tired. People have to get together and sue them for non ethical business practice I don't even have words what people can do for little bit extra money. Be careful inter rent is part of them and rhodium.
