Someone told me to apply for this work from home position for Globus Medical. The interview was on google hangouts. I was asked for my bank account info. I did some research and found out Globus Medical is a real company but does not do any work at home jobs.

None of this information matches anything on Globus Medical website.

I received an email stating a work at home job opportunity was available through Globus Medical. I'm always wary when it comes to "companies" emailing me about a job instead of vice versa so I did research and found it was an actual legit company based out of Pennsylvania. The email address used had the company name within, totally different from previous emails I've received from others.

A PDF was attached, and this was when I got suspicious. There were several grammatical errors enclosed that a sixth grader would have noticed. The job description wasn't really detailed. And the usual "buy from the retailer" mess. In fact, the focus was more on purchasing software needed for the job than the job itself.

I then decided to check on the company's website to see if they were even offering a work at home package. They were not. Nine of the ten positions were in Pennsylvania.

I then decided to go even further and came across a similar issue on this site where a person had a equally suspicious experience. Once I saw she said her interview was to be through Google Hangouts (RED ALERT!!), I decided to put down what I could here to help people who are reading this since is possibly a brand new issue.

I received an email from kelly newton saying she was Manager, International Department at Globus Medical and recruiting me for a customer service position.
She asked for copy of drivers license and proof of address
She said within 24 to 48 hours, a decision would be made.
After further research I concluded this was in fat a scam.
