Was very impressed with the service, Anne on reception helped every step of the way whilst organising my car rental and I found it to be such good value for a 2 week car hire compared to other hire cars.

We had an excellent car hire experience with Family Car Rentals. Darryl was so very helpful and went above and beyond to ensure we were looked after even for a last minute weekend booking. I am recommending to all family, friends, colleagues and even strangers!

Was by luck only, came across FAMILY RENTALS via google. Phoned to make some enquiries, us requiring a van and an SUV Fir 8 Adults, baby seats for 4, 2 toddlers and 2 kids and was pleasantly surprised by the the friendly professional service I was given. All inclusive NO Excess full insurance the works

I used them a few times now recommending my sister and my uncle and we each found them very fair in price and helpful in answering our questions and providing a pick up and drop off service going out of their way to help us.

Very happy with the service. The driver's to and from the airport were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The owner and Annie in the office were lovely and made our holiday a very enjoyable experience. Highly recommend Family car rentals. Will definitely use them again on our next trip to the GC.

Worst service I have ever experienced.
Booked what was supposed to be the cheapest car online (yes chose 2 as advised by the site) and received an email the next day telling me both cars not available. Offered me a cheaper car (yes they had a cheaper car) as if I had a choice!, I needed a car the next day at 8am.
Long story short, both staff members argued with me about; had I really made a booking, that they hadn't received my response to their email etc etc So picked up the car, wasn't expecting much in quality but squeaky brakes? Yeah Nah.
Another blooming issue returning it because how dare I not know that I had to return it full (mind you the needle is just below the F.) Another conversation with raised voices. Hmm, am I the customer?
No I won't be using this service again, at the very least I expect a smile from someone who is taking my money.

Rented a car for 5 days for our family holiday on the Gold Coast. Pick up from the airport was on-time and driver was friendly.

We booked a 2008 Mitsubishi Magna with 2 booster seats and a child seat. Expected the car not to be in perfect condition due to its age however this car had more hits Elvis and damage which was being held together by duct tape. On top of that the passenger side window didn't open and the air-bag light was on the whole time.

Inside the car was relatively clean however the child seats were putrid.

On returning the car I advised the owner (Darryl) that the front passenger side window didn't work which was not really convenient. Darryl proceeded to berate me for not telling them sooner rather reflecting on the fact that he or his staff should have ensured that everything was in working order prior to the care being rented out. Darryl was unable to let the matter rest and I had to ask him on several occasions to stop talking to me about the issue but he insisted on somehow making it my fault??? (I think he may have been a little confused as to who was actually the customer by this stage).

Looking at the other poor reviews their seems to be a common theme. Give you a hint, it starts with D and ends in Y. As with the other poor reviews, I am positive this will be followed by a lengthy response by Darryl. If only he put the same time and effort into his customer service and considering the feedback provided by customers.

Great service even with our very last minute booking. Car seats were installed for the kids to save the hassle of doing that at the airport. And the cost was lower than other rental companies. Would definitely use again and recommend!

Hired early model tarago as we required room for 6 adults plus an infant. The car drove like new, very convenient pickup and drop off at the gold coast airport,we were very pleased with the overall service. We saved hundreds of dollars as it was a 10 day hire. We will definitely use this service again.

I have used Gold Coast family car rentals twice now when visiting the Gold Coast. They were super friendly & reliable with pick up & drop off to the airport. Also very affordable as I need an 8 seater for the whole family. Would definitely recommend using them.

Must admit I was initially hesitant about this service as it seemed much cheaper then other car rentals and the website looked a little dated. But it was great. They also have child car seat and push chairs plus other equipment perfect for families. Thanks for the great service!!!?

we have been using Gold Coast Family Car Rentals for many years when holidaying at the Gold Coast. They have given great service to us . Usually having a late arrival a car was left at the airport for us and at the end of our holiday would return car to their depot, and from there we would be taken to the airport for our return flight home. Cars are in excellent condition and well presented.

Very friendly staff and easy to deal with. Loved that the car seats were free. The cars are definitely old and scratched though. Were very clean and mechanically sound. Was fine for us, but don't expect brand new. Would happily use them again
