5 PHONE CALLS TO THE MERCHANT, 5 PHONE CALLS TO MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY: the product trial was cancelled within the time period allocated, by phone to a live person and by email. But the charge came up on my credit card anyway.
The representatives all contradict themselves. "We issued a credit on 7/1. " I replied, "I have my statement here and I see the charge 6/18 and the statement period extends to 7/14 and no credit exists. It shouldn't have been charged anyway. I cancelled within 5 days of the receipt of the product. Plus my credit card company said I did not receive any credit from this merchant, (as of July 20th)." Then another rep from Suise or "Glow Renewed" says, "Call them and have them set up a 3-way call to prove you didn't receive it cause we can't make outgoing calls." I call back MasterCard who tells me they "cannot make an outgoing call either." I call back the merchant several times each time to get a different representative to say something different. One claims they will send a check if it didn't go through." Another claimed "we don't send checks." One gave me a 10-digit transaction ID # to go back to my credit card company. My credit card company says " that # means nothing to us; That's on their end.' On the 5th and last phone to the merchant I asked for the manager, and got a woman who claimed she was "the supervisor." Lots of laughing in the background. They charged my card in the amount of 91.36 and never credited me for this fraudulent charge. All five voices sounded young and had no skills for dealing with discrepancies other than to keep repeating that I received the credit, when I positively did not 20 days after they claimed they issued the credit to my card.
