I love wearing hand loom, as it is our heritage and it is exquisite. Gocoop brings us closer to the weavers and craftspeople who create magic try are often living in poverty. This motivates me to buy from them I receive compliments about the sarees I wear wherever I go. I hope the younger generations realise the value and beauty of hand loom and start patronising our weavers.

We relocated cities just before the lockdown. It was chaotic. With our things stillpartially unpacked imagine our delight to first find this bedspread from your Andhra weavers!

I have picked up quite a few sarees, a few dress materials and durries from Gocoop. This portal gives you access to products from different parts of the country. The range in terms of cost also covers from everyday wear to occasional wear. When it comes to colour of the product, the description matches the product more than the picture,( due to lighting). A few products I have hand washed. It can be washed separately as some dyes run for some products. However you will notice that there is no chemical feel or smell, which assures you how nice the product is for your skin. This is a good gifting choice too, as I learned. On one hand the artisans are encouraged, but much more than that, it enriches us tremendously. It is an education of the variety of fabrics available in India. I am looking forward to seeing more dress material, specifically salwar kameez materials for office wear.

I always love the fabric and home linen collections on GoCoop – the collection is so great, that it's almost confusing to pick! I finally bought a soft grey jamdani fabric that I made into an elegant kimono jacket – I can throw it over shorts for an evening out, or a formal dress for work – I love it. I also got a pretty double quilt which I use it in the summers as well as in the winters by doubling it up.

GoCoop is an excellent source of authentic handloom products sourced through government organizations. Excellent cllection and wonderful timely service.

These products are of very good quality and the designs are unique.. I am a regular buyer of boyanika sarees and I really appreciate the handicrafts industry for keeping it alive.. nothing much has changed in terms of eating and everyday usage.. similarly we need to encourage the cottage industry also for use of our clothing.
