I initially found dealing with Globelink a pleasant experience and had several policies with them. Unfortunately when you wish to make a genuine claim you get passed onto a company called Rightpath. Rightpath are basically employed to harass, frustrate and upset you and do anything they can to get you to abandon your claim. They tell you that you failed for various reasons and when you point out their error they try to find another reason for turning down your perfectly honest and reasonable claim. So due to Globelink employing Rightpath, I would certainly not recommend this company and would suggest you avoid.

We have been with Globelink for 5 years and although we have been fotunate enough not to of had to make a claim, having the policy adds peace of mind and stops having to take out insurance for every small trip.
The renewal system is very user friendly

We purchased a travel policy for our 3 month trip to Vietnam. Easy purchase process and good price, but when you come to make a legitimate claim things get complicated and extremely lengthy process.
Our flight from Vietnam was cancelled (due to Covid 19) on the day of our scheduled return. I contacted Globelink and was given a link to Mayday Assistance. They informed us to get out of Vietnam as shutdown was happening the next day, plus they confirmed that we had 拢3,000 each cover to get flights home. We immediately found flights for same day, so booked these within the claim allowance (Luckily had necessary funds in bank). Did this with the knowledge of what was thought to be a straight forward claim refund. Wrong!! Kept Globelink updated and upon return home, (taking 60 hrs not our original 24hr flights) started our claim.
I was referred to the claims handlers RightPath. Firstly, the claims form had to be printed and hand written rather than filling in on screen. This then scanned and sent back to RightPath along with all supporting documents (11 total), including a full diary documentation to clarify details. Some documents were rejected as firstly zipfiles not accepted and also anything sent must be in JPEG or PDF. Every time you email them you get auto reply that you鈥檒l get a response in 5-7 working days. Very frustrating! Inevitably received reply on 7th day. Delays delays.
After a few weeks of getting nowhere I complained to Globelink and as a result received immediate action from RightPath. Claim now passed to Claims Executive. After approx 12 weeks I received a substantial part payment and RightPath withheld our full original flight cost (out bound and return). Eventually after a further 3 weeks our claim was settled. Total 15 weeks of delays and frustration.
Conclusion 鈥?Appreciate this is a very busy time for the insurance companies, but this is what they should be geared up to deal with. Globelink in the main good, but extremely let down by RightPath. Hence low rating. Globelink, rethink your claims handling company!
In the unfortunate situation again I would not lay out my money and would leave for the insurers to arrange things!

They are ok when you buy it. When you have to get in touch, is a pain. been trying to extend policy for last week.
They are now removing all support for CoronaVirus, while I am stuck in a foreign country not able to go back. If you think you want a trust worthy company, I would stay clear. Again, easy to buy but not at all useful or helpful when needed to claim or even extend. Been a customer for 4 yrs, and still.

I had a Comprehensive trip cancellation insurance with Globelink and paid extra for a higher coverage amount as our trip was quite expensive. Like many others, my trip was cancelled due to Coronavirus so I emailed Globelink in regards to the cancellation insurance and what would be needed to make a claim, because at this stage I could not get hold of the airline nor our tour operator and thought all was lost.
The agent who replied, politely said that I was not covered and that I should read about the updated Coronavirus page on their website.
I re-read it and it said that IF I could not get money back from the transport company or a tour operator, it would be covered under the Force Majeure so as far as I was concerned I should have been covered and pointed this out to the agent. Never heard back from her.
Luckily, in the meanwhile, the airline decided to refund all tickets and the tour-operator agreed to postpone our trip for a year so I didn't need to make a claim at all.
I emailed Globelink (Josie Skinner), in regards cancelling my insurance completely since according to the information on their site, this was possible to do on some occasions and within a few moments it was done and money was returned for the unused insurance.
Overall I was very happy with the service, though the initial response to my enquiry about making a claim was not good and contradictory to what was said on the site.
I will use this insurance again next year although I will confirm first that should something like this happen again, I WILL be covered as I got a small heart attack when the first agent said I was not covered.
Thanks again ,Josie, for efficient customer service and positive response.

We have been insuring with Globelink for two long holidays each year since 2013.
I could not be happier with their service..
The initial phone call is answered by a knowledgeable, well spoken and friendly person, straight away, ( no queues, buttons to push, )
My one and only claim was dealt with promptly and easily when I broke my shoulder in 2016.
We are 100% happy with every aspect of this company.

I already had an active policy running with Globelink & when called to renew & ask to extend it as my travel date started before the previous policy expired but, the woman I spoke to was unhelpful, rude & told me that they would not provide cover as I was now over 65.
This is in fact not correct & a few weeks later I spoke to another office & got the cover I asked for. On the basis of my dealing with the first woman I spoke to, I suggest they take a hard look at who they let near a telephone to speak to existing or potential customers.

Very easy to book and at a reasonable price. I suppose the real test is when a claim is made but I hope I never need to review that process!

I had to declare a preexisting condition and the only thing I would change in the procedure would be that you should get a confirmation email once your screening has been added to the purchased insurance.

The process of buying insurance is very straightforward and the costumer service very efficient. I had to make changes to my policy, and this was very professional. The only suggestion is to implement an online chat service as other competitors do have.

I have just taken out this Travel Insurance Worldwide for myself and my wife.
So far I can only comment on the ease of the application online and the benefits and cover they provide are the best premiums I have found to date on the Web.
